A party of 19 went to celebrate my Dad’s 90th Birthday at the Royal Ascot Ladies Day Event. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. The service from when we first arrived until we left was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, every course was absolutely delicious. Certainly recommend dining here, we will certainly be going back, as will many of our guests.

My wife and I had our wedding at Dovecliff on the 30th December 24, We felt like queens for the day, Jordan and Luke were so very helpful and professional. They went above and beyond to create a perfect day for us, nothing was too much trouble and they accommodated not only ourselfs but our guests as well. All of our guests and people we had hired such as photographers and singers commented to us how helpful, accommodating and lovely they were with them also. We would a 1000% recommend Dovecliff for weddings or any celebration or family meal and get together. They were just perfect. The rooms we stayed in were pointlessly clean and beautiful, food was perfect for our meal arriving on time, it was all hot and there were no glitches or mistakes for our guests who had allergies or different meals. There was know notice of the change over from ceremony to wedding meals or to the evening, it was done so quickly professionally and no mess or clutter. We had a five star treatment and we are very thankful, we will be back. Thank you again Jordan, you gave us a magical wedding ♥️

We liked this hotel and the gardens. We arrived after a late booking not knowing what to expect. Parking is free in front of the hotel with plenty of room to park your car. The lady at the reception was not very helpful and curt and unfriendly. We saw her again the next morning and he demeanour was the same, not the professional behaviour you expect.. There is a very nice garden with lovely old trees around the hotel you can walk in for some time. We talked to the gardener who seemed friendly and seems to need more help with this very large and beautiful garden. We stayed in the annex not in the manor itself. The room was a bit tired but very large with a good large bed with fresh linen, the mattress was too soft to my liking. The bathroom had a bath with no separate shower. There was a dark mould between the bathtub and the tiles which you wouldn’t expect in a good hotel. The breakfast was excellent with a choice between continental or hot English food, served by a very cheerful lady. So some of the experience was very good and other less to our liking. I hope the new management can improve the bathrooms and rooms then it will be a delightful hotel again.

We were celebrating a birthday with Afternoon Tea. Superb experience from start to finish. We were not hurried, as can be the case in some places. The food and tea/coffee was good quality, well prepared and plenty of it. You can retire to a comfortable seated area by the bar after eating, again nobody hurrying you along. The young waiting staff were a credit to the hotel - friendly, polite, attentive and professional. The hotel is an historic old building with well maintained grounds. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Baron Suite for dinner bed and breakfast. The suite was large and very comfortable with stunning views. The food was all delicious with the exception of overcooked haddock at breakfast, so we just chose differently and put it down to experience as the evening meals were of a very high standard. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The owner was around and very pleasant. Only one member of staff let the team down. We had a queen hornet in our room, and when my husband went down to reception to ask for someone to come and remove it his reply was "well your in the country now" and made no move to help, even though my husband explained I was disabled and couldn't move quickly. He was disinterested and just ignored my husband entirely. The receptionist looked very uncomfortable, so I assume he was superior to her. Luckily, the gardener stepped in and came and removed the hornet. So whoever that male member of staff was, he set a very bad example to the rest of the staff, and would do well to remember he works in hospitality. We live on a farm, so we are well versed in "living in the country." Other than that, we had a very good stay. The reception staff were very helpful with local information and the bar and restaurant staff were excellent.

We booked an afternoon tea, booking was easy and our dietary requirements were catered for. The staff and their service were excellent throughout our visit. We were early so took the opportunity to have a glass of Prosecco in the comfortable bar area. The drawing room where we had our afternoon tea was delightful, very country house. The table was beautifully set with lovely china and white linen. The afternoon tea itself was delicious, a great variety and balanced selection. Plenty too as we had to take some home with us. The scones were particularly yummy! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, would recommend and we will be going again.
