I had booked 2 nights but for hygienic reasons I was unable/wanted to stay in this hotel. Hair and hair everywhere, stained sheets, toilet still dirty from previous guests, rusty sink cabinet (with risk of cutting yourself), shower curtain covered in stains, there was everything on the floor. The room seemed, and probably was, as if it had not been cleaned for months as well as being poorly furnished (broken and dated furniture). We reported the situation to the girl at reception who, under the directives of her superior, offered us another room. Too bad that this one was also in the same state as the other one, plus it was permeated with a very strong smell of smoke. Having also made this detail known, we were offered a deodorant spray as a remedy to the problem. We declined the offer and moved to another hotel. In years of travel we had never come across such a dirty situation. Obviously the hotel did not refund us a cent and Booking, despite the images we sent them to show them the state of the room, offered us a refund of 25 euros (we spent 143) obviously in the form of a Wallet. It would seem that if the hotel offers you another room and you refuse, he has done it so you take it in your pocket. It doesn't matter if the alternative they propose is like the one you just rejected. I feel like I strongly advise against the Queen Mary hotel, which unfortunately looks misleading from the images, but at this point also Booking as as a customer I did not feel protected at all.
