Reflections Massy Greene - Holiday Park

The Waterfront Camping/caravan sites are the biggest reason we all keep going back here. When camped at these sites the park does not have the restrictive feel of most other parks we have been to. We have been coming here for a decade and a half. Excellent Excellent Excellent!

Very poor facility for the amount you pay. Hasn’t had any updates in years and years other than the very expensive new cabins. The staff are lovely though and Lorna and Jared who the the managers are the best. There are no facilities for kids and the park amenities need work

A very expensive park for the facilities provided. No grey water disposal on the premium riverfront sites. Good location within walking distance to the pub, restaurants and shops. The park was only about one third full so maybe if the prices were dropped mid-week they may attract more customers. We paid $81 per night for a mid-week stay.

Unless you are staying in one of the new cabins, expect to find nothing but neglect evident everywhere else. The roads within the park are full of potholes, the fencing is rotting, only some sites are numbered and no sites have been defined by line-marking. Many of the sites are not graded to drain rain water. Many do not offer sullage. The ammenities, whilst clean, haven’t been upgraded in decades. The entry doors don’t lock properly, some toilet cubicles also don’t lock, one shower doesn’t even have a lock on it…just a hole to allow anyone to look through it. The door shows evidence of rot, so obviously the lock has been missing for a long time. The camp kitchens are likewise old and in need of a makeover. Bins are often overflowing. There has been talk for many years of upgrading the park, but meanwhile nothing is repaired or improved - yet the prices continue to go up. We will not stay here again. The river is great, but the whole of Brunswick Heads appears neglected by Byron Council, so the park stands little chance of getting any better. Even the staff seem unhappy with their lot.

The site is double the cost of other parks on the east coast of Australia and so we expected it to be wonderful. Unfortunately it wasn’t. The site had a tired, drab depressing feel to it, and certainly not worth the money we paid for it. Compared to other sites apart from having the river on your doorstep, the site did not have anything to recommend it apart from the main shower block was ok. Everything seemed old and shabby. We were glad to leave. Definitely not worth the money.
