Good location with very friendly staff and large clean rooms . We had rooms 905 and 909. We took advantage of the breakfast offer and it was a lovely variety with English breakfast tea and lovely fresh bread . Views of the city from the 9th floor were fabulous . Large bathroom .Good wifi.

This hotel gives you a clean no frills room with a great location in the Old Town at a price I found significantly lower than other hotels in the area. The rooms do not have a safe, do not have complementary in-room coffee or water, they don't even have a closet. But, they are very clean and have a large sharp TV. For the savings, it is a trade off I am willing to make and I would stay at this hotel again if I was in Bucharest.

The Marmorosch hotel building history unfolded in the Beautiful Age or La Belle Epoque. The rich architecture of the Art Deco as well as the interior design, tell a story of progressive ideas of the time evoking the thrilling sense of historical importance and optimism that is closely tied with the era. Currently hotel features 217 rooms from standard category to suites, 4 meeting and ballrooms, 4 food and beverage outlets, restaurant, lounge, bar as well as coffee corner, fitness centre and SPA with indoor pool and treatment rooms.

Marriott upper-scale properties, such as their Autograph Collection &/or Tribute Portfolio brands, continue to miss the mark. Weak management seems to plague many of these properties & consistent delivery of Marriott's Bonvoy Program only exists in the minds of HQ Executives. The experience of Bonvoy Members is something quite different in reality, since members NEVER know what to expect until they check in. Just finished 12 nights in 6 different European Marriott brands in 3 countries & only 1 even bothered to acknowledge our lifetime elite membership status. Otherwise, we received the same treatment as a guest staying at a Marriott property for the 1st time. The Marmorosch is indeed a beautiful property -- or at least the exterior & lobby area are. The rooms themselves are more more like Fairfield Inn properties in the US. Basic to the extreme & poor housekeeping was evident throughout the property. Trash that littered the floor on arrival was still there 3 days later, as were the blood droplets on the bathroom floor, & one has to question what type of housekeeping would leave a bed in the condition of the one in the attached photos? Only 1 side of the huge hand-pull drapes worked & could be opened, so we called to ask that someone be sent to fix the other side. A pleasant gentleman promptly appeared to tell us that they could not fix the drapes because a separate company had to be scheduled to do the repair. We subsequently learned from an honest employee that the non-functioning drapes issue has plagued the property since opening & is well known to owner/management. The property was previously a bank so there is a bar in the lower level Vault area, which one would incorrectly assume to be a beautiful & sophisticated location for cocktails. Unfortunately, as you descend the stairs to the lower level the loud & pulsating disco music immediately lets you know that your expectations are incorrect. We looked in the door & decided to not even bother entering & returned to the beautiful Lobby for drinks, but left after 15 minutes when no one arrived at the bar to offer service, & others who were waiting when we arrived were still unserved when we departed. Breakfast was a manic mess since the room where it is served is not capable of meeting guest needs if the hotel is more than 75% occupied. Many of the food items that should be hot are cold & unappetizing. Never saw a breakfast menu on a table in the first 2 days of our stay, & only after asking about cooked-to-order items that were being served around us on the 3rd day, were we given a menu with several options that are, in fact, available for breakfast. Check-in was the biggest fiasco we have ever encountered at ANY Marriott property. A full 50 minutes to check-in with only 2 employees manning the 4-5 positions & the Bonvoy Member sign on the front desk was completely meaningless. Only after several guests began to openly complain about the wait did a 3rd employee appear, but she gave ZER

Need to pay to use the swimming pool, a bit odd. And the hotel gym is not the same building, it has to go to another place, and you have to go to the front desk to get the card. so troublesome. The hotel's pool restaurant is unpalatable.

This hotel is a little tricky. Do not book the regular rooms because they are tired and the beds look soggy and used. They need to do a little bit of work on the interior in the carpets on the outside of the rooms. Only stay in the suites are and above cuz they're great. But the superior room and the regular room are not to my liking and a little depressing. But I would stay this hotel anytime I was in Bucharest but only in the sweets and the studios not in the regular tired looking hotel rooms. One of the major benefits of this hotel/aparte hotel is that it has a fantastic hot tub/ jacuzzi and it is right next door in the gym all you have to do is sign in. I love the hot tub and I love the pool especially in mid-December when everything was freezing. I would stay here anytime I visited Bucharest. The food in the restaurant is okay relatively okay value for the money and service is good. Also the women at the front desk are very helpful and accommodating.

