Always a pleasure to visit Berwick Lodge. This visit was to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary. We were given the same warm welcome as we given when arriving for our wedding day. Lovely log fire burning in the reception hall next to the magnificent Christmas tree. We chose the Troya room which is definitely not to be missed. Flowers in the room were exactly as requested. Food was fantastic made with all local fresh ingredients. The chefs, kitchen and waiting staff are all exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. Complimentary Christmas cocktails were amazing served in the cozy lounge. Breakfast was freshly cooked with quality ingredients. A great hotel which feels more like visiting relatives than a business transaction. Fully recommend if you’re in the Bristol area looking for a unique experience. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you all at Berwick Lodge.

Booked for afternoon tea the location and atmosphere is so relaxed the presentation of the choice of teas and the sandwiches could not be faulted The building and the interior rooms made for a relaxing special occasion the food was fresh tasty and well presented nothing to fault Will definitely be returning

Stayed in Kappadokia room, booked via Secret Escapes for 2 nights bed, breakfast and £40 per person towards evening meal on both nights. A beautiful boutique manor house with fabulous period features and gorgeous grounds. Everything exuded opulence and the staff were always helpful and friendly. Dinner could be chosen from a standard menu or a la carte. Both menus were of an exceptionally high standard. We chose dishes from each, and it was all sublime. Coupled with the surroundings, it felt like we were eating at a Michelin starred restaurant. For breakfast there was plenty of choice and it was all cooked to perfection. On arrival, we had a minor issue when the room above us allowed their roll-top bath to overflow! We had an impromptu shower in our bathroom as a result, but this was dealt with promptly and with much apology by the staff, who also ensured that the issue would not be repeated and gave us complimentary drinks to atone for the inconvenience. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here, and we were also given a tip that if you find a deal online, please call the hotel before booking because they may be able to match or exceed it if you book directly with them.

Stayed as a solo female! Easy online checkin & staff behaved more like a host. Beautiful & clean rooms that struck a balance between being warm & grand. Enjoyable grounds & dining. Staff are friendly & helpful. 10/10 recommend the Berwick!!

Beautiful Victorian mansion tucked away down a country lane large traditional rooms with character excellent service so helpful and friendly made our stay so special proper 5 star hotel this is how all hotels should be run would love to go back sometime for a longer break if you want peace and quiet quality food and a relaxing atmosphere this is the place

We were greeted by the lovely Angela on reception and were on a Secret Escapes offer and we selected the superior room named (Kappadokia) It was on the front with a large bay window massive room which was delightful and a large bathroom with double sinks, shower and a roll top bath. The owners are Turkish and over the 15 years they have owned it have made it into a stunning hotel. The rooms are named after their children. The gardens are very well kept and ideal for a stroll around. We had the duck for our evening meal and was served by very polite staff. The breakfast was also very good(Eggs Benedict) hot plates for me every time. Would we stay here again absolutely. My husband and I are always having weekend breaks and this has been one of the best. Is it a little expensive for what you get, I dont think so. You get what you pay for. There is also information on the many changes of the lodge over the years

Very comfortable room. Exceptionally clean. Hotel is in very pretty gardens. Staff were extremely helpful and the hotel is full of character. I would recommend unreservedly. We were in the India room which was beautifully furnished. Lovely hotel.

I’ve not even checked out yet but I can honestly say, this place is FANTASTIC!!!! The hotel is beautiful and super clean. Every staff member is genuinely so polite and helpful. The food is fantastic. A business runs on it’s staff and from reception to the cleaner and waiting staff they’ve nailed it. The owners and staff should be very proud of themselves. My new go to EVERYTIME!!!
