Hotel Paradiso Como

The place where the hotel is located - simply fantastic. The road is typical for mountain-small villages therefore I recommend you renting a small car :) the hospitality is outstanding, room was clean, very aesthetic and - the best part - THE RESTAURANT. The food made by Gina is simply the best, if you can you should try it. The breakfast is so complete and tasty as well!

I want to start the review with the location. Yes, it was beautiful once we got there but getting there is not easy. We arrived by train, no taxi would take us there because it's 30 min there and then they would loose 30 min of their time while traveling back down, the very narrow road. Ubers would accept it but then decline for same reason. We ended up taking taxi to funicular but then you have to wait in line to go up which was long and as it gets busier will be longer. Once you reach the top you still have another 8 -10 min ride. We were told we could use bus to travel the remaining distance but after spending time trying to find that I finally called the hotel and she said the buses don't run that day and that she would come get us. Well she came in a small car and there were four of us plus our luggage so she could only transport two at a time. We went first and then had to wait for her to return with the other couple in order to check in and there were other guests waiting to check in as well. Hotel room was very clean and updated recently. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. We had booked the hot tub for private use in the evening but had I known it was only luke warm, head pillows kept falling off and there weren't enough people staying we couldn't had it to ourselves anyway, I should've cancelled instead of spending the extra money. We arrived fairly late in the day so by time we got to the pool it was to cold to enjoy. Due to the issues we had getting up we asked the hotel to make arrangements for a taxi back to train station which was around $100.

Incredible views. The staff are amazing. My wife and I stayed here and recommend it! The rooms are comfortable and clean. Also, make sure you get the breakfast at the hotel. It's delicious. They will even shuttle you down to the Funicular. It's easy to get down to Como.

Appauling customer service, hosts impolite, disrespectful and downright rude! Rooms not serviced on arrival and took 5 hours after check in to so call clean More than a dozen codes given before actually worked I would not recommend this place and the hosts should be ashamed for their upsetting behaviour!
