Stayed here two nights with my husband. The room was clean and the bed really comfortable. The staff friendly and the food was lovely. I would recommend staying here it’s a short walk into town. And it’s certainly a really lovely old pub. We will return,

Visited 3 consecutive days, first 2 days Timothy Taylor Landlord Ale was beautiful in the bar, smooth and probably best I have tasted in many a pub selling this ale. I know my beers. Today visited looking forward to another exceptional pint of the same, but oh it was bad, strange aftertaste, didn't even taste like the smooth ale I had loved on previous days. Queried with old guy I took to be the boss, he took a sip and almost as he swallowed it declared it to be fine! Now we all know to savour before judging for a couple of seconds....but not this guy! Don't know what I was served (?)but it was not a good Landlord and won't be going back. Notice other reviews comment on almost disdain of visitors.....experienced and needs addressing.

Really glad we went was slightly hesitant when read some reviews but the food was excellent traditional english pub food but of 5 star standard which is hard to find as many restaurants and pubs do fine dining of which my 90 year olds in family do not like. The service is outstanding and the young boy and girl who served us were so friendly polite And couldn’t do more for is if they tried they are a credit to the pub pity it was our last night in Cotswolds but will be back next year and this pub is first on my list you will not be disappointed 10/10

Fantastic overnight stay. Nice clean room with everything we needed. Location is ideal, just off the High Street with access to all the shops, restaurants and bars etc. Rooms above the pub and didn’t get a chance to sample food or beer but very busy which tells you everything. Parking just around the corner. Free after 6pm. Didn’t book breakfast which probably regret as no doubt superb.

A word of advice - treat “out of towners” with a little more courtesy. A good village pub is a beautiful thing but they would not survive were it not for the custom of people who would not be deemed locals. The landlord here needs to understand that running a quaint pub in Broadway is going to involve serving people who live somewhere other than Broadway. If he can’t come to terms with that and treat people with some basic courtesy, he should consider running a pub somewhere else. The very average food would have been a little more palatable had it been accompanied with an ounce of warmth and courtesy. Good manners and a smile cost nothing.

This pub has a "local" culture. If you're a tourist (contributing to the thriving Cotswold economy) be on your guard here. We sat at table that was reserved, but only planned a quick drink. 16.05 we sat down, 16.45 the table was reserved for. A "local" person, I think female, but certainly don't want to assume her pronoun, loudly began telling her partner that we shouldn't be sitting at that table and should be sat somewhere else. Perplexed (and embarrassed) I wasn't quite sure what to do but rationalised in my head it was ok to sit at the table we selected. She then loudly stated "I JUST DONT GET THE GENERAL PUBLIC SOMETIMES". Wow. I then noticed "her", sorry "their" table had a little plaque saying "LOCALS TABLE". And then I understood the apparent discrimination. We sat in the wrong area of the pub. Our skin and being didn't fit because we were not local. We did not have the power and control that the locals had. We were 2nd rate citizens. It's 2024, #bekind. Do not visit this pub if you value humans, empathy and kindness, you simply won't find it.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere and friendly service. Food extremely basic which was a shame. Yorkshire pudding was inedible ,overdone. Roast sunday dinner served in the evening appeared to be warmed up.

Desperately disappointing. We returned to the area after 20 years with fond memories of this pub, but oh dear oh dear. The staff were nice but not overly friendly, the beer well there were lots of pumps, lots to choose from on the menu but sadly not much was actually available on our visit. Apparently waiting for delivery. Now for the food !! We didn’t expect to much, it offers a traditional basic pub menu, eg fish and chips, steak and chips, plus a few slightly more exotic dishes such as chicken chorizo with roasted parsnip and potatoes in a sauce. My partner had steak and chips. It was ok but nothing special. To be honest you cannot go to far wrong with that. However, I went for the chicken chorizo. What a mistake. Absolutely awful!! We read a lot about how pubs are struggling and so we love to support our traditional English pubs. But oh my goodness this place seriously needs to up its game if it wants to survive. As a minimum employ someone who can cook basic food.