This is a simple hotel that had the basic amenities but as that was all we needed we were quite happy with it. There are a couple place you can sit outside and enjoy the weather if you’d like. The only downside was they do not store luggage and the check out is early (10 am) so we had to get another day since our flight was later.

This is a great hotel. I had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is located right in the old city, close to all restaurants, bars, metro and attractions. Staff was very friendly and room was very clean and modern. The room has a fridge, safe, TV and even its own thermostat to adjust the temperature as you please. Cons are like in every major city centres the beggars are always present around the hotel and if you have a room facing the street there will be noise. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and had already recommended to friends and family.

The hotel is situated a few metres from the Gara de Nord railways station and underground station, so it is very easy to reach. The check-in procedure was fast, room clean with a large bed, toilet, shower, TV set, hairdryer etc. The door is card-operated, mine unfortunately didn´t work properly, so I had to go to the reception desk twice but the girl was really helpful. Breakfast is served in the adjacent building from 7 .00 to 10.30, quite a good range of things to choose from. Wi-fi connection strong and stable. Next time in Bucharest I will definitely try to get a room here again.

The hotel is not far from the subway station and there is a university below. When we arrived, there was a university game. There is also a supermarket nearby, which is convenient for shopping. Very cost-effective, recommended to stay. But I didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment.

GGuest UserThis hotel is super nice and a very chic place to stay. Fun to have a drink in the lobby and to have breakfast inside the restaurant. The rooms are very spacious they have like three separate rooms and they have a beautiful balcony overlooking the property. Staff was flawless hotel was very upscale. The only problem I have with this hotel is that the pool is very very small and I like to luxury ate and of huge swimming pool when I am on vacation and the pool here very small maybe only suitable for children or for someone who doesn't like to swim laps. I never took a dip in the pool and I changed hotels because I wanted a spa / swimming pool hot tub amenity for my vacation. If you were not into pools then this is the perfect place to stay. I got this room for $100 a night and that is truly a steal.

GGuest UserWhen i got there, I was told I was too early (fair enough, check-in is from 2 pm and i got there around 11.30) I had sort of anticipated this, so thought i would just kill some time at the skybar which supposedly has a great view - but much to my surprise, I was told the skybar was closed, only open for breakfast. Must be the biggest attraction of the hotel, and in their wisdom, they close it! So instead, I took a walk heading towards the parliament building which is preety close by. When i returned a while later, room was now ready but oh by the way, the lift doesnt work! So i now had to carry luggage up the fire exit staircase (room was on 4th floor). Very narrow and poorly lit, so if you have trouble walking - good luck. Just hope you dont meet somebody coming down - passing them will be a challenge :-) Reception said lift would be fixed in a day or two!! So i made it to the room and cannot really decide what to think of it. On the one hand, it was spotlessly clean and looked very new and modern but on the other hand: No coffee / tea, There was a minibar with some wine and soft drinks but no beer,No glasses to be found anywhere (so I guess, just drink the wine from the bottle),WiFi works but not very stable - keeps dropping out. At breakfast, the skybar was now open - 2 people in front of me for the coffee machine which was quite slow - turned out they were not guests - but the breakfast room staff!. When they finally had their coffee they went straigth out onto the open terrasse for a cigarette (very small outdoor terrase and the staff now occupied 1/3 of it) and started chatting quite loudly - so terrasse is just as much for the staff - not the guests only. And really - if staff of any kind of establishment wants to have a loud discussion, do so away from the guests!! Breakfast was very poor - quite frankly pathetic! - some dry toast bread, a little bit of cheese and some slices of what looked like ham/salami - nothing warm like e.g. eggs (of course the staff were busy out on the terrasse smoking and having a loud conversation). Definately not worth any money at all - instead head out for one of the many cafes very close by. The lobby has what looks like a bar, but all they sell is coffee. Big surprise to me when late afternoon after a long walk i came back, asked for a cold beer and was told they didnt have any!! You can have some wine from the minibar, but you cant have a beer anywhere. The day of departure i waited a little in the lobby for my taxi to the airport. Need to use a bathroom?? Too bad - just like the lift, out of order. This would be fixed ”in a day or 2” so clearly not a priority for this place. Wifi, although it did work in the room - no luck in the lobby - could not connect at all. The guy in the lobby was nice enough but most of the time you will find him outside, having a smoke. All in all, extremely dissapointed with this place. Wish i had gone back to Hello Hotel instead - breakfast much much better, you can

