Folkestone Inn

Tranquility, lap cat Jerry, old house charm, incredible breakfasts with fresh fruit, eggs and ham, proximity to amazing hiking trails in the Smoky mt park. All of these made for a rejuvenating 3 days. We needed to calm down after evacuating our retreat near Little Switzerland due to wildfires last week. We swapped that retreat for Folkestone Inn. I enjoyed this one more. And we will return!! Thanks Toni for your hospitality and wonderful food!

This place is the perfect B&B. The hosts are retired chefs so the food is amazing. The bed was SO comfortable with soft sheets and cozy pillows. The farmhouse has all the charm of age - thick wood floorboards, claw foot tubs, and a deep porch that overlooks a long grassy yard, a walking bridge over a tiny creek, and an amazing fire pit. Despite its age the AC kept up with the July heat well and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast room was surrounded by windows making a bright and beautiful place to start the day. It is very close to Deep Creek park which I highly recommend, and close to Bryson City with its charming downtown and plentiful restaurants and breweries. I am already planning my next trip. This may be my favorite stay ever.

We stayed for a week and had the most relaxing experience. Breakfast was delicious and different every morning. Our hosts were so kind and wonderful resources for finding out about the local area and things to do. We stayed in the Carson Farmhouse room and loved our backdoor access. Bed was super comfy, comfortable sitting area and the communal areas were like being at home. The plus was getting to chat with the other guests and find out even more places to go. We will be back! Oh, and did I mention the fresh baked cookies every afternoon? The almond joy cookies were the best!

This was our second stay at Folkestone Inn. We loved it so much last year we just had to come back again. The Inn is clean and beautifully decorated and maintained.

Such a wonderful and cozy bed-and-breakfast in the beautiful mountains of Bryson city. It is just outside of downtown and within walking distance to some awesome live music at one of the campgrounds. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a couple years! Toni was a wonderful host and we look forward to our next visit.

Excellent, comfortable and homelike place to stay near Bryson City. The location is excellent and very close to Bryson city, two national parks entrances and a short drive to the ****** and a nice walkable city(Sylva). The room was very comfortable and the bed was amazing as well. We loved the breakfast and it was different each of the 3 days we stayed. Afternoon cookies and tea were a nice treat to look forward too as well. There is a very sweet and affectionate cat named Cherry that lives at the inn(outdoors) that loves to be pet. Lots of chickens live at the Deviled Egg Inn on the property and supply the delicious eggs for breakfast. There is a farm right next door that has horses and cows which are beautiful to watch from the porch or through the window as you eat breakfast. There is also a small “game room” with a ton of board games and also plenty of books throughout the inn for a quick read. It was a great experience and would definitely come back again.
