What an amazing stay! Absolutely gorgeous, spotless and Sam was so friendly throughout. Breakfast was delightful, freshly made including homemade bread and cookies. Honestly couldn’t have asked for more, can’t wait to come back!! :) x

Wonderful relaxing stay, went for a short 2 night break with my cousin to enjoy some girls time, shopping. Sam was a fabulous host. Nothing too much trouble. Country views from our twin room were really serene and peaceful, sheep grazing right outside in the courtyard that was available for guests use. Breakfast was delicious and perfectly served. The room for extremely quiet, which was our number one requirement when looking for a place to stay as we were fed up with noisy hotels in the past. we went into Stamford which was lovely with a good selection of shops. Hopefully we will return soon

The Swallows Rest is set in a rural village off the beaten track, but close to the centre. The Garden room was a quiet well equiped room overlooking the garden with a very comfortable bed and a good quality, spacious bathroom. The breakfast, chosen the night before, covers all the options and was both plentiful and delicious. We chose to have it in our room but you can eat it in a common area shared with the other guests from the other two rooms. There is also an honesty bar for snacks and other drinks. Sam was a very welcoming and hospitable host. All in all a lovely short stay!

We went here as a night of luxury ahead of 4 nights camping at the Greenbelt festival. From the moment we arrived we knew we'd hit the jackpot. A warm welcome, easy parking and a fantastic setting in a truly beautiful village. The room was fantastic and beautifully decorated - and the inclusion of a long deep bath with a plentiful supply of hot water was just what my back needed after a lengthy drive ahead of sleeping in a tent. The way the place is run relaxes you from the start - including an honesty box for snacks and chilled beers. The local village has 2 great friendly pubs and a co-op and is stunning. To be honest I'd already decided this would get 10/10 for me (or 5 stars) before we had the breakfast. After the breakfast I would give it 12/10 or 6 stars (but can't alas). A lovely selection of properly sourced local ingredients, healthy and delicious. As a meat eater I was a bit dubious about the lack of a 'full english', but the options we're nutritious, and beautifully presented - and a delight. Highly recommended and a jewel of a find. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

We first stayed for 3 nights in 2024 and returned again in August this year, whilst attending the nearby Greenbelt Festival. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. Our room (Willow) had both a bath and a shower. The location is quiet, conducive for a good nights rest, but in an interesting village that has a shop and two pubs. The food Sam lays on for breakfast is freshly made and delicious, with a lovely home made cookie to look forward to on return in the afternoon/evening. If you want a top notch experience with great food, look no further. We've stayed in lots of B and B's over the years, but this is up there with the best and we look forward to returning

Down a quiet lane in a pretty Northamptonshire village the Swallows Nest is a little gem. I was warmly welcomed by Sam, the owner, and shown into the the beautifully appointed Swallows room which looked out to the little courtyard garden and the fields beyond. The king-sized bed was very comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean and there was everything needed for my stay - including quality teas and coffees and a huge cookie! There was a large selection of items on the breakfast menu and everything I had was really delicious. Sam was a great host and I look forward to another stay at the Swallows Nest.

What a great location! And what a wonderful room, and bathroom. The breakfast is served in a separate room, very well provided and friendly. We had a great stay and would certainly recommend this B&B. Great hospitality. Lovely back garden where you can sit and relax.

My wife and I have stayed at Swallows Rest twice. Both times have been very comfortable and relaxing. Sam is a wonderful host and very attentive towards her guests. Brigstock is a beautiful village and a delight to walk around. Looking forward to our next stay.

This was our second visit to The Swallows B&B and I would recommend it to anyone, it is, without doubt, the best B&B we have ever stayed at. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and extremely comfortable and the breakfasts are excellent. Sam, the owner, made us very welcome and we look forward to staying there again.
