We just spent a week in Buenos Aires and this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was terrific. The room was a bit small but still quite manageable. Bring slippers, as the tile floor in the room gets quite cold. I'd also recommend you bring a few coat hangars with you, the wire type you get from your dry cleaners that you don't mind leaving behind. There isn't a hairdryer in the room but you can get one from the front desk. You can also get an iron and ironing board from housekeeping if you need them. There is no U.S. type electrical outlet in the room but there is one European type. The included breakfast was adequate--pastries, cold cuts, dry cereal, cheese, coffee, tea, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. If you arrive early, the front desk will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. There are plenty of attractions within walking distance of the hotel, as well as excellent restaurants. Just a block away is a small, family-run place called Viejo Alsina that features excellent food at a very inexpensive price. The famous San Telmo Market is an easy half-,mile walk. For some reason Uber cannot pick you up or drop you off near the hotel. It's about a quarter-mile to the nearest pickup point. However, the car service (Talixo) we booked to and from the airport was allowed to pull up at the lobby door. That was $74 round trip. All in all, this hotel was perfect and the price was a bargain ($321 for the week). That may have been the winter rate, but winter is the best time to visit BA.

The location is very good. There is a hot pot restaurant next to it. It is located in the city center. It is very convenient to take a taxi there. However, because it was built around 1933, there is a bit of smell in the room.

This hotel is advertised on many websites as a 4 star hotel with very high satisfaction rate. But don’t be fooled by beautiful entrance. Once you get into the elevator everything disappears and you are welcomed into the rooms that resembles of a hostel. The rooms are terribly small. But that is not what is bad. The rooms are extremely dirty. Grime is everywhere: bathtub, faucet’s, toilets…Just look at the pictures! But here is where it gets worse. On my son’s duvet, there is an old blood stain. I had to put 3 boys in one bed even though we booked a triple room. My pillow case wasn’t changed. It was dirty and there was somebody else’s hair on it. I immediately went to the front desk to ask for a clean pillow case. And even though staff speaks very little English (or in some cases no English at all) this is a conversation we had using google translate: - Hi, there is a dirty pillowcase on my pillow. Can I please get a fresh one? - No, I am sorry, the housekeeping is finished for the day (it was midnight). - That’s fine, I can change it myself but can you please give me a clean pillowcase? - I am sorry I can’t leave the front desk I am by myself. You have to wait until tomorrow morning. - And how am I going to sleep on a dirty pillow? - I am sorry there is nothing I can do until tomorrow morning. He finally told me to wait for a second and he will see what he can do after I asked him if he would sleep on a dirty pillow if it was him. 15 mins later he took me to a linens’ room where there was no pillowcases. I took one clean sheet and said I would wrap the pillow with it. If you can please avoid this place at all costs. You’ll pay premium price $150/night for a hostel experience. Unfortunately we booked 2 rooms for 5 nights and they won’t refund us, even though we wanted to leave immediately after getting into the rooms. Rooms are advertised with balconies, this one has none. Just dirty windows. I can stomach lots of things but sleeping on a dirty bed and in a dirty room- I cannot.

The rooms are spacious and bright, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The location of the hotel is convenient, the Capitol and the Obelisk are all within walking distance. Breakfast is quite rich, but the lack of hot food is also the only deficiency. Pepito - Restaurant y Parrilla al Carbón, a rotisserie in the north of the hotel, is a traditional old restaurant with grilled rib-eye steaks that are tender and juicy, not expensive, and recommended. If you come to Buenos Aires next time, you will choose this hotel.

How a hostel should be run. One of the best I've ever stayed in, in 20 years of travelling. Curtains, charger, light and a lock box for every bed. Large lockers in the room. Rooms are super spacious. They have individual safety boxes with a password in the reception area and a camera watching them so you can leave valuables. Fastidiously clean. Cleaned multiple times a day. All sheets, curtains are super clean. Many large, private bathrooms around the hostel with free soap, shampoo, conditioner. Activities almost everyday ranging from empanada and mate making to tango lessons. A wide range of common areas: 2 large, clean well stocked kitchens, a quiet room, a work room, a garden. Free water dispensers. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff 24/7. Safe because you need to buzz in every time. Someone is there 24/7. Right next to Florida Calle for money changing. Closest subway is 2 minutes away. Lots of shops, restaurants super close by. Including a really great, affordable, vegetarian self service place and a really nice restaurant with great meat where you get a discount for being a hostel customer. I stayed there initially and went back after a trip to Patagonia. They let me leave my luggage while I was in Patagonia. Sorry for the long review but having travelled a lot and stayed in many hostels, I was really impressed with how this hostel was run. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. Thanks Che Juan Hostel.

