Hotels Near Széchenyi Chain Bridge in Budapest

Outstanding Gold Standard Hotel. We stayed five nights in the hotel, and from the time we arrived, we enjoyed the most outstanding professional and welcoming hospitality of the hotel staff. To our suprise, most of the staff communicated well in English and were always welcoming, professional, and friendly. The superior studio provided a spectacular view of the Danube River and the majestic Chain Bridge. The view of the city was absolutely magnificent, especially at night time. Everything in the room was of high standard, and having stayed at many hotels around the world, we could say without hesitation that the soundproofing in the room was Gold Standard. For the first time, we were not disturbed by any external noise from the hotel or from traffic noise from outside the hoìtel. This made our stay enjoyable and memorable. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone in the hotel for making our stay in Budapest spectacular!

There is a balcony with a good view. The room is small, the facilities are old, and the room has a smell. The location is between Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle, both within walking distance.

This is a well-established five-star hotel. The rooms are old, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good and you can enjoy it slowly. Most of the guests are retired elderly people. The best thing is that the hotel is in a great location. The scenery outside the window of the river view room is as beautiful as a postcard.

A fantastically clean and very well located hotel. Right in the centre of town and has just enough to provide a comfortable stay. However, the 8:30am knocks from housekeeping are very annoying and a fridge is something management should consider - as there is room for one. Breakfast pastries and coffee were great, but hot items lacking and need improvement.

This is a nice 4 star hotel overlooking the Danube on the Budapest side of the river. Superior rooms are at the front of the hotel, which is the newer part. You have a choice of River View or Castle view, River view is better and attracts a supplement. Our reservation through Trip mentioned Castle view and River view, but you cannot have both! Breakfast is a good choice of hot and cold food, nice coffee and cakes. Rooms are well equipped, clean and serviced daily. Good hot water. Bathrooms have a bath with over bath shower. Toiletries are provided. Towels changed daily. Rooms have safes, kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. The TV was a Cable TV and had a variety of channels, one English, BBC. The hotel has a bar and restaurant and a gym. Staff are very helpful, we managed to check in early and upgrade our room to one with a River view. A good selection of nice restaurants are within 10 mins walk. The hotel is situated directly beneath the Castle, access by the steps or via the funicular which is 5 min walk along by the river, alternatively large buggy vehicles operate a hop on hop off shuttle service. We found that the Bolt taxi service (bit like Uber) is very good. We has a freelance taxi driver try to scam us by not using his meter, we refused to pay and invited him to call the police. Avoid freelance taxi drivers and make sure they use their meters. Bolt uses an app and was a lot cheaper than the price the hotel informed us if we used their taxi service. Budapest Marriott Hotel Hungary's location is one of the best and convenient for tourists, business people. Any view of this hotel is marvellous, either walking, jogging or driving is enjoyable. Taking photos neither Day or Night are wonderful! There're sight seeing areas anyone will have great moment. Of course, listening classical music while you are at Dan Nube river with blueish sky will get you a fantastic moment! Brilliant!

Very good, the lounge included in the reservation is very convenient for families with children. It is also great to run along the Danube in the morning in the center of the old town, and the breakfast is also rich.

The hotel locates at a very excellent location. Many main attraction points around it. The restaurant for breakfast buffet has a very good view. ALL the staff of the front desk is very helpful and nice. I arrive on the morning and they help to check the availability of the room. They allow the customer to have early check in early when the availability of the room is OK. Everything of the hotel is good. I recommend other people to stay at this hotel when they come to Budapest. I will stay again in Hilton Budapest when I visit there again.

Great stay, cheap, clean, helpful staff, and conveniently located in an area with lots of cool bars and restaurants. Shared dorm beds are decent, just need some curtains, note: place gets really hot in summer.

Always when staying in Budapest i will book this hotel, as is very convenient location near the train station. Happy with service and amenities.
