Hotel stopped in time. It can be seen that it has already lived through its glory days, but it is far from the luxury hotels of today. It is very well located, rooms are spacious, but very old. Rooftop is very good, I recommend it. Good breakfast, but nothing exceptional. Overall, for a luxury class hotel, there are many better ones in the city. I wouldn't stay there again.

We arrived and were attended to promptly and cordially. The quality of the food (at dinner, in the bar at night, and at breakfast), and the service from the waiters, were excellent. Clean and cozy room. I have no criticisms to make.

This hotel is one of BA's most luxurious and is in a prime location. You can visit the cemetery on foot, and just across the road is Hermes. The overall style is really palace-style, very retro and beautiful, and it is much better than some of the hotels I stayed in in NYC that are both beautiful and shabby. The service is quite satisfactory, which can only be said to be what a hotel at this price should have. I stayed here for five nights in total. It brought me so many memories when I first arrived and when I was about to leave🥺Will be back for sure

I was, in the past a great client- the property is run down- the elegance and service is now of a 3 star hotel- very disappointed! Will not return!

I loved the hotel, staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Our flight arrived at 8:30 am and we received an early check in without even asking. And again allowed a late checkout. While BA can be unsafe I never felt that in the Recoleta neighborhood. I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Alvear twice on my recent trip, the first time for 3 nights and then for 1 night. I stayed in a suite and a junior suite and everything about my stay was fabulous. The service is wonderful, the concierge gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The breakfast area is absolutely beautiful, one of the nicest I have had at a hotel. The rooms have the charm of an old grand hotel whilst being in excellent condition, clean, spacious and well appointed tech-wise. The rooftop bar is a must for a pre dinner cocktail. The location of the hotel is within easy reach of Palermo by car, Teatro Colon, san telmo etc etc I cannot wait to go back!!

There is only ONE Alvear, and it remains unmatched, no matter how hard others try. Classy, exclusive, excellent service, premuim location. Alvear is the real thing!!!

Such a beautiful property with so much history to it and lots of charm, it’s like visiting the plaza hotel in New York but better!