I've been staying at Air B& B's since 2017, being La Habana; Cuba my first experience ever so Trip Advisor (finally) is great to see I can now review Air BB's and by the way just a ”constructive” criticism more ”categories” should be added: trains, airlines etc. (just saying). Here we go: As a native Argentinean I go home at least once a year to visit my family, obvioulsy 90 % of the time to & from Buenos Aires, not I'm not from B.A. (Buenos Aires) but I either fly to or from to continue my trip to my hometown. My last time there I stayed at Top Rentals Buenos Aires, my very first time using this company and I must say I was really impressed ! The property is located on Esmeralda Street so centrally located is within walking distance pretty much anywhere downtown, super safe, always be mindful of your surroundings like everywhere else and do please ( can't type all caps) but NO flashy jewelry or nothing fancy while on the streets. The check in process is located in one of the upper floors of the Building Complex, but upon arrival the security officer at the lobby will give you specific instructions where to go. Rooms are so spacious, clean, beautiful views of the area and a small balcony to sip your malbecs, with the River Plate on the background. The staff is super attentive, apartments comes with toiletries, towels, and utensils for cooking, but really ?? You are in The Paris of South America so who will want to cook ? I couldn’t use the pool too cold for me. I highly recommend it you won't regret it, so good this place is that with my luck!!! One of the South American Presidents (don't know whom) decided to stay in that same building at the time of my visit, no wonder why there were so many police and security so if this place is good enough for a president of country I'm guessing is good enough for us to!! (lol) You be the judge and please let me know. for more photos and details feel free to follow me at: @la_hormiguitaviajera on instagram. Please be safe ! The overall layout of the room is reasonable. Although the hotel is old, the overall maintenance is still relatively good. The location is quite superior. It is safe to play and eat near the door. The only bad thing is that the air conditioner in the room was broken at the time, and the air conditioner was running very noisy.
Hotel breakfast is also very rich, there is a 24-hour convenience store!
Very suitable for travel and vacation.

Start with the location. It's on a pedestrian mall (your cab can't get you to the door, but it's not a far walk from the drop off point, and there is parking nearby if you have a car). The included breakfast is very good and efficient. The rooms are large and comfortable. The down local is great, the pedestrian mall means it's quiet, and there are many nearby restaurants for some GREAT steak and wine. Very close to subway stop (don't be afraid, it's easy) and bus (cheap). And the money system sounds weird and scary, but it's not. If you take cash out of the ATM you get the official rate, which is pretty cruddy. But if you BRING U.S. dollars or Euro ($100 bills in excellent condition get the highest rate) you get about double the official rate, which means everything you buy in cash is ”half price.” You walk down the pedestrian mall (Florida Street, right outside the door of the hotel) and you'll have lots of people saying ”cambio, cambio, cambio” ... change, change, change. You nod and agree, they'll walk you to an office around the corner somewhere, and you'll get the ”blue market” rate, the ”double the government market rate” ... It's very safe, nobody is blowing their reputation to rip you off for a few hundred bucks. You can even pay the Howard Johnson in cash, and they hint at that, to get your hotel half price. This works. The only downside of this hotel is they only have 2 elevators (12 stories) and one was broken half the time, so it can take a while to get up and down. Overall, good experience.

Holiday inn is this standard. In order to catch the early flight on the next day, there is an airport shuttle. It is too early to go to breakfast time in the morning. The hotel has a small snack and coffee and other drinks on the table in the lobby. Use the pad to hungry.

Outstanding
GGuest UserFierro Hotel is a true gem! The location is good but we took a taxi nearly everywhere. There are lots of eateries all around this neighborhood though.
The people at the desk exceed themselves in giving the best service they can. We arrived mid-morning, and we only had to wait a few minutes before our 2 rooms were ready. We waited in their dining room where they served us their amazing breakfast that comes with the room.
We ate many of our meals here because the food is amazing, chef-prepared. The wines recommended by their in-house sommelier are delicious.
The rooms are big with a fridge stocked with champagne if desired. Also a separate wine fridge stocked with several wines.
The desk folks have great suggestions for things to do as well as calling a taxi, English-speaking if desired. We asked about a dinner show with tango. It did not disappoint! They made our reservations, we were picked up and taken to the venue and it was great!
We needed a late checkout and they allowed us to stay til 2 pm.
I can't guarantee that on busier days the same accommodations to time in and out can be given. But we can leave our luggage safely if needed, even use of the facilities of pool, dining and sauna were offered after checkout.
I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. The only negative thing was having to leave!
GGuest User 725 Continental Hotel is in a central position, short walk one way to Plaza de la Republica, with Obelisco, and a short walk the other way to Plaza de Mayo.A stop for the open top bus tours is on the other side of the street. Hailing a taxi is easy on the roadside but reception ordered a taxi without charge. The hotel has no car park, but there is paid-parking nearby. This art deco building is in a street of such buildings making for a scenic cityscape, both from the street and roof top terrace, where there is a bar and small pool. Sunset drinks were enjoyed on the roof. Room and ensuite was large and everywhere was clean. Reception directed us to 2 double rooms before finding the twin we had booked, which was an unwanted inconvenience after a long journey. There was a paid mini bar but no kettle in the room. View was across to the buildings the other side of the street. Air conditioning worked well. The lifts are slow and the wait was tiresome, but fortunately we could use the stairs from our room on a lower floor. Breakfast is served on the first floor, and there is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, which we did not use. There are tango shows and many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was adequate with omelettes cooked to order. Window tables have picturesque street views. Facilities give the five star rating, but 725 Continental Hotel is more comfortable than luxurious. Location and service on offer made it good value.
GGuest UserThe hotel is situated in the heart of town - so many fabulous restaurants, cafes and bars on its doorstep. Facilities are basic but the room was very clean and the breakfast more than adequate. The perfect hotel for creating a base in the heart of Buenos Aires. The real plus we’re the excellent staff who were on hand and eager to assist with everything. Very knowledgable helpful and kind - special mention to Danny, Sarah and Gabriel who were excellent, all three went above and beyond, so a huge thanks to the three of you - you made us so very welcome. Nos veremos de nuevo muy pronto

