H2 Hotel Budapest

Hotel is close to Cafe Kor which has great food. It is a 5-minute walk away from St. Stephan’s Cathedral and a 15-minte walk from the House of Parliament. Breakfast was good and the rooms were clean. We would stay there again. It also provides paid parking. Great value for money.

A great stay. The transportation is very convenient. Supermarkets and subway stations are very close. The room rate is good value for money, the room is spacious and clean. The double bed is big, but the bedding is small. I used two 90cm wide beddings. The front desk staff is very friendly. The breakfast staff is attentive. They did not chase me away when they were done cleaning, and let me continue to finish breakfast. They did not think that I was hindering their work.

The hotel was well positioned close to St Stephen’s Basilica, with all local amenities on the doorstep including a Lidl supermarket around the corner, plus restaurants and bars in short walking distance. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were basic and even double beds were actually two single beds together but reasonably comfortable, the rooms were also pretty compact with an open plan bathroom with a curtain. For our weekend away it was fine and for me personally I got it at a reduced price booking last minute but others paid a lot more, so for similar price I would personally prefer some of the 4 star hotels located closed by. The breakfast was included which is a bonus, and had a selection of hot/cold food/drinks, served until 10.30am, and you can order a packed breakfast, it was basic but something for everyone. Also there is scaffolding outside of the hotel, so may not be as easy to see the name for when you first arrive.

Location is very good. They do not provide anything else additional, everything is with extra charge. No kettle, no fridge, no slippers or dental kit. You have to pay a deposit. Breakfast was good.

They did not return our deposit.. they said it will be return back to the account that we use after 3-5 days but its alreay 3 weeks and nothing comes back to my account.. don't know how to reach them because im in other continent now..

Nice modern hotel in the heart of the city with easy access to lots of places. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. No safe or side tables though and no tea or coffee making facilities but the breakfast included was very good with lots to choose from.
