The Proprietors were absolutely fantastic. They always had smiles on their face and could not do enough for us. The dining room was so bright and comfortable. Our room was clean, fresh and the amenities were fine. Would definitely go back there

The b&b has a stunning view across the Otter Valley from the back bedrooms, and Brian was a very friendly host. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and the free parking in front of the building was welcome. Pack an eye mask if visiting in summer, as the curtains aren’t very thick, but it’s a very quiet place. The shower takes a while to warm up but persist as it does get there after a few minutes! Overall a lovely place from which to explore the area (including the beavers on the Otter which we were lucky enough to see).

We have just got back from a fantastic few days away at The Long Range. We have stayed at many B&Bs over the years, but this is by far the best. A very warm welcome on our arrival, a friendly greeting every morning at breakfast, which was excellent and cooked to perfection, and a lovely chat in the evenings whilst enjoying the beautiful garden. Brian and Lorraine were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the room tastefully decorated, lovely and clean. We will most definitely be back again

Very comfortable stay at this lovely hotel. Room was spotlessly clean and nothing seemed too much trouble. It is obvious that Brian and Lorraine the hosts work very hard for their guests. No evening meal but there are a lot of restaurants within easy walking distance. I stay in a lot of hotels and this is one of the best. I will certainly stay here again when next in the area.

Stayed here for my mum’s 80th. Brian, the proprietor, was the perfect host and made us all feel very welcome. We were all so touched with the little extra surprises that he delivered on the day of my mum’s birthday. Overall one of the best BnBs I’ve ever stayed in.

Comfortable and friendly. Brian, the owner was keen to ensure that we had a good stay. He had good advice on the area and made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts excellent. I can't fault it.

Great position 10-15mins beach front walk from the town centre and few minutes from local bus stop (cheap and frequent). Wonderful views of the nearby coastal cliffs. Rarely found single rooms recently decorated with lovely views or patio door onto private patio. Very helpful owner! Lots of space with large garden, sun patio where you can have breakfast also conservatory and tv lounge. Loved the proper fresh fruit at breakfast with melon and raspberries.

My wife & I were very impressed when we enjoyed a short break here last September so we returned for a week this May. My wife required level access and our room was ideal for her needs as well as spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed having our own terrace where we could sit and enjoy the sun. The only addition we would have liked was a small fridge in which to keep milk etc. As always, Brian & Lorraine were exceptionally welcoming and made us feel completely at home. Sitting in the sunny dining room, the breakfast was first class and very plentiful. We enjoyed the Devon Rarebit and also the fresh fruit and delicious yoghurt. The hotel is spotlessly clean and we would be happy to book again as this is a lovely part of Devon and we also enjoyed Marco's Italian Restaurant in Budleighfor some evening meals.

Brian was so friendly and welcoming. Rooms were extremely clean. Breakfast was made from very tasty local produce. A perfect location, just a short walk to the sea and town. Can't fault it in any way.
