Positive experience at the Danubius Astoria. The charm of its 4 stars is noticeable once you cross the threshold, thanks to the empire furnishings and the beautiful marbles well matched with the wood finishes. Always helpful staff, excellent breakfast and new and functional rooms, nothing is missing. Definitely an excellent quality-price ratio.

Every time I come to Budapest, I will choose to stay in this hotel. Here are a few reasons: ①Good location: very close to the city center, it is relatively convenient to walk to the White Bridge and the Freedom Bridge, and there are relatively many supporting restaurant options around🍴 ②New hotel: The room is fully equipped with facilities and the space is not cramped. Most of the bathrooms in German hotels are equipped with drying racks, which are very friendly for washing and drying clothes in winter😉 ③Good breakfast: The hotel has quite a few breakfast options. One time when I was catching a flight in the early morning, the things in the take-away breakfast bag prepared by the hotel were extremely delicious, and there were also drinks (after all, buying water in Europe is not cheap😂) To sum up, this hotel can be regarded as a cost-effective choice!

When we came to Budapest, a friend picked us up at the hotel. We followed the navigation and turned around for several circles before we found it. In fact, the location is quite good. There is a parking space at the door, so we can stop for a while to take our luggage. The hotel lobby feels very retro. It takes 4 minutes to walk to the subway station. There is a supermarket next to the subway station. It is very close to the Danube River. It is no problem to walk to the Central Market. We didn't get over the jet lag on the first day, and woke up at 4 am (actually it was 11 noon in China, 7 hours later). So, we walked out at 6 am, went to the subway station to buy a one-day transportation ticket, and then went to the Central Market for a walk. It is recommended not to go too early, because many shops are not open. I only bought bread at the AlDI supermarket in the basement for breakfast. A renovated old hotel with a beautiful lobby and slightly inferior room decoration. The mattresses are comfortable and the street is not noisy. Some doormen are chatting and ignoring guests when they open the door. The service needs to be improved.

The hotel is in a very good location, right next to the St. István Church, surrounded by restaurants and cafes. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the Chain Bridge, and about 20 minutes to walk to the Fisherman's Bastion and the Parliament Building.
