Leonardo Hotel Bristol City

I stayed at the Leonardo Hotel in Bristol, and it was a pleasant experience overall. One of the best aspects was the location—just an 8-minute walk from Temple Meads train station. The weather was sunny, making the walk really enjoyable, though there are a few stairs along the way to keep in mind. We arrived earlier than expected at 10:30 AM and were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was already ready. That was a great start to our stay! Our room on the 7th floor was spacious and spotlessly clean, except for some permanent stains in the shower—not dirt, but not particularly nice to look at. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I honestly had one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a while. It was also a lovely room for families with a child, as our kid finally got a real comfy bed rather than a wobbly open sofa bed. The lobby was a nice spot to relax after a day of walking around the city. They offer water for guests and even have some board games, which was a fun touch. Breakfast was decent, though not particularly memorable. My main issue was the lack of non-dairy options for making a cappuccino. While they offer non-dairy milks, it wasn’t possible to make a cappuccino with them unless you paid extra for a barista-made one. I found this disappointing, especially since more and more people are opting for dairy-free alternatives. It’s an area that could definitely be improved. It's not worth booking direct with the hotel as they don't bother to be competitive. Overall, it was a comfortable stay in a well-located hotel, with just a few minor areas for improvement.

We choose Leonardos based on reviews on Google and ***********. Hotel was centrally located, within 10 minute walk from Bristol train station. Check-in was smooth, room was good but had dust on tables and chairs. Beds were extremely comfortable and we slept really well. Washroom was good as well, with hot/cold water. There was no exhaust in washroom, so it becomes really humid with 5 minutes of taking shower. Iron and iron stand was provided in room. We had breakfast booked as well, which was excellent. Breakfast buffet had so much options including 2 types of eggs, croissants, muffins, juices, tea and coffee (as we only could try halal options) Overall, really enjoyed our stay.

This is my 3rd time stopping here and I always enjoy coming back with 1st class service with a smile and a comfortable sleep and a lovely relaxing foyer will definitely make it visit number 4 next time keep up the good work leonardo. 👏 Michael Addison 31/12/24 - 02/01/25

Very good service. The breakfast is very complete and the workers of the hotel very nice!

A new hotel in a very convenient location. I felt it was a bit overpriced for what it was. Slightly disappointed that the hotel took no note of my message that this was a birthday surprise for my partner. There is a very nice bakery (Mokoko) nearby which also goes good coffee. I would recommend them for breakfast.

Our first time stay at this hotel, and probably our last. Didn’t like the parking arrangements at all. You can only use the reception parking for a few minutes. Then having to park a few minutes walk away AND pay quite a bit for it(although discounted), just isn’t good enough for a newish 4 star hotel. Especially when there appeared to be loads of unused car parking behind. How did that get agreed? Hotel itself is quite nice, staff very friendly, breakfast a bit pricey at £13 if booked the night before and even more so for £16 in the morning. Think we’ll be trying a few of the others nearby next time.