GGuest UserThe hotel room was all necessary and the size was normal. The bed is very comfortable. They also serve a breakfast in the morning, where you can find a variety of buffet-format products. The hotel staff were very good. The hotel is not near the centre, but the bus stop is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Also, if you come from the airport, you have a good location. Firstly this is not a 4* hotel. This is probably a 2 or 3 at a push. I booked this for 7 nights through ******* for a executive double with city view (if you’re going to book this hotel, book though them as you’re protected. First day I checked in to the hotel, thought it was weird that our room was on the 5th floor, strange for a city view. I get up to the room and the key doesn’t work for the room. Back down the lift and already 3 people waiting with the same issue. Get back up to my room again, enter and looks like something from the early 2000s, marked walls and furniture. Also this is a standard room with no bath unlike the booking suggested. Went back downstairs and the receptionist said this was a executive room. Yeah ok, thought I’d let it slide and just make the most it it. Went out through the day, came back and thought I’d see what the restaurant was like. Restaurant was open from 7-10pm. Half 8 and it was closed, In fact, this wasn’t even open the whole evening. Asked for some water and they couldn’t give me it. Used the water in the mini fridge. Day 2 key didn’t work again, mini fridge wasn’t re stocked and bar and restaurant shut again. No water supplied, already eaten out so didn’t need the food. Day 3 key didn’t work again, mini fridge wasn’t restocked, just to add, air con is also absolutely crap. Restaurant was open but not for food, got some nice wine. Had already got water today from the shop so didn’t need that. Day 4 key didn’t work again, mini fridge hasn’t restocked again, after a long day out, walking 12 miles in total around, all I needed was a nice glass of wine and some water. RESTAURANT CLOSED! they wouldn’t even get us a glass of water or fill up the damn mini fridge. This was it, I contacted ******* and explained the situation, they spoke to reception once and were advised to call back Monday, called again and was told they couldn’t supply us with our room as the floor was taken for a party. They basically downgraded us to make room for a party and didn’t think to tell us, rather just lie. 3 days left so left the hotel and went to the crown plaza, a real 4* hotel. I sit here with a glass of wine writing this review,l. Hotel is not very well ran, it’s on its way out, please don’t stay here unless you’re happy with a bed and breakfast with a crappy night sleep Avoid like the plague. Ps before I leave breakfast was reliable, basic as anything but it was always open.

When my Husband, Baby and I landed in Bucharest our original hotel The Mansion Boutique Hotel turned us away because they did not accept babies. We were frantic about finding another place to stay and we came across the New Era Hotel. This hotel has very friendly staff and they are incredibly accommodating. Bogdan was the front desk Clerk and was very engaging and made us feel at ease- he even helped us set up the crib in our hotel room. Unfortunately, our baby was so jet-legged she cried nearly all night. I was so worried they were going to say something about this but instead greeted us warmly the next morning with a wonderful breakfast. To highly recommend this hotel would be an understatement and we will be staying here again on our next trip to old town Bucharest.

GGuest UserWell located at the intersection of Eminescu and Dacia. It is in a relatively recent building that we found our large apartment on the 6th floor consisting of 3 rooms including two bedrooms. Blackout curtains would be useful so as not to be woken up by the rising sun. Equipped with 2 toilets, one of which is separate. The bathroom is okay; sluggish hair dryer. The bedding should be changed; a simple sheet of foam on a mattress is not a mattress topper! The kitchen is minimally equipped, but as the restaurants aren't expensive, we didn't use it. Only real downside, the lack of contact in the evening in case of emergency... Excellent value for money

GGuest UserI stayed in one of these apartments with 2 other friends, we had a great time, not only for the location very close to the center, but also within walking distance of 2 pharmacies, a supermarket (behind) and several bars, as well as all the stops of more useful buses and trams. The apartment had 2 very comfortable double beds, a kitchenette and a good sized bathroom with shower. There is Wi-Fi and there is always someone in reception in the morning to turn to in case of need. The apartment had all the necessary comforts for those who stop to visit the city. Absolutely highly recommended.
