Folkestone Inn

Excellent, comfortable and homelike place to stay near Bryson City. The location is excellent and very close to Bryson city, two national parks entrances and a short drive to the ****** and a nice walkable city(Sylva). The room was very comfortable and the bed was amazing as well. We loved the breakfast and it was different each of the 3 days we stayed. Afternoon cookies and tea were a nice treat to look forward too as well. There is a very sweet and affectionate cat named Cherry that lives at the inn(outdoors) that loves to be pet. Lots of chickens live at the Deviled Egg Inn on the property and supply the delicious eggs for breakfast. There is a farm right next door that has horses and cows which are beautiful to watch from the porch or through the window as you eat breakfast. There is also a small “game room” with a ton of board games and also plenty of books throughout the inn for a quick read. It was a great experience and would definitely come back again.

The Folkestone Inn is on a level all to itself! Scott and Toni do an amazing job of welcoming you as guests and then waving as friends when you drive away. I schedule vacations to this area based on their availability, not mine! Do not hesitate!

A lovely home away from home! We loved everything about it! The hardwood floors, the claw foot tub, the freshly made chocolate chip cookies everyday and the beautiful yard with happy chickens. Plus, I can’t forget to mention the AMAZING breakfasts served! I would’ve payed a significant amount of money for the same quality at a restaurant. If you’re looking for a friendly, comfortable place to stay, this is the place for you!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay while we checked out local waterfalls. Certainly the best breakfast combined with a relaxing atmosphere and unique, beautiful rooms! It was the perfect beginning and end to each day of our visit to the area.

Our stay was very relaxing. Scott was very friendly and an exceptional cook. His meals were absolutely delicious. The bed was super comfy and we really enjoyed having our coffee by the faux fireplace in our room. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by rolling hills and wildlife. The house is five minutes from downtown and five minutes from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park with lots of trails and waterfalls. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing getaway.

Everything about our stay was awesome! The room was perfect, the breakfast was outstanding, the surroundings were beautiful! Close enough to Bryson city to get to places quickly but far enough away to enjoy being surrounded by nature. Would definitely visit again.
