I had a very successful stay; the conditions were extraordinary, and the team was skilled and kind. It is a superb building steeped in history. Its unique and special design exudes a quiet charm. An extremely rare Murano chandelier, a balcony, and a superb terrace add to its allure. The restaurant is small and elegant. The food is delicious, and the variety of wines is just right. On this occasion, I want to congratulate waiter Adrian again. He is remarkable and someone I have rarely met in this world. I will revisit you. Thanks for everything!

Our experience at the Suter Palace Hotel was extremely negative. From the very first day, we felt coldly received, with most of the staff not even offering a smile. While a few staff members were kind and helpful, the majority were rude, unmotivated, and showed an arrogant attitude. The service fell far below expectations: twice we returned to find our room door left slightly ajar after cleaning, compromising our safety. Moreover, the cleaning service was inconsistent—on the first day, the room was spotless and well-prepared, but in the following days, it was cleaned only to a bare minimum. One unpleasant incident occurred when I left my shoes, neatly placed, on the windowsill of our room, which overlooked the main street, for just a few minutes. I was immediately contacted by a staff member asking me to remove them. I simply asked for clarification, assuming the request might be for safety reasons (asking, “Do you think someone might steal them?”), but their arrogant response was, “What did you say about stealing?” It seemed as though the staff member felt offended, as if I held a prejudice that I certainly did not have. I was then told to remove the shoes because they “ruined the hotel’s image.” Another disappointment was the lack of free water, which was an included service. One evening, after calling to request water, I was told that it had run out in the pantry, and no apologies were offered. The worst episode occurred when my girlfriend and I accidentally knocked over and broke a small makeup mirror. We immediately went to the reception to apologize. They told us we would have to pay €250 as compensation. This seemed like an excessive amount for such a small mirror, so I asked for an invoice to justify the cost, which they failed to provide. The situation escalated, but I eventually proposed paying half—€125—and they accepted (which we appreciated). However, before reaching this agreement, the manager, who had been called by a staff member, approached me with an intimidating demeanor. When he shook my hand, he did so with excessive force, almost as if to challenge me. Only after I paid did his attitude change, and he shook my hand normally. Overall, we never felt welcomed or safe during our stay. The atmosphere was oppressive, and it felt as though our presence was barely tolerated, as if they were doing us a favor—despite the fact that we paid to stay there. Additionally, the gym was tiny, completely unworthy of a 5-star hotel, and the terrace was inaccessible, likely open only in the summer. Positives: The breakfast was good and plentiful, and the hotel’s structure is undeniably beautiful and elegant, with charming antique-style decor. Unfortunately, none of this compensates for the poor service and unpleasant atmosphere we experienced.

So this is a gorgeous place to stay , I think our timing was wrong , very quiet too quiet in staff areas just not enough people to ask for things and when I asked for a cocktail in the bar the lady said no ? No cocktails, it was so quiet I couldn’t understand why! But one guy Edwin, literally the best guy there, he runs breakfast , bar and pretty much everything- he’s the best and our trip was worth it coming from a busy business in Ireland trust me he’s a keeper - found other staff lacking not up to par with Edwin - people like enthusiastic waiting staff and staff in general that are interested ,happy - not staff that say ‘no’. In all it’s stunning but it’s staff won’t go out of the way the help you. Edwin should be a manager and whip those others into shape . He’s definitely does not get paid enough

An absolutely amazing experience in aesthetic delight and comfort. I felt like I was living in a fantasy. This heritage-listed hotel has everything in terms of comfort, beauty and luxury. The restaurant is very good and the breakfasts are excellent.

Definitely unlike any hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was quite elegant. Front desk staff were very accommodating. Everything such as the AC and WiFi worked flawlessly. The private terrace provided a stunning view. The only possible downside for some visitors is that Suter Palace hosts many events so sometimes there is a large group of people there well into the evening. With only 14 rooms and a handful of suites in an historic building, you will feel like a VIP at Suter Palace.

Really nice and classy hotel. Rooms are clean and stylish. Hotel is located on a quiet street. Restaurant food and service is amazing! Like a Michelin Star restaurant, but private and quiet. Recommend to couples and business travellers both.

Some really friendly personel but also some rude personel, the tall guy at the vallet can get some improvement. We had a package send to the hotel and they took extremely good care of it. Also we arrived another valet employee was there and he was very nice. We had room 306 and the room was okay. For the money we payed its not what you expect tho… we payed way less for way better comfort hotels in big cities. The airco could not get the temperature below 23/24 degrees our whole stay. It was 28 degrees outside. The worst was the bathroom, there was no way to shower without flooding the bathroom. There was such a big gap between the shower door and floor that 20% from the shower directly went on the floor. So 5 minutes showering turned into cleaning the whole bathroom floor after showering. The first time I didn’t notice it and ended up in cleaning and drying for half an hour. We felt like complaining on this matter was no use since we saw the airco problems on some other reviews, and you cannot fix a shower door that easily, cant imagine we are the first one complaining as well. We put a towel under the door and we could shower for 10 minutes without flooding the whole bathroom and only needed to dry it for 5 min… I felt a bit embarrassed for the drained towels every day and apologized to the cleaner. There is not much parking place and they argue to hand over your car keys. Since I had a rental and in my contract i am the only one allowed to drive in the car this was no option. Also I dont want to give my own car keys to someone who parks my car everywhere and no where. It would be nice to know this upfront because this would be a deal breaker to me since I dont like valet parking at all. If my car is damaged. Also its not close to the city but a bus stops close by. We did not use the restaurant but it was deserted. Didn’t see anyone there during our 5 nights stay. Good strong points: Pretty nice building, okayish breakfast, and good beds. It was also very clean. Would not come back the next time I visit Bucharest. Considering the price/quality, which have been better at other hotels in big cities.

We had a table on the terrace. We went for dinner. Staff was very courteous, seating was beautiful overlooking the garden. Shared 2 appetizers which were delicious and well prepared. My main was not excellent as I expected, the shrimps were overcooked and chewy. My friends meal was tasty. Wine was great the gentleman who recommended it (was wearing a mustache)knew its wines well. Overall experience was great, very attentive to details and caring. Prompt service. Thanks to both gentlemen who served us, unfortunately cannot remember their names, one of them was from the Philippines.
