The hotel is a good location for exploring and good for just a couple of nights. When we arrived we had no help with our luggage, just be prepared. The breakfast is ok, selection of pastries, cereal, eggs etc. However that is where the ‘ok’ food ends. We ate at the bar on our first evening as we arrived late, the Empanadas & chicken wok oriental dishes were absolutely tasteless. The Hot bead and pickle accompaniment were the only best bit. We then sat for 1 hour with empty dishes in-front of us which we ended up moving ourselves to another table whilst finishing drinks. One really big peeve was no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. We ordered 2 teas and were charged £8!!! No water is provided in the room either. We saw many guests bringing bottles of water in from the shop at the corner. Thats really poor and not acceptable. Felt like cutting corners. Nice lobby, rooms ok, although we were a bit surprised to see the window next to the Shower was not opaque so the room above could see in (see picture), comfy bed. The hotel stored our luggage for 2 nights whilst we visited Iguazu Falls which was great. An ok base for the money.

Terrific property, service and amenities. Suites are lovely, so is The Club Floor. Breakfast room downstairs is fulsome and the space tranquil. Can’t beat the service from Concierges Christian and Pablo, Butler Nelson (supremely professional guys who have worked there for years/decades) the bellman and housekeeping teams also are fantastic. Twice over the course of seven nights I had an small problem in my room and the maintenance team was there in 10-15 minutes to quickly rectify. Having first visited about 20 years ago and returned several times, this property continues to be very well managed and operated. Kudos to the GM and the entire Intercon BA team. As an aside, two extraordinary evenings spent dining (again) at Don Julio and at Aramburu (recommended by Christian)

We just spent a week in Buenos Aires and this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was terrific. The room was a bit small but still quite manageable. Bring slippers, as the tile floor in the room gets quite cold. I'd also recommend you bring a few coat hangars with you, the wire type you get from your dry cleaners that you don't mind leaving behind. There isn't a hairdryer in the room but you can get one from the front desk. You can also get an iron and ironing board from housekeeping if you need them. There is no U.S. type electrical outlet in the room but there is one European type. The included breakfast was adequate--pastries, cold cuts, dry cereal, cheese, coffee, tea, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. If you arrive early, the front desk will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. There are plenty of attractions within walking distance of the hotel, as well as excellent restaurants. Just a block away is a small, family-run place called Viejo Alsina that features excellent food at a very inexpensive price. The famous San Telmo Market is an easy half-,mile walk. For some reason Uber cannot pick you up or drop you off near the hotel. It's about a quarter-mile to the nearest pickup point. However, the car service (Talixo) we booked to and from the airport was allowed to pull up at the lobby door. That was $74 round trip. All in all, this hotel was perfect and the price was a bargain ($321 for the week). That may have been the winter rate, but winter is the best time to visit BA.

All many positive aspects - modernness, location, flair, service, etc. - and negative ones - tiredness of some furniture, no international plugs or bottle of water upon arrival, repetitive breakfast with one juice only, etc. - have been detailed over and over in my many reviews here. The suite on the 12th floor is most elegant and cosy, but too bad the architect didn't consider a small balcony there. Oh, please fix the connecting door, it doesn't slide through. I look forward to returning somewhere I am genuinely smiled at and where people call me by first name, given the 'intimacy' developed in so many visits. Again, can I call it my home in BsAs?? I think so! PS. When is the excellent sauna getting fixed?

725 Continental Hotel is in a central position, short walk one way to Plaza de la Republica, with Obelisco, and a short walk the other way to Plaza de Mayo.A stop for the open top bus tours is on the other side of the street. Hailing a taxi is easy on the roadside but reception ordered a taxi without charge. The hotel has no car park, but there is paid-parking nearby. This art deco building is in a street of such buildings making for a scenic cityscape, both from the street and roof top terrace, where there is a bar and small pool. Sunset drinks were enjoyed on the roof. Room and ensuite was large and everywhere was clean. Reception directed us to 2 double rooms before finding the twin we had booked, which was an unwanted inconvenience after a long journey. There was a paid mini bar but no kettle in the room. View was across to the buildings the other side of the street. Air conditioning worked well. The lifts are slow and the wait was tiresome, but fortunately we could use the stairs from our room on a lower floor. Breakfast is served on the first floor, and there is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, which we did not use. There are tango shows and many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was adequate with omelettes cooked to order. Window tables have picturesque street views. Facilities give the five star rating, but 725 Continental Hotel is more comfortable than luxurious. Location and service on offer made it good value.

