Our stay at the Lygon Arms Hotel in Broadway was the most beautiful, peaceful and wonderful highlight of our two weeks in England. The hotel staff and grounds were all amazing. Lots of cozy nooks and crannies inside to enjoy a coffee with a book in the morning and drinks and snacks in the afternoon. We ate both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and both were perfect. However, the most spectacular parts of the hotel were the grounds. The plaza/patio behind the bar area had a gorgeous and perfectly kept collection of plants, trees and gorgeous flowers. Beyond that, behind the Inn, we found the most amazing and beautiful gardens. It was a series of gardens, each slightly unique, leading to a final fourth labyrinth garden with chairs and benches. My first morning walking through the garden, my wife and I stumbled upon Bill, the head and master gardener. We asked him about the grounds, and we ended up chatting every morning about the gardens, the beautiful town and area, and our plans for the rest of our trip in England. Honestly, when I think back on out trip to England years from now, Bill and the Lygon Arms Hotel will be the highlight I talk about the most. (Seriously, find the gardens, find Bill, and say hello. You’ll be glad you did).
