The hotel's excellent service and varied breakfast options stand out. Its peaceful setting near an unspoiled beach and stunning coastal views add value. Clean, comfortable rooms contribute to a pleasant stay.

This was the perfect choice for a relaxing stay in a peaceful location. Fish and chips were delicious and Eggs royale for breakfast was fabulous. My room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were very polite and service spot on. The hotel is a short walk (less than 10 minutes) to an unspoilt beach and walks along the south west coastal path are easily accessible. I will be booking again!

15 of us just had the most brilliant three days at Eype's Mouth for our Team Away Days. Swimming in the sea. Having a wonderful Barbeque, organised by Syed and his team. Really tasty lunches. And a delicious sit-down dinner. But the real highlight? The warm welcome and personal attention of Syed and all his team. You can really tell this is a small, personal hotel. Not a chain. Your happiness really matters to them. I loved it. We will be back.

We stayed here to explore the area (mostly walking) and to be near the sea. The hotel offers standard and superior rooms, some of which have been partly or fully refurbished by the owner. The hotel is not far from the A35 and is near the sea, but to access it you have to travel down a very narrow and rather twisty country lane. The car park was more than adequate for the numbers of guests during our stay. The main asset of this hotel is its friendly, helpful and pleasant staff. All of the ones we met were a joy to speak to and very keen to make our stay an enjoyable one. I hope they appreciated our thanks to them, as the service we received was second-to-none. The food here was excellent, both at breakfast and lunch/dinner. The breakfast menu is extensive and my poached eggs arrived beautifully done, every time. I can only dream of achieving such perfection at home! The dinner menu prices are reasonable and the 'Purbeck' ice creams they serve are exceptionally delicious. Where the hotel is slightly let down is the uneven standard of the rooms. The bed size in double rooms varies from room to room - some 4' 6" double, some king size and some Super king. Bed size is important to us, and a 'standard' 4' 6" double bed is actually inadequate for our needs. It would be helpful if the hotel informed its guests in advance, at the time of booking, what bed size they will be sleeping in. The second negative item, which stopped me giving this establishment 5 stars, was the unreliable hot water supply. Depending on the time of day and the usage level, the hot water could be either 1: barely warm, 2: just about warm enough or 3: scalding. Having it too hot is not a problem as you can always blend it with cold to give a comfortable shower temperature, but not warm enough is simply unacceptable. Guests come-and-go at all hours, and a dependable supply of hot water should be available 24/7. So, to sum up, an interesting place to stay but not without its problems.

What an amazing place to stay , staff so welcoming , Especially Amelia and abby , and Nathan the chef is second to none his food was fantastic !! the breakfast poached eggs were perfection best food i’ve had in a while when eating out !! Thank you all . The room was lovely recently refurbished, huge bed , nice view of the sea and surrounding fields . Room was lovely and warm actually too hot for me . my only criticisms is that there’s no blind on the toilet/bathroom window , so with the light on people in the car park would see in when your showering so a blind in there would make it perfect . 😀 nice to sit in the bar area in front the nice warm open fire to just relax and chill out . plenty of places to sit and eat a choice of the conservatory or the main dining room to eat. our evening meal was starter garlic mushrooms on toast , my main was the chicken roulard with spinach and a little foundant potato . my partner had steak and chips also cooked perfectly , then pudding was chocolate brownie with ice cream . Always walked by this place and fancied going in but never have , so please my fiancé booked it for a surprise night away. thank you all for a lovely time . we will return in the future .

We had the pleasure of returning for our second New Years Eve celebration evening. This time we were with family friends (a group of 9) and had a brilliant time. Starting off in Admirals bar for drinks and chatting to the other guests whilst being entertained by a magician. The 7 course tasting menu created by Head Chef Nathan was delicious, we were not rushed nor did the time drag. We even had a game of “find someone who….. bingo” which got all of the guests talking - a brilliant idea! The first time I looked at my watch it was 11:30 so it was soon time to see in the New Year with a glass of fizz and some tunes to dance the night away. This time we stayed the night. A lovely comfortable room on the first floor. Plenty of choice for breakfast served by Jak and Ridoy. A very smiley and helpful pair! Thank you to all of the staff who worked over the bank holiday, especially Abbie and Syed. We had a fabulous time and will return.

Ive given a 4* review and not a 3* as the hotel was very accommodating and eventually changed our booking to another day following a travel warning during a storm. When we arrived they kindly up graded us, possibly because there was a wedding party and the room was further away from late night festivities. The room was lovely with a sea view and nicely decorated but the shower was HORRENDOUS. With no water pressure it was like standing under a dripping tap... We booked a table for a celebration meal and was asked to submit our request from the set menu by 4pm. I could see nothing on the menu which I would enjoy or could eat due to my diet so I asked the receptionist if there was an alternative menu but was assured that there was not. Having ordered food which I knew I would not enjoy I was very disappointed that evening to see two other parties at the restaurant, all enjoying food which was not on the set menu. When I asked about this I was told that I could have selected from the main menu and the receptionist would be told of this error. This did not help o know as the evening meal was spoilt for me and a waste of food and money. On leaving the next day I was asked if we had a pleasant stay and I raised the menu again but got the impression that this disappointment was not logged.

We returned to Eypes Mouth Hotel for the NY Package that we have thoroughly enjoyed over the years; this year was no exception. We stayed in one of the recently created ground floor bedrooms which was great! Whilst the weather precluded it, we could have partaken of the hot tub on our own verandah!! 👍😊. Food and service throughout our 3 day stay was excellent - nothing too much trouble. The atmosphere was warm and friendly NY Eve began with aperitifs and canapés during which a close quater magician (Alfie) literally worked his magic! We were enthralled and mystified - brilliant 👏. We were further entertained throughout the evening. The menu for the evening delivered sumptuous pleasure with each course and drew unsolicited vocal praise from many on the night. We'll done Syed, Abbie, Nathan and team!!
