As you did not refund my hotel and neither you or The Lord Nelson would credit me for this 7 day stay never confirmed by you until I was debited in July, l presumed the booking was cancelled.
So can you not send me any offers or deals in the future.

Very sad because was expecting so much more. I had the beef roast dinner and to say it was garbage would be an understatement. I ate just the Yorkshire pudding which was a aunt bessey one. Beef overcooked and dry. Instant mash. 1 roast potato that was soft and squidgy 2 boiled potato's bad shapped and just bland and boring. Total waste of money and chew time. They also serve cheap off brand coke! Not worth it sadly was expecting so much better. The waitress said have you finished and took away an entire plate of food without asking how it was so clearly no care in the world. Save yourself a few quid and find a Toby Carvery.

Try The Lord Nelson - you won't be disappointed
We were welcomed warmly by very friendly staff and the staff were very helpful throughout and very polite and kind, too. We weren't able to have breakfast, as we had booked, but were offered a generous afternoon meal on arrival as compensation. The room was perfectly normal and just as we anticipated. A nice touch was the toiletries (shower gel and shampoo) which seemed of very good quality indeed. We couldn't get the pub's WIFI in our room but that wasn't a big issue. One thing that would be helpful would be instructions on what to do with the room key when you leave. Once again, it wasn't a big problem (left it in the unlocked room) but it's a thought! It was a lovely location and overall, I would be very happy to return to The Lord Nelson.

Come here for Sunday dinner, and safe to say it was the worse Sunday dinner I’ve ever had. Serving Frozen yorkshire puddings, I had the national depot of mashed potatoe on my plate, why do I need so much mash in fact why do I even need mash when I have roast potatoes. Doesn’t say on the menu that I had that it come with mash, the roast potatoes were as dry as a nuns **** beef was dry, gammon was moist but very very bland no taste to it, and to top it off I didn’t even ask for gammon lol but I couldn’t even be bothered to change it. Don’t understand how you can get a roast dinner so wrong one of the easiest meals to make and it wasn’t even busy. I’ve had a better meal at a carvery, and there’s even a sign saying home made Only decent thing I had here was a pint of Guinness, shame really as it’s a really nice old fashioned boozer.

Our second stay at the Lord Nelson. We like it for the location, as very convenient for visiting relatives in and around Brigg.
First stay was in a room at the back which was peaceful. This time we were at the front and we were disturbed until 2 am by noise outside from rowdy revellers in high festive spirit!
We had what we needed in the room for a 1 night stay. Price was higher than I hoped for bed only.

As hubby and I had worked late in the local area we both decided to have a bite to eat here before heading home. So glad we chose to eat here. On entering the pub we were given a warm welcome from the landlord who we later found out was called Bob. He was very jolly, friendly, helpful and smartly dressed. Our drinks order was taken and these were brought over to the table along with some menus. We both had the homemade soup of the day which was vegetable, very thick, creamy and extremely delicious for our starter. Hubby then had the homemade lasagne served with garlic bread, it looked and he said it tasted great. I had the gammon and all the trimmings which was cooked to perfection. All the meals were served on hot plates which we like, presented well and very ample sized portions. It was obvious that all was homemade, non of this microwave rubbish and we must pass on our compliments to the chef. We were both too stuffed to have or even share a sweet but the selection on offer looked mouth watering! The pub although not over busy had a lovely atmosphere to it, was clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. All drinks and meals were very reasonably priced and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. On finding out that they also have hotel rooms above which are reasonably priced we have planned a return visit in the near future. We can highly recommend anyone calling in here for a bite to eat or even just for a drink and look forward to returning there ourselves.

Visited the Lord Nelson for something to eat and drink on a Wednesday evening, the Guinness is always very good here and didn’t disappoint, I had the Roast Beef dinner and my wife had the Chilli and rice, both meals were excellent and service was very good, had a glass of Merlot with my meal that is served at exactly the right temperature. Definitely recommend this place for quality and value for money.
