The hotel is located on the nearby road to the centre, so comfortable to visit the city, walking. The informal and tendency-based environment has been voted on the modern approach to the offer of services. The room is not very large and has essential furniture that is comfortable for one night. Clean room. Adequate and clean bathroom.

GGuest User 2022.08.04
I chose to stay at the Centro Paolo VI when I booked a trip to Italy at short notice, inspired by the good reviews on Trippadvisor. My experience was predominantly positive. Room was clean, with good air-conditioning. The furnishings were simple. The bed was, perhaps, a little too firm for my taste, and a bit low for a bloke with a bad knee. :-) Lighting in the bedroom might have been a bit brighter. The bathroom was clean, although, as mentioned by some other reviews, the shower was a bit tight. The building is a bit of a mixture. In part, it is a grand baroque palace, but other parts are much more functional. It has clearly been in institutional use for a long time. I gather that, before taking on its present function in 1975, it had been a seminary. It remains a church foundation, and functions mainly as a conference centre, offering meeting rooms for far more more people than it could accommodate overnight. Its lifts, as remarked in some less positive reviews, are decidedly old-fashioned but were perfectly adequate to get me and my luggage up and down, which is, after all, the only thing you need a lift to do. So far as food is concerned, breakfast was served in buffet style, with staff bringing coffee or tea to guests at their tables. Weather permitting, breakfast can be eaten outside in the garden. What was less helpful about the very obvious conference centre purpose was the situation about evening meals. For the first four evenings of my stay, I ate in the restaurant. Choice was a bit limited, but the food was tasty and served by a friendly waiter. On the fifth night, a Sunday, I cheerfully set off to the restaurant, only to find it closed. Not only is it always closed on Sundays, it was now closed for a summer break until 28 August! This is NOT notified on the web site, nor any any notice displayed in the building. This may make perfect sense for a conference centre in a period when nobody is arranging conferences, but is awkward for holiday accommodation. The building is in a quiet area, but is served by buses on neighbouring streets. Brescia's complex one-way system means that, for example, the 12 from the station stops one street away at the front, but the bus going towards the station stops a couple of streets to the rear. It is only about 5 minutes' walk to the biggest cultural site of the city, the Santa Giulia Museum, and other places of interest are within walking distance. Staff were invariably friendly and helpful. Incidentally, if you are going by car, booking directly with the institutions gets free parking in a safe, enclosed yard.

We were welcomed immediately by the girl at the reception that was really good to give us all the explanations needed for the two days and on how to move to get to the center, cave parking included in the very convenient price, hotel in a good location to get to the center walking (20-25 minutes) and 100 meters from the metro stop that brings you directly to the center in 10 minutes, good and abundant breakfast even if the 1 January were not present because the cornets were to that who said the servant the bakery was not open that day (I can't see why they were not seen that we paid as the other days), this was the only bad note, spacious room with a so large and full bathroom (we had Sky in the room), perhaps a refreshment of the rooms would not be bad, as they are a little date but well equipped.

I was sorely disappointed with this property. I totally agree with a recent review: the rooms at this new property are entirely TOO HOT and UNCOMFORTABLE. Even when booking the hotel, I was met with complications, regulations and stupidity. On a prepaid reservation via Hilton Honors, one of my primary credit cards had been recently changed/deactivated and I tried valiantly to get the problem rectified, only to have the hotel email a form attached that required a written authorisation, plus identification to be scanned/faxed back to the hotel. I didn’t have access to a scanner/fax on the road. After several calls via Hilton Honors desk to the property, sanity prevailed and was able to verbally give the proper active credit card over the phone to the hotel. Upon arrival, the room was like an oven at 28c (82F). I opened the windows (they only open up about 8cm (3in) in the hope that things might cool down after I had gone out sightseeing in Brescia for a few hours. By evening, it had only “cooled” to 25c (77F) – and this was at 9:00PM. I rang the front desk to see if something could be done. I took matters into my own hands, going directly to reception, requesting a room that was not on the sunny side. I was told nothing was available on the opposite side. Mind you, this hotel with over 135 rooms was far from busy and all they would say is that regulations prohibit air-conditioning being turned on this time of year [April] however, the hallways of the hotel were cooler than the room itself (all reception would say is that the halls are ”inside”, and thus cooler). And like a clueless robot, reception repeated, “open the window, open the window” (the ones that only open a few cms/inches) The new room was a “cooler” 24c (75F). Needless to say, I didn’t have a restful night in my sauna of a room – with windows open, and the noise of outside street traffic & pedestrians. I managed to squeeze in a few hours sleep due to pure exhaustion, waking up tired & irritable. The buffet breakfast was small & cramped, the food palatable from the small choices available. Oh yeah, one minor thing I've noted: in both rooms, there were heavy metal tissue holders in the bathroom, but no tissues - either the hotel is poorly managed, or they are too cheap to provide tissues (Kleenex). This is my first (and last) trip to the Brescia Doubletree - what a bunch of dopes!

Avevo letto delle recensioni molto interessanti. Ottima colazione abbondante, ristorante, belle stanze, moderno... Camera all'ultimo piano. Media grandezza. Ritornava sempre a quella preimpostata.

GGuest UserThe hotel, a few minutes walk from the station along the underground passage, is located directly at the exit. The staff is friendly and courteous, the rooms are nice, equipped with every comfort and above all, totally soundproofed. The window of my room on the 10th floor looked directly onto the tracks and I didn't hear a sound, not only at night, but also when the normal and intense circulation of trains resumed. Furthermore, the price is unbeatable considering the quality of the structure and the strategic position, convenient first and foremost for the station, but also for the centre, reachable in 15 minutes on foot.

GGuest UserWe stayed here because the other place we were at was completely unacceptable. When I called to check on a room, ”Enzo” took great care of us. He put us in a king suite. It was clean and every necessity was there. We were there in winter, so we didn't use either of the pools, but we did get a good meal at the attacked Indian restaurant. Thank you Enzo.

Torneremo sicuramente!

I speak a bad language, but communication with staff was comfortable, staff was kind. The breakfast is normal - chips, bakers, several cuts, juices, tea, coffee ... In the room there are all toilet facilities. The windows went out to the yard - noise from the street was not, but inside I seemed a little noisy. And next to the room was a technical room and from the morning there was a rolling room.
