This hotel was excellent. Super clean and friendly staff. We stayed just one night on our way down to Nice and we were welcomed, shown how to get to the secure parking and directions to the local restaurants. Room was newly decorated and was fitted out with better than the standard fitting you normally get. Bed was comfortable and overall a nice place to stay.

Very convenient to walk into the old city and convenient for the railway station. Parking in the long term station car park opposite is €9.80 per 24hrs and cheaper if you stay longer. Breakfasts were very good but food was not replenished when busy. Staff were always polite and friendly

Despite being substantially renovated in 2016 this feels very much like a traditional hotel - and none the worse for that. Very good:- Fair sized room with large bathroom that had a walk-in shower and grab rails for those of us whose balance is not what it was; and for once a shaver point and light that were correctly positioned in relation to one another. Pleasant salon where we could sit and read our books when we did not want to go out in the rain. Location - across the road from the SNCF station. Less than 10 minute walk to town centre. Good:- Above average hotel restaurant where we had a good dinner . Pleasant staff. Comfortable beds. Double curtains that kept out the light from the brightly-lit railway station. Average:- Buffet breakfast (that one has to book the night before "to save waste") Needs attention:- No handrail on short but tricky flight of stairs from reception to lift.

We hosted a welcome dinner for 35 people traveling from the United States to Brive for a family wedding. The location was perfect and the dining staff was amazing to work with! The dinner was lovely and the table setting was beautiful. They arranged a cocktail hour for us immediately prior to the dinner on a last minute notice in their lovely outdoor space and it was delightful. I highly recommend this hotel for your gatherings!

My family and I stayed in this hotel early August for one night in two classic suites. Unfortunately the hotel turned the air-conditioning off at 1am for a number of hours, whilst the temperature was 38c in Brive. The temperatures in the rooms were unbearable and it was not possible to sleep. The duty night manager visited our room to investigate the air conditioning issue and confirmed it had been turned off, however the hotel manager disputed the problem existed in the morning when we checked out. The front desk staff were bureaucratic (as mentioned in previous reviews) and rude, and basically accused us of lying about the air-conditioning problem (however I have video evidence which has been submitted to the agent I made the booking with to request a refund). Hotel location is good and the rooms decor is basic but clean, however I strongly recommend that you stay elsewhere - turning the air-conditioning off at night for cost cutting reasons in extreme heat is irresponsible. If you do decide to stay here I suggest you pay attention to the air-conditioning at night to make sure it does not get turned off, or bring a fan with you!

Un excellent accueil à la réception… La chambre était confortable ainsi que la literie . Hôtel très calme et original par ses espaces et décoration. Le seul bémol est le petit déjeuner qui malgré son prix (12 €) manque d’originalité tel que des omelettes , smothies …

Accueil sympathique, très bien situé par rapport au entre ville. Chambre spacieuse, décorée avec goût.Chauffage et climatisation, wifi, téléviseur. Literie de très bonne qualité . Propreté impeccable . Petit déjeuner varié et copieux.

Accueil parfait ! Notre chambre était très spacieuse, très confortable et joliment décorée. On voit que cet hôtel est choyé et très bien entretenu… Le petit déjeuner était excellent lui aussi. Au final une étape vraiment reposante et sympa, pour un prix très raisonnable. Je recommande vivement !
