Can’t reserve, but called ahead and was assured low residency. Park in the first one you see, hard to turn around if you go to the bottom. Room was good, as expected. Marble flooring was cold, bring thick socks. $10 for pre-booked breakfast for two is great value - gives a limited bit very good menu and a hot drink each. Friday night ground floor restaurant was busy and loud music. Not a quiet lounge. Didn’t try the rooftop bar. Room x01 was that the back of the hotel, with unexpected views from Chatswood, North Sydney, the Bridge, and the City.

My sister and I spent 2 nights here in March. The first room they gave us was a bit “whiffy” so they moved us to a recently refurbished room with new carpet and furnishings. It wasn’t The Hilton, but was satisfactory for us as we really didn’t spend too much time there. Most of their clientele are workers who are out all day. They have a pool for guests to use. A bit too cold for us though. They have a dining room for brekkie, we didn’t bother using it as there are heaps of restaurants and pubs around. All in all it was a pretty good experience. Good budget motel.

We suspect very old and cheap (could feel the springs) and extremely uncomfortable. Some noise from the hotel and bottle shop, but manageable. Won’t opt to stay here again.

I highly recommend Darcy's if you are visiting the city or Olympic Park. 5 minute easy walk to Homebush Station, or 10 minutes to Strathfield Station (which has more regular trains to the city). The hotel is simply a beautiful place. Our room was huge with comfortable chairs in the sitting room. Fridge in the room and 24 hour continental breakfast (with plunger coffee) were a nice touch. Darcy's is definitely on our ”we'll be back” list!

The public bathrooms are not washed together, and the public toilets are also very clean. Residents are very good at abiding by the rules.
