I desperately wanted to award a 5* review as the staff are so wonderful - warm, welcoming and just lovely people. The hotel itself is attractive, comfortable and well-run and overall we had an excellent holiday. I've sadly deducted a star for the following reasons. Firstly, the beach area is more suited to surfing and the sea is usually too rough for swimming. Of course, the hotel has no control over this but one of the 2 swimming pools is more ornamental than ideal for swimming and both pools are only 3ft 6ins deep and so are again not ideal for adult swimming. The hotel does have an agreement with a beach club just a mile up the coast where guests can spend 5 hours on a truly calm and beautiful Caribbean Sea beach. We wish we'd made more of this facility. Secondly, we found the food options were disappointingly unimaginative. The hotel has 3 restaurants, one of which opens only 3 evenings a week. Most meals are shared between the other 2 restaurants but for most meals the options were chicken or grilled fish plus either a lamb or pork dish accompanied by rice, mac & cheese and steamed mixed veg. Everything was perfectly edible but just a bit samey and sometimes I found myself eating the same for lunch and dinner. Chris' excellent huge homemade burgers at lunchtime were a welcome alternative and normally we never eat burgers!! Finally I would warn that there are lots of stairs from ground floor to Reception and the main restaurant and quite a few trips hazards around the grounds. These could be an issue for those less fit. Back to the staff though. The service levels and friendliness here are the best we've experienced anywhere and they more than make up for any negatives. A huge thank you to them all.

We have just returned from the Savannah Beach & Spa hotel - unfortunately due to no fault of the hotel and entirely TUI we were not aware it was coming to the end of their main tourist season - that being said the hotel exceeded our expectations on a number levels - firstly the hotel approx 100 rooms I would describe has a boutique hotel - the rooms are very spacious - ours had a walk in shower and had maid service every day - number of eateries including two A LA Carte both worth a visit others buffet style - due to the time of season only a couple of bars were open mainly Drifters Beach bar all day and most evenings other was Rachael’s both offering a vast range of cocktails and even if they didn’t have one you liked the menu they found the recipe on the internet and duly made it. That brings us to the staff - each and every member of the staff went beyond the call of duty to ensure everyone enjoyed their stay with nothing being to much trouble for them - they even handled the odd demanding (rude) customer in a very professional manner - location is on the beach which is superb only let down was the sea**** - which was excessive and prevented getting into the sea - that being said within 10/15 walk on the beach there is Browns Beach which was for some reason seemed to be sea**** free and ideal to swim / snorkel inn without any problems - biggest attraction being the Race Horses taking the daily morning swim between 6am - 8am definitely a sight to see and get involved with - with the horses swimming quite a way out before retuning looking like they were enjoying every minute. All in all would certainly recommend the Savannah Beach and Spa hotel - we will certainly be returning in the future after speaking with both the Hotel Manager and Head Chef during which they highlighted their future plans for inves**ent into new facilities to enhance their guests stay which sound amazing- thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our Anniversary/ Birthday Celebrations extra special.

The property was very clean but the alcohol hurt my stomach both times I had it. Dining was limited and for late night arrivals there’s not even a vending machine open past 8pm. Staff advised to not walk the streets at night so you might go to bed hungry. The beds only have a single sheet on them no comforters. Good water pressure though unlike Accra.

The Savannah Beach Resort exceeded all expectations with its exceptional service. From the warm welcome at check-in with Theresa setting the bar to the highest standard, and the personalized attention throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure every need was met promptly and with a smile Their dedication to customer satisfaction truly made our experience extraordinary. We can’t wait to return and indulge in their unparalleled hospitality once again. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway filled with attentive care and genuine warmth.

I had not eaten all day and the restaurant was fully booked. They said I would have to wait for everyone to be served before I could order to go and then told me the only thing I wanted ( cheese plate) was not available. The buffet the next day was unappealing and expensive so I didn’t eat there.

My experience at the Savanna Hotel in Barbados was mixed. The rooms, especially the showers, were disappointing, resembling outdated conditions with rusted fixtures and cracked tiles. While the AC in one room worked, the other required five days for maintenance since my check-in on the 24th. Service varied among staff, with some being helpful and friendly, but others in need of an attitude readjus**ent. The all-inclusive food service lacked diversity, primarily centered around pork, and there was minimal consideration for dietary needs. The daily menu remained unchanged. As an early riser, I faced challenges with the lack of coffee, water, and beverages before 7:30 am or even later. Accessing coffee required climbing five flights of stairs, and it wasn’t promptly available. Surprisingly, the hotel lacked room service, a departure from my experiences in other Caribbean hotels. On a safety note, the floors were excessively slippery; my son, recovering from a football injury, slipped and fell with no assistance available. Overall, while the Savanna Hotel has no merits, improvements are needed in various aspects to enhance guest experience and safety. In our rooms there were sights of cockroaches the place was very unsanitary.

Excellent beach front and pool. Nice property. There were surprise expenses that somewhat tarnished an otherwise excellent stay.

It was convenient for us cause most of the time was a 10minute drive, transportation is expensive and there is a lot of hidden fees

This is a beautiful hotel. It's a little on the pricey side. It comes with a mini refrigerator and a kettle only. The room is average. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had dinner at Rachel's but it wasn't to my likeness.
