The forest around Burg is partly used by the forest museum. There are two forest-historical plantations and a rock garden with boulders from glacial pastures. At the street Am Papenknüll is a reclaimed heathland with Bronze Age burial mounds. It was recognized by the Ministry of the Environment Schleswig-Holstein as a nature experience space. North Sea / bathing beaches are approx. 18 km away.
