Ok, so I’m loyal long time Marriott customer but lately the prices have gone through the roof so I have started to use Moxy and can happily say a breath of fresh air, small rooms but no issue, very friendly relaxed, good selection of drink, limited but good fast food, lots of places to work alone - great hit

Two night stay as part of a road trip. Chosen for location and value. First time at a Moxy property and we were impressed, very relaxed service and everywhere was clean and felt well cared for. Lovely room and bathroom and was well laid out. Reception areas and lounge feel very relaxed and the food and drinks are reasonably priced, great value, and tasted great. Area is a business type, industrial district but has a cool vibe, free street parking a bonus. Will choose Roxy again as a brand.

My wife and I are big fans of Marriott Hotels and have used them for years. They have always delivered quality service and as is the case for any good name brand, customers know what to expect. We had never tried one of Marriott’s newer hotels in the Moxy chain, and on a recent visit to Bremen decided to give Moxy Bremen a try. It was our first and will be our last visit to any Moxy for several reasons. Good and bad, here’s my take: - The hotel seems to be very well located for attracting business travellers. It’s right in the middle of an extensive office complex and this serves to support the hotel quite well. For the vacationer, however, it isn’t good: just too far from the attractions in the city center. - The rates are truly reasonable, an advertised rate of 83 euros. This no doubt accounts for the small rooms but there comes a point where a room can be so small that it is unpleasant to stay in. - The breakfast buffet was okay and there is a limited selection dinner options served at the bar. It was raining so hard we had to make do with these basic items. The dinner options did not include any vegetables, salads or fruits. - The room was achingly small. The miniscule size of the room created all kinds of compromises. Example: there was no clothes closet. Just a piece of wire mesh, hooks attached to the wall and four clothes hangers. There might have been more hangers, but the room was just too small. - The hotel only opened some 3 years ago, yet the beds were sagging in the middle and provided little support. - Public places are laced with English painted on the walls declaring that this place is cool. Well, I have news: places and things that are cool never have to say it. They just are. The ones that brag about it never are. - We arrived in the pouring rain and there is no entrance from the parking lot into the hotel. - My wife ran around the hotel to go to the front desk and get us checked in. She is greeted by a moody employee who should never be the first point of contact in any hotel. The other employees were very nice. - As well, the splattering of English painted onto everything supports something which in my view is not at all positive: the anglicization of the German language. Everywhere you go in today’s Germany you are bombarded with English words and phrases. It’s just my personal view, but I don’t think it respects the German language one iota and is a trend that shouldn’t be supported. German is a great language and doesn’t need to be propped up by English terms that in context frequently don’t work all that well anyway. - The elevators are playfully painted in a bright outrageous octopus motif. Kids probably love it. But as I’m heading up to my room for a good night’s sleep this image doesn’t help. - Our room seemed to be very clean, except for the sheets which had been washed but some kind of black plastic specks were stuck onto one of the bed sheets. Very nice hotel. Wether you are in a mood or not this hotel makes you smile in every way. Staff is friendly and the rooms are accommodating. No mini bar or coffee amenities. However this is not common in Germany any way. Nice breakfast. Good value for money hotel.
