Hotels Near Convento Santo Domingo in Buenos Aires

The staff are friendly enough. We were very disappointed when we asked for more bathroom tissue. We had just returned from an evening out and noticed that when the room was made up, bathroom tissue was not replaced and we were running out of tissue. We called down to the front desk to ask for two roles of tissue and were told that we were only allowed one role per day (we had not been given any tissue that day). I met the staff member at the elevator where I was given a role that was half the size of a full role. So the daily allotment of bathroom tissue is ½ a role per day for two people? If we had been given a full role of tissue when they made up the room in the morning, we would not have needed to request more. Unfortunately, no amount of smiling staff can make up for the petty hording of bathroom tissue. We had two rooms at this hotel and have had two rooms here previously so this was not the first time staying at this hotel, but it will be the last.

725 Continental Hotel is in a central position, short walk one way to Plaza de la Republica, with Obelisco, and a short walk the other way to Plaza de Mayo.A stop for the open top bus tours is on the other side of the street. Hailing a taxi is easy on the roadside but reception ordered a taxi without charge. The hotel has no car park, but there is paid-parking nearby. This art deco building is in a street of such buildings making for a scenic cityscape, both from the street and roof top terrace, where there is a bar and small pool. Sunset drinks were enjoyed on the roof. Room and ensuite was large and everywhere was clean. Reception directed us to 2 double rooms before finding the twin we had booked, which was an unwanted inconvenience after a long journey. There was a paid mini bar but no kettle in the room. View was across to the buildings the other side of the street. Air conditioning worked well. The lifts are slow and the wait was tiresome, but fortunately we could use the stairs from our room on a lower floor. Breakfast is served on the first floor, and there is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, which we did not use. There are tango shows and many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was adequate with omelettes cooked to order. Window tables have picturesque street views. Facilities give the five star rating, but 725 Continental Hotel is more comfortable than luxurious. Location and service on offer made it good value.

How a hostel should be run. One of the best I've ever stayed in, in 20 years of travelling. Curtains, charger, light and a lock box for every bed. Large lockers in the room. Rooms are super spacious. They have individual safety boxes with a password in the reception area and a camera watching them so you can leave valuables. Fastidiously clean. Cleaned multiple times a day. All sheets, curtains are super clean. Many large, private bathrooms around the hostel with free soap, shampoo, conditioner. Activities almost everyday ranging from empanada and mate making to tango lessons. A wide range of common areas: 2 large, clean well stocked kitchens, a quiet room, a work room, a garden. Free water dispensers. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff 24/7. Safe because you need to buzz in every time. Someone is there 24/7. Right next to Florida Calle for money changing. Closest subway is 2 minutes away. Lots of shops, restaurants super close by. Including a really great, affordable, vegetarian self service place and a really nice restaurant with great meat where you get a discount for being a hostel customer. I stayed there initially and went back after a trip to Patagonia. They let me leave my luggage while I was in Patagonia. Sorry for the long review but having travelled a lot and stayed in many hostels, I was really impressed with how this hostel was run. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. Habiéndome hospedado en Ibis Congreso antes de la pandemia, veo que ha decaído ya que ha perdido algunas de sus rasgos que son importantes para el viajero de negocios como asimismo para el turista nacional y extranjero. Una pérdida muy importante es que no ofrecen ninguna computadora de escritorio siendo que hasta la pandemia habian 2. Es algo que deben restablecer y se lo hice saber a la SubGerenta, quien tuvo una actitud desafiante al respecto. Otra depreciación es que no están ofreciendo el diario de papel como lo hacán en la prepandemia, me parece una excusa pésima sostener que pude contagiar covid.... La SubGerenta sostiene que ambos empeoramientos son parte de la pol{itica de IBis en la región, sin embargo, y tal se lo refuté, en países como Brasil siguen brindando ejemplares de los periódicos en papel y hay PCs en el lobby oen un Internet corner. Lo que sigue siendo de alta calidad es el desayuno, con mucha variedad. El servicio de bar también positivo.

This Novotel is located on the most prosperous street near the Jianfangbei. It is crowded in the morning and evening, and there are many restaurants nearby to visit attractions. This is the biggest advantage. The breakfast environment is good (see Taihua 🌸). However, the software is very general. First of all, check in and check out are super slow. There is always a person working, and the average stay or leave for at least ten minutes. The second room is very old and has an old taste. There are many small moths in my room, at least seven or eight flying around.

Recently renovated hotel, it has large and very comfortable rooms. The structure of the hotel is old, but the rooms are 100% renovated and for the price per night, it's worth it. Location is good, within walking distance you are close to all the tourist attractions. Many cafes and restaurants nearby. The inconvenience is that the hotel does not have breakfast, it only offers a free coffee machine.

I've been staying at Air B& B's since 2017, being La Habana; Cuba my first experience ever so Trip Advisor (finally) is great to see I can now review Air BB's and by the way just a ”constructive” criticism more ”categories” should be added: trains, airlines etc. (just saying). Here we go: As a native Argentinean I go home at least once a year to visit my family, obvioulsy 90 % of the time to & from Buenos Aires, not I'm not from B.A. (Buenos Aires) but I either fly to or from to continue my trip to my hometown. My last time there I stayed at Top Rentals Buenos Aires, my very first time using this company and I must say I was really impressed ! The property is located on Esmeralda Street so centrally located is within walking distance pretty much anywhere downtown, super safe, always be mindful of your surroundings like everywhere else and do please ( can't type all caps) but NO flashy jewelry or nothing fancy while on the streets. The check in process is located in one of the upper floors of the Building Complex, but upon arrival the security officer at the lobby will give you specific instructions where to go. Rooms are so spacious, clean, beautiful views of the area and a small balcony to sip your malbecs, with the River Plate on the background. The staff is super attentive, apartments comes with toiletries, towels, and utensils for cooking, but really ?? You are in The Paris of South America so who will want to cook ? I couldn’t use the pool too cold for me. I highly recommend it you won't regret it, so good this place is that with my luck!!! One of the South American Presidents (don't know whom) decided to stay in that same building at the time of my visit, no wonder why there were so many police and security so if this place is good enough for a president of country I'm guessing is good enough for us to!! Incredible attention from the staff! From prior contact before arriving and during your stay. Every day they ask if you need anything... They guide you without hesitation to reach any destination you want to visit. The warmth and predisposition. Featured. The impeccable apartment!!!! I come back! No doubts!
