We just had 3 nights at The Mudgee Homestead Guesthouse, what amazing hosts Sean and Karen were. Our room was lovely and the dining and lounge rooms gorgeous, nothing was too much trouble. Afternoon tea with those amazing cakes sitting on the front balcony enjoying the view was special. We enjoyed being spoilt for breakfast each day with yummy local produce. Thank you so much for having us, highly recommend.

Our stay at Mudgee Homestead Guesthouse was fabulous from start to finish. The rooms are beautifully appointed. We had a corner balcony room with with sweeping views across the large property .... stunning sunsets. Karen and Sean are exceptional hosts and made our stay nothing short of amazing. Karen's cooked breakfasts were divine, added to that her homemade preserves and compotes. Karen serves afternoon tea with one of her amazing cakes or tarts every day... this is not to be missed and sitting on the balcony enjoying the view was amazing. There is a cosy lounge/ library with a fireplace and complimentary port. In the evening we all played pool and darts in there large entertainment room. We had a brilliant stay and can't wait to go back. Huge thank you to Karen and Sean for such a warm welcome and a brilliant stay xx

What a spot for a lovely weekend away! The photos don’t do the property justice it is just magnificent. Karen and Sean were the most wonderful hosts and were so friendly and were very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast in the morning was superb and they even gave us a beautiful afternoon tea on the verandah on arrival. A must stay for sure :)

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Mudgee Homestead, located a short drive from the town centre, which was a highlight of our trip. There was eight in my party, travelling together for the first time, so I felt some anticipation not having stayed previously. Sometimes what you see is not always what you get, so I am very pleased to say that what you see on the website is exactly what you get… only BETTER!. From the minute we were greeted by Karen, (one of the owners), we knew we were in great hands. Karen is warm, classy, and welcoming, and makes you feel at home instantly, without feeling like you are staying in someone else’s house. The delicious breakfast selection on offer was different each day, freshly prepared, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. The meticulous detail of the table décor, and matching fresh flower arrangements did not go unnoticed, and afternoon tea was next level delicious. To explore the beautiful Mudgee region, (including cellar doors located within a few minutes’ drive), or to sit and relax in the private lounge or stunning veranda, is the most taxing decision you will need to make during your stay. The property has been very well thought out with the guests comfort in mind, with Karen and Sean residing close by, making your stay feel private but not isolated, a perfect balance. The property itself is magnificent, perched high up on a hill that can be seen from many cellar doors, boasting spectacular views from the wrap around veranda, and containing many special period features throughout this magnificent home. The warmth, connection and genuine hospitality Karen and Sean share is a real credit to them both, and two more well suited hosts you could not hope to find! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and were taken such good care of that it was hard to leave. Suffice to say we have already made our next booking!.

We spent a weekend at the Homestead with friends and had a very relaxing enjoyable weekend. Our group had a number of activities arranged which complemented our stay. Sean and Karen were so knowledgeable about local activities, restaurants and vineyards and assisted any way they could. The afternoon teas and Saturday night dinner was exceptional. Can’t give this location anything less than 5 stars. Highly recommended to anyone who wishes to sample their extraordinary hospitality.

We recently spent four nights at the Mudgee Homestead Guesthouse and what a treat it was! Our room was spacious, and being a corner room, there were windows on two sides so it was light and airy. The bed was verycomfortable, there was tons of storage with a beautiful walk in closet and lots of good quality hangers. Water pressure in the bathroom was excellent. But most of all, the warmth and friendliness of Sean and Karen was amazing. The care that Karen took with my gluten-free requirements was unsurpassed. Breakfast was scrumptious and superb, and every afternoon there was homemade cake, with the gluten-free for me especially labeled. One evening we had the platter for two which was absolutely delicious. There was so much food that there were enough leftovers for our lunch the next day! All in all, a fabulous stay and we will definitely be back! Thank you Sean and Karen for all your warmth and hospitality. Sharon & Steve

Beautifully appointed rooms, super clean and so beautifully arranged, each room having that unique look. Each day started with a 5 star course breakfast with variety across each day. Nothing too hard to arrange gives Sean and Karen superhost category. You can't go past this guesthouse