This is a fantastic hotel ! Location , Quality of Rooms , Breakfast but above all else it's the Staff , at Reception, in the Dining Room and the people who clean and service the rooms ...all without exception ...superb. Friendly , efficient , eager to assist with all requests and always with a smile! They have made our holiday in Buenos Aires a great one and congratulations to NH Hotels for their staff selection and training processes. It's a winner and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Buenos Aires. After coming off from a long haul flight of 16+ hours, I needed to decompress… I had to get rid of my puffiness before headed to see my clients! no one wants to be distracted by a puffer fish- Look while chatting! Valentina at the front desk was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and emphatic … she knew exactly what service to recommend and which theraphist would suit my (let’s get this lady unpuffed -needs) I was paired with Maria who was fantastic, I had the Fire & Ice 90 min service (hot stone body massage and cooler lymphatic drainage facial) which helps with circulation, jet lag and fluid congestion from being so many hours on a flight. My body and skin felt amazing for the entire length of my trip and I have to give credit to Maria’s extensive knowledge on draining fluid naturally out of your body via massage! Thank you ladies for going above and beyond to care for your guest! GRACIAS! The Space: Clean, welcoming and modern pool Sauna no wet steam room …

GGuest User How a hostel should be run. One of the best I've ever stayed in, in 20 years of travelling. Curtains, charger, light and a lock box for every bed. Large lockers in the room. Rooms are super spacious. They have individual safety boxes with a password in the reception area and a camera watching them so you can leave valuables. Fastidiously clean. Cleaned multiple times a day. All sheets, curtains are super clean. Many large, private bathrooms around the hostel with free soap, shampoo, conditioner. Activities almost everyday ranging from empanada and mate making to tango lessons. A wide range of common areas: 2 large, clean well stocked kitchens, a quiet room, a work room, a garden. Free water dispensers. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff 24/7. Safe because you need to buzz in every time. Someone is there 24/7. Right next to Florida Calle for money changing. Closest subway is 2 minutes away. Lots of shops, restaurants super close by. Including a really great, affordable, vegetarian self service place and a really nice restaurant with great meat where you get a discount for being a hostel customer. I stayed there initially and went back after a trip to Patagonia. They let me leave my luggage while I was in Patagonia. Sorry for the long review but having travelled a lot and stayed in many hostels, I was really impressed with how this hostel was run. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. GGuest UserFierro Hotel is a true gem! The location is good but we took a taxi nearly everywhere. There are lots of eateries all around this neighborhood though.
The people at the desk exceed themselves in giving the best service they can. We arrived mid-morning, and we only had to wait a few minutes before our 2 rooms were ready. We waited in their dining room where they served us their amazing breakfast that comes with the room.
We ate many of our meals here because the food is amazing, chef-prepared. The wines recommended by their in-house sommelier are delicious.
The rooms are big with a fridge stocked with champagne if desired. Also a separate wine fridge stocked with several wines.
The desk folks have great suggestions for things to do as well as calling a taxi, English-speaking if desired. We asked about a dinner show with tango. It did not disappoint! They made our reservations, we were picked up and taken to the venue and it was great!
We needed a late checkout and they allowed us to stay til 2 pm.
I can't guarantee that on busier days the same accommodations to time in and out can be given. But we can leave our luggage safely if needed, even use of the facilities of pool, dining and sauna were offered after checkout.
I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. The only negative thing was having to leave!

