Beech House

With the check in process being completely electronic and parking available it was very quick and easy to get started with our stay. The apartment building itself seemed very secure and private. You are a 15 minute walk from the city centre, so the city was accessible but the apartment location was relatively secluded in comparison. The apartment was a lot bigger than expected and extremely clean. Couldn’t hear any noise from other rooms and the temperature at night was perfect (not too hot) even though we were on the second floor. Had no issues with the electronic key and would highly recommend a stay here.

We greatly enjoyed returning to Beech House again. The accommodation was very nice and clean and we love the Clifton area having lived there previously. The access and car parking was very convenient. Communication is very good and any queries answered promptly via WhatsApp. We would always like to choose Beech House whenever we visit Clifton and would highly recommend the accommodation and services.

Lovely room, very clean, but like other people, we had problems getting into the building on several occasions, one of which was at 00:30 in the morning which caused considerable distress. There was a 24-hour helpline and the gentleman that spoke to us was helpful and sent someone out to help us. However, the fact that there was no backup key in the lockbox, and that the app is the only way to get in (bar someone coming out) and is clearly not 100% reliable is not something I would risk again. Considering these issues, none of which were our fault, I asked for a partial refund (as I was happy with the room) but was refused. I suppose this makes sense considering how many people have difficulty with the access. I would therefore not recommend staying here for these reasons, unless the check-in process is changed.

Be careful with your booking, we were very much looking forward to our weekend stay to attend a wedding and despite the room being available at the time of booking, a stay before we were due to check in has extended their stay and the company have chose their stay over ours, despite booking 3 months ago and the payment already made and sent for our stay. Wouldn’t recommended this place based on the quick change up and the ease they had in cancelling our booking without helping to find a suitable alternative.

We had an excellent stay here in a one bedroom apartment. Very well equipped, nice decor, smart entry hall and comfortable. Parking just across the street in a private car park. Easy to walk to Clifton and into the city centre. Marks and Spencer food 2 minute walk on Whiteladies road. The virtual key worked well, it was nice not having to think about a card. Some reviews said it didn’t work but as long as you download the app and do as directed before you arrive it works perfectly well. Don’t forget your phone charger through! I had prompt replies to my emails and spoke to a nice guy at the Urban when I had some questions.
