Unfortunately, this is the worst hotel for service and value we have ever stayed in and we travel a lot for business and pleasure. We booked a luxury double room with sea view and balcony. It was not cheap. My husband had stayed at this hotel before, under the previous owners, but only had a double rear facing room. He said his room was better than our luxury double. It looked nothing like the photo on the website. We queried this and were then offered another room. However, the air conditioning was shocking. The Manager tried to clean the filter in our sink when he realised there was an issue with it. No offer to change room though. You are given 1 medium towel each and a flannel. We asked for more towels and we were given 2 but they were removed the next day by the housekeepers and not returned. You are given 1 shower gel in the shower and at the sink. No shampoo, conditioner etc is provided. The room was not luxurious and it was not a cheap room - very overpriced. The breakfast is fine if you like bread and pastries but the offer of a cooked breakfast was very poor - overcooked and dry. We hired bikes which only worked intermittently until we realised they had not connected the battery correctly. We had to pay an extra 50 euros to check out at 1pm and then were locked out of our room at 12pm so had to go down and get the key reinstated. The girls on the front desk were not helpful or good at customer service bar the girl studying for her business degree. She will go far. We broke a glass and told reception first thing in the morning to tell the housekeeper. When re returned the bedroom had been cleaned but the glass left all over the floor. It was this girl that took the time and effort to bring a vacuum up and clean it as the housekeepers had already left for the day. Our last night in Vlissingen we stayed at De Gevangentoren Suite for a very similar price but the luxury of that place is amazing. The difference between the 2 was astonishing We could not fault it. If you want to stay in Vlissingen then choose to stay there and not the Fletcher Hotel which is overpriced and very disappointing.

Lovely hotel. Very good staff accommodating. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. However out in sticks but we really appreciated the quiet and tranquility of the complex. Twin beds not good for honeymoon. Groom protested! Even with joining up beds miles away for a kiss and a hug. Staff really friendly. George barman young lad so friendly and loved our group staying there. Food good. Lots of choice. Took a while to do coffee machine. Kept getting frothy milk for latte no coffee but got there in end. Lovely nature around us. We'll kept gardens, local heron. Loved the swinging chairs beside koi carp pond. Very relaxing. A perfect honeymoon. Tjankyou you made our holiday . Decorated our room with bunting champagne and balloons.

The staff is very friendly. The interior is beautiful classic and comfortable. There is a lounge with a bank, chairs, a large table, a record player and a library with exchange/lease books. The hotel has no dining room and/or bar. In the lounge you can take drinks and snacks on the room number. The breakfast is fresh (except the juice of orange) and extensive. Very good for us. Gluten free was approached seriously and carefully, and in the morning they came to carry it spontaneously. That personal touch is very pleasant. We had a luxurious room with a terrace in the side building, and we did not find it; and we did not find it obeyed (the others were on the t**** floor, and they found it obeyed, and the staff were in the boxes at morning). There was a tape on the floor. Our luminous room had a beautiful and nice bathroom with shower and bathroom and fehn. Fridge, safe with box. Very beautiful accessories everywhere. The whole room had plaveys in wooden profile. We read about lovely beds everywhere, but we all found them too hard, but that is personal. Beds for longer people a little short (2m). The terrace: a small plate around with screws. There is a table and two chairs, behind the parking lot. The hotel is surrounded by a nice park garden and there are state-of-the-art villas with large gardens. The evening calls the forest; the morning the merl. The hotel is 10 minutes' walk from the centre and you can find it Parking free.

Perfect hotel voor sluis te bezoeken . Wij hebben er 2 nachten verbleven en vonden het een zeer geslaagd verblijf. En zoals overal lezen we negatieve recensies maar nu ik er geweest ben vind ik ze een beetje overroepen allemaal . Het kan inderdaad een opknapbeurt gebruiken . Maar stoort me totaal niet aangezien alles netjes en proper wordt gehouden. Al dat gezeur over Engels pratend personeel stoort me ook niet . Aangezien onze jonge mensen zich te goed voelen om te werken . Personeel receptie ,restaurant en ontbijtruimte doen alle moeite om je thuis gevoel te geven . Ik raad het dus ook aan als je sluis wil bezoeken .

We waren met 3 koppels op fiets 3 daagse. Heel leuke locatie, mooi uitzicht ! Mooie ruime kamers met zicht op het Veerse meer, uniek .... maar niet netjes gepoetst , bad was nog vettig van vorige bezoeker (we zijn dan maar dreft en sponsjes gaan kopen om het deftig te reiningen) . Vrienden van ons sliepen op een kamer waar de matras volledig doorgezakt was, de hele nacht geen oog dicht gedaan , als we de dag nadien naar een andere matras vroegen gingen ze kijken wat ze konden doen .... nisk dus ! Bij het ontbijt waren het witte en bruine brood heel leker . Dekleine broodjes waren voorgebakken en veel te hard . Weinig variatie in vers fruit. Bij het onthaal de 1ste dag en bij het uitchecken te laatste dag hadden we een vriendelijke dame maar daar tussenin dames die er niet veel zin in hadden. Het personeel hangt maar wat rond .... waar we gewoon zijn van in Zeeland altijd heel vriendelijk ontvangen en bediend te worden was het nu heel wat minder. Goede parking en goede berging voor de fietsen . Jammer dat een hotel met zo mooie kamers en locatie niet meer energie steekt om alles tip top in orde te brengen.

The hotel is located in a nice street in Vlissingen, park is enough nearby, but just a minute before the hotel arrange a parking card. We were sleeping in the family room, with another family room next to us, in the other room next to us we had a family with young children who were not in their interests, then the rooms were too responsive, this was very annoying for my family. ( this was in the evening when everyone goes to sleep) The hotel is certainly a recommender for you if you want to stay in Vlissingen