My first time to Argentina and my first hotel here could not have been better. Super super clean, well stocked (working hair dryer, microwave, cold fridge, HOT water, great A/C, comfy bed, lots of shelves and closet space) and super safe. The door into the hotel is locked and appears to be manned all the time. Large closet, lots of shelves, drawers & cabinets, and all the outlets work. It seems to be a mostly housing community with lots of small shops at the street level. I had one of the lower priced rooms and it still had a balcony. It was fun watching all the street life... There are so many trees... many parks close by... and this area seems super dog friendly. I am staying here again at the end of my trip to Patagonia. The staff are very responsive, and their English is definitely WAY better than my Spanish, so it is easy to communicate. I am not a bar-goer, so staying in a big chain-type hotel is not my style. When the sliding door is shut the street noise is not very loud, and at night very quiet. But being in a city, it's exactly what I suspected. One can hear a little bit of noise in the hallway, but only when the staff are cleaning in the early afternoon -- no more so than hotels in which I've stayed in the USA, however. I have heard no partying or loud guests. Taking a cab to downtown Buenos Aires was easy, and it seemed pretty close by. There are so many restaurants, cafes and shopping for necessities within a stone's throw that I was very happy here. :)
GGuest UserWe stayed for 1 night around 2 weeks ago before our cruise. We were pleasantly surprised how nice it was and the front desk host, Daniel, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived at the hotel late morning after a long flight from the US. We were relieved that our room was ready. We were starving and Daniel recommended a restaurant near the hotel that was excellent and affordable. Our room was on the top floor with a great view of the plaza. It was in a great location and we walked all over and saw landmarks like the Obelisk and Teatro Colon. The room was comfortable and had a mini fridge and sofa. The breakfast was very good. Highly recommend this hotel and it was very good value.
For this price, the hotel is very good. It is clean, maybe needs some renovation. Staff is friendly, but some were a little bit short of knowledge of English. Breakfast could have more choises. The best thing about the hotel was its location. Everything is near, and if not, then subway is near.
An excellent location close to Av Florida in the centre of town and walking distance to the Buquebus Ferry Terminal for a trip to Uruguay. The bed and room is very comfortable and breakfast is good. The staff were all courteous and friendly. We stayed here for 2 nights then a week in Uruguay before returning for 2 more nights. We left some of our luggage here for a week with no charge. On our second visit our room fronted the street which gave a view of the street performance on the intersection of Lavalle & Florida. We would certainly stay at this very reasonably priced hotel again.
SshawndaikiLocation, location, location.
Excellent Punto cafe across the road, a Western Union branch round the corner, police station 2-3 blocks down, lotsa grocery stores around you, walking distance to San Telmo market, location is Babel Studio’s greatest advantage.
The other thing about location would be Argentinian late night party culture, you may not get a good nights sleep.
Clean and spacious room, reliable AC, hot water and pressure, it ticks the boxes for what one would expect in a stay. The only improvement I would hope for is to adjust the shower head holder, I’m 6 ft and can reach it comfortably but for someone shorter it might be a stretch.
Also the monochrome design is modern and attractive but the white lighting makes the room feel harsh on the eyes. Warm lighting would do wonders for the space.
We did not have a smooth check in experience and was stranded outside for 15 min until another guest let us in as they were leaving. Would be good to receive check in info prior to the stay as the reception is not manned round the clock.
Overall a pleasant stay and highly recommend.
GGuest UserIt is a great hotel located in one of the best and most beautiful areas of CABA (and the subterrence is very close) and is quite soundproofed. It is a very large and comfortable hotel. Breakfast is complimentary. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. We couldn't use the ticket because it was empty the days we went.
