This old pub is steeped in history and is a delight to visit. The staff and friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious. We had local asparagus with hollandaise to start with - delightful. Followed by hake, fettuccine and ham and asparagus - we were 4 very happy customers. The drinks and food were very reasonable. Highly recommended- we will come again.

We went to this pub after a day at Weston Arboretum, we had booked in advance and chosen our meals to help them out . We arrived and drinks outside before venturing in for our meals . The waitress showed us to the area where we were to sit and found it to be made up of three tables . We said we had ordered prior to arriving where she said the menu had changed and a number of the meals were not available, stating that the menus are dealt with by others not the staff locally . Not best pleased at that but recovered and we all ordered and shortly it stated to arrived . One of the meals was the lamb which was un able to eaten due to the amount of fat on the little meat there was . The other meals were so so , overall won’t rush back to this place although a lovely old pub they need to sort the food out .

My best friend held her wedding reception here and it could not been a more perfect setting. The barn where it was held was beautiful, and the staff were amazing and helpful throughout. The food was so tasty and filling. Highly recommend this for any function or just a meal out in a stunning locations and historic building

We’re a large group of 10 out to celebrate and were part of the harmony workshop running in the barn the following day, so we needed to be well fed to maintain good energy levels! The food was superb! We all thoroughly enjoyed everything, great service too - couldn’t ask for more

We went to the Taste and Tour, which gave us a two course meal with a drink, and a historical tour by the landlord Nigel, for a reasonable £36 a head. The pub was tastefully decked for Christmas with myriad fairy lights and candles, and crackers on the tables. The food was really excellent, and we learned a lot about the history of the pub from 1400 to the present day, and some of the artifacts inside. Well done to the waiting staff too..

Lack of customer awareness Staff only interested in each other Serving a meal on a piece of wood when you have a sensory / cognitive disability not great & feeling like you’re a burden when asking for a plate. A glass of wine over £7.00, really! On the positive, food was fine & if you are after a quirky olde English pub then this is for you.

Revisit to my childhood/teenage village. A visit to the Fleece was lovely. A quaint little pub. Friendly staff. Delicious hot chips. The toilets were very clean and provided hand cream too. A beautiful venue within a Cotswold village. Don’t think I appreciated growing up here!!

An excellent meal, and we enjoyed the pub atmosphere, followed by a drink outside in the sunshine in the lovely gardens. We ate in the evening, and although there was a private celebration in the barn, this in no way detracted from the service. Perfect thanks.
