I stayed at this hotel and was very impressed by the experience. Spacious rooms which are nicely decorated. The staff were extremely polite and very welcoming. Was a short stay but very enjoyable. With the Wilfred’s and Bertram’s restaurants on the sight, you are not short of options for food. I didn’t get to visit the spa on this occasion but I’ve heard great reviews so I’m sure I will be back soon.

I've been coming to the woodland spa for 10 years and watched the hotel been built and what a credit it is to the whole area the staff are lovely the food is lovely although a little on the pricy side the new addition to the spa is really well done and a lovely addition to the spa will be returning very soon 😊

First of all, very friendly staff and some competent staff. But others, not so much. Reception check in was great and Tom at the bar made great cocktails. The room was basic but spotlessly clean. I’d say it was more basic than a premier inn room - nothing special and a view of the bins and car park at the back! I’ve left a separate review of the spa which isn’t worth it given the vast amount of rules in place and pretty abrupt staff, plus a computer says no approach to everything! Dinner in Bertram’s was lovely. Great quality and great service. That on its own is 5 stars for me. Breakfast in Wilfred’s was a shambles. They say it’s served to 10:30. We arrived at 10:10. We were seated at a nice table and told “there’s no cutlery so I’ll get some”. She didn’t. Instead as there were no staff around we had to go into a drawer to get it and set our own table. When we went to get hot food (by now 10:15) there were no fried or scrambled eggs, no hash browns, no black pudding. There was a queue. We were told that the shed was making more friend eggs but nothing else as it’d all take too long! The lady brought out 5 fried eggs for a queue of about 10 people. Two ladies complained and she made them a plate of scrambled eggs each but others were so lucky. There was no butter out, the “continental” selection had run out almost and juice was the cheapest quality concentrated stuff. Bacon was horrid and mostly congealed fat. For the price of this place you’d expect good local and quality produce not cheap as chips poor quality ingredients with poor service. We won’t return.

This is the 4th time we have visited the hotel and unfortunately the VERY last time as we have had issues every visit. The reception staff need replacing by real robots as the monosalabic characters who belittle pre paid customers and treat them like scum from the streets are nothing but an embarrassment to humanity. After a lovely day in the spa the greeting from the reception gestapo was nothing but an embarrassing drama. Reducing what should have been a relaxing anniversary weekend away into a stressful standoff resulting in us missing our evening meal. Andy Brown has done an amazing job of building up this facility from nothing and the new regime is killing it. Such a sad state of affairs.

This hotel is immaculate! and what’s more is very secure and the reception super efficient! The lady who checked me in was so kind and professional. I had also spoken to her on the phone beforehand. The staff are in smart uniforms and most presentable and the gentleman who is on the door directing guest and acting security. Room service ewe excellent and the chap who brought it again very clean and polite. It’s possible to take a good morning walk through the grounds on site. The lady who served my breakfast each day was lovel, she made the smoothies and was attentive to anything which guest needed to enjoy the service. My only negative is that the restaurant should have a fryer which is suitable for vegetarians! It’s very off putting that fish has been in the fryer and so prevents some of the vegetation items being true vegetation. I mean the taste of fish fat is very unpleasant to someone who doesn’t want rotting flesh taste. This should be easy to fix with a bit of common sense and an additional fryer. Other than this 5 stars and fully recommended. Thank you.

Crow Wood Hotel and Spa is a hidden gem in Burnley! The Woodland Spa is an experience in itself. It is clear to see why it has secured so many awards. On entering the hotel and spa you are greeted by a warm welcome by the professional and friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The best customer service I have experienced in a very long time. Staff are so attentive and want to ensure that you have having the best time. The room we stayed in was a twin room (217) - was very spacious, exceptionally clean and overlooked the rear of the property onto open fields. The bed was extremely comfortable. There are many restaurants - we had lunch at Bertrams and the most amazing pizza at the rooftop terrace bar, both at Woodland Spa and Dinner at Wilfred's (Crow's Wood). The food is divine. The Woodland Spa has many areas for you to relax - sauna, steam room, salt room, ice room, lounge area, bars, the list goes on. To be able to fit everything in, a two day stay is a must! Special shout out to Rudolf, who went out of his way to make our stay even more extra special. Well worth a return visit, again and again and again and again. :-)

Due to a wedding, we were limited on which rooms were available. As this break was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we booked a suite. Not cheap, but fantastic as a treat. The suite was superb, the staff fantastic from reception to breakfast to chambermaids. The hotel was luxurious. The food superb and the pool facilities excellent. We did not have time for a spa day, but others we spoke to said how great it was. We also ate at Bertrams, again staff first class and good great, to celebrate our anniversary. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Our 3rd visit to Crow Wood Hotel & Spa on an overnight hotel & spa package. The whole experience is absolutely amazing. Friendly & helpful staff, golf buggy transport to and from the spa to hotel. Excellent spa- the new renovations are stunning- truly the best spa we have ever visited. Fresh towel service, ultra clean, amazing spa treatments from very experienced- knowledgeable staff. The food in the spa from tapas to pizza is gorgeous and the cocktails 🍸 add to just a great experience of relaxation, self care & a bit of indulgence with friends/family enjoying time out from the daily hustle and bustle of life. The hotel accommodation is immaculate- very comfortable- well furnished and has everything you will require for a luxurious stay. The bar area & restaurants offer a friendly atmosphere and the hotel is set in wonderful grounds. It’s our treat of the year to ourselves. And we will be definitely back again next year!