Facilities are basic but the room was very clean and the breakfast more than adequate. The perfect hotel for creating a base in the heart of Buenos Aires. The real plus we’re the excellent staff who were on hand and eager to assist with everything. Very knowledgable helpful and kind - special mention to Danny, Sarah and Gabriel who were excellent, all three went above and beyond, so a huge thanks to the three of you - you made us so very welcome. Nos veremos de nuevo muy pronto

My first time to Argentina and my first hotel here could not have been better. Super super clean, well stocked (working hair dryer, microwave, cold fridge, HOT water, great A/C, comfy bed, lots of shelves and closet space) and super safe. The door into the hotel is locked and appears to be manned all the time. Large closet, lots of shelves, drawers & cabinets, and all the outlets work. It seems to be a mostly housing community with lots of small shops at the street level. I had one of the lower priced rooms and it still had a balcony. It was fun watching all the street life... There are so many trees... many parks close by... and this area seems super dog friendly. I am staying here again at the end of my trip to Patagonia. The staff are very responsive, and their English is definitely WAY better than my Spanish, so it is easy to communicate. I am not a bar-goer, so staying in a big chain-type hotel is not my style. When the sliding door is shut the street noise is not very loud, and at night very quiet. But being in a city, it's exactly what I suspected. One can hear a little bit of noise in the hallway, but only when the staff are cleaning in the early afternoon -- no more so than hotels in which I've stayed in the USA, however. I have heard no partying or loud guests. Taking a cab to downtown Buenos Aires was easy, and it seemed pretty close by. There are so many restaurants, cafes and shopping for necessities within a stone's throw that I was very happy here. :)

GGuest UserWe stayed for 1 night around 2 weeks ago before our cruise. We were pleasantly surprised how nice it was and the front desk host, Daniel, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived at the hotel late morning after a long flight from the US. We were relieved that our room was ready. We were starving and Daniel recommended a restaurant near the hotel that was excellent and affordable. Our room was on the top floor with a great view of the plaza. It was in a great location and we walked all over and saw landmarks like the Obelisk and Teatro Colon. The room was comfortable and had a mini fridge and sofa. The breakfast was very good. Highly recommend this hotel and it was very good value.

For this price, the hotel is very good. It is clean, maybe needs some renovation. Staff is friendly, but some were a little bit short of knowledge of English. Breakfast could have more choises. The best thing about the hotel was its location. Everything is near, and if not, then subway is near.

Very Good
An excellent location close to Av Florida in the centre of town and walking distance to the Buquebus Ferry Terminal for a trip to Uruguay. The bed and room is very comfortable and breakfast is good. The staff were all courteous and friendly. We stayed here for 2 nights then a week in Uruguay before returning for 2 more nights. We left some of our luggage here for a week with no charge. On our second visit our room fronted the street which gave a view of the street performance on the intersection of Lavalle & Florida. We would certainly stay at this very reasonably priced hotel again.

Excellent Punto cafe across the road, a Western Union branch round the corner, police station 2-3 blocks down, lotsa grocery stores around you, walking distance to San Telmo market, location is Babel Studio’s greatest advantage.
The other thing about location would be Argentinian late night party culture, you may not get a good nights sleep.
Clean and spacious room, reliable AC, hot water and pressure, it ticks the boxes for what one would expect in a stay. The only improvement I would hope for is to adjust the shower head holder, I’m 6 ft and can reach it comfortably but for someone shorter it might be a stretch.
Also the monochrome design is modern and attractive but the white lighting makes the room feel harsh on the eyes. Warm lighting would do wonders for the space.
We did not have a smooth check in experience and was stranded outside for 15 min until another guest let us in as they were leaving. Would be good to receive check in info prior to the stay as the reception is not manned round the clock.
Overall a pleasant stay and highly recommend.

GGuest UserIt is a great hotel located in one of the best and most beautiful areas of CABA (and the subterrence is very close) and is quite soundproofed. It is a very large and comfortable hotel. Breakfast is complimentary. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. We couldn't use the ticket because it was empty the days we went.

HHector ErnanyThe hotel is excellent. However, when we inserted the card to turn on the light…the power went out, but a technician went and fixed it. Other than that, the staff are great and serve an excellent breakfast.
