Tallawarra Homestead

Andrej and Janine go above and beyond to exceed expectations. The homestead is idyllic, a wonderful property surrounded by scenic farmland and bush, with ample opportunity to see Australian wildlife. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and offered afternoon tea, with delicious home made scones and fresh cream. The made to order breakfast was delicious. Behind the beautiful wooden bar is a fine selection of drinks for the connoisseur. In the luxurious room there is fruit, chocolate and port. The hosts pay attention to every detail and the decor is stunning. Plan to spend time in the magnificent sunroom for reading or board games. Leave your phone behind.

A late review but hopefully better late than never. The Tallawarra Homestead is simply the best. Three months travelling solo in Australia with a wide variety of accommodation, I booked this last minute after a very bad experience in an Airbnb. Driving up the lane to Tallawarra to a wonderful welcome from Andrey and Janine, all felt right with the world. Tallawarra is simply stunning. Set in impressive scenery, a taste for this traveller, of the real Australia. Beautiful, luxurious, sumptuous accommodation to a very high spec. Every want and need is catered for. There are so many highlights, the views, the history, the wonderful Coolgardie room, kangaroos & kookaburras, Janine’s breakfasts and afternoon teas, Andrey’s sense of humour, Janine’s lovely chats, the superb surroundings, the peace and feeling of serenity….so many things. What makes the Tallawarra Homestead perfect though are the hosts, Andrey and Janine. Two of the loveliest people I have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble. Tallawarra is the perfect spot to base yourself in to explore this picturesque part of Victoria . Andrey and Janine are on hand to give some excellent recommendations. I have travelled extensively as a solo traveller in Australia, and Tallawarra is the best accommodation I have stayed in, and Andrey and Janine are the perfect host. I only wish I could go back, hopefully one day. ( Andrey and Janine, if you are reading this, I’m so sorry for the late review. You made my holiday perfect. Firstly, id like to take this opportunity to thank Janine and Andrey for creating such an Amazing experience for my Husband and I. Firstly on our wedding night and then again to have a little time away from home and our crazy everyday life. Tallawarra Homestead is a little slice of heaven. Janine and Andrey were absolutely wonderful hosts, they greeted us upon arrival and were there to give us such a relaxing and pleasurable experience. Nothing was any trouble for either of them and they made sure that we never had to worry about a thing. From the hospitality, to the décor and its homely elegant atmosphere , to the beautiful and delicious home cooked Big Breakfast, the fresh juices and fresh coffee, to the complimentary chocolates, port, fruit and fresh flowers upon arrival. The Homestead was so much more than my husband and i could have imagined, we spent our nights by the warmth of the toasty wood fire, sipping away on our champagne, enjoying the peace and quiet. We also got to experience the Harmony Room....Absolutely Devine & Tranquil, the stresses seamed to disappear, surrounded by beautiful lighting, plants, low couches and the room smelt Amazing. A great place to unwind in private. The bed we stayed in was so comfortable! The linen was crisp and fresh, the bed was truly amazing and we didn't want to leave it. The shower was so hot and relaxing, along with the beautiful smelling soaps and body washes provided to us. The views of the Homestead are Devine, being greeted by beautiful Rosellas and the birds in the morning whilst sipping on coffee. Whilst on the decking, it blew our minds to see so many Kangaroos hopping past in the Neighboring paddocks. Andrey and Janine, if we could rate you 10 stars, we definitely would!! You were not only perfect hosts, but people we have become friends with. We will be forever grateful for all of the time and effort you both put into giving us such an unforgettable experience. Thankyou so much, we will definitely be visiting again.

This is truly a wonderful Australian Homestead. Janine and Andrey should feel very proud of themselves of the effort they have put into this property. There is nothing that can be improved on, they have thought of everything. As soon as you come off the main road you instantly feel the countryside of quietness, peace and nature. Our room was lovely, looking out of the front part of the house. Linen was beautiful, bed and pillows very good. There is an area out the front that you can sit and enjoy the outside fresh air etc. The big room out the back has been set up so couples or groups can have their own area to enjoy a drink, read or just be. Games are there for those who would like a challenge with their partner. Andrey made us a lovely cosy fire both nights. We enjoyed a sherry which was complimentary. Andrey does have a very healthy looking bar if you would like something else to drink. The decor of the property was exceptional. Beautifully decorated. Breakfast was enjoyable and there were good options of choice. If you are wanting an escape to somewhere very special, quiet, private and beautiful Tallawarra is for you. Last but not least the most important that Andrey and Janine are the nicest people, great to have a chat with and so welcoming to their home. Thank you both for a great stay.

This place is run by delightful, friendly couple who take pride in every detail. The decor and design are outstanding. This is a fantastic place to relax. Food and wine are excellent. I would highly recommend a stop here when travelling east of Melbourne.

This is the second time we have stayed here about 4 years apart. Each time the welcome from Janine and Andrey is so warm and friendly. Our daughter has also stayed here and has remarked at how memorable the stay was. A lovely very comfortable homestead with all the mod cons. Breakfast and afternoon tea are superb and the attention to comfort is magnificent. A very relaxing place due to its of the beaten track location and the quiet countryside. A great place to switch off and recharge (especially with the new meditation room). Will definitely be back.

Tallawarra is a beautiful Australian homestead. The hosts are wonderful and ensured that our stay was perfect. Our room and ensuite were well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and generous. The grounds are well maintained, and it's a very peaceful setting. We will be back for another weekend at Tallawarra.

We could not have enjoyed our stay more! Andrey and Janine made sure we didn’t lift a finger. The homestead is a modern day time capsule and amazingly appointed. We loved the little things like the books and antiques. This is a great place to spend as a couple to reconnect away from the kids. Andrey and Janine really know all the local to do things as well.
