Positives The staff of the hotel were really cooperative and helpful. We went as a group of 8 family and friends. I had got an email sent to say we might arrive too late for dinner and to keep us some vegetarian food which they did. We kept asking for hot water from the bar which they provided politely. We asked the restaurant if they had vegetarian pizzas and they gave us a separate plate for all of us. Another night they made a risotto for us especially and the last night they made us some roasted Mediterranean vegetables served individually plus plates of pasta. We asked for a takeaway breakfast which they provided as we were leaving before their regular opening time plus opened a little earlier for us to just have hot tea/coffee and croissants. The hotel was right on the beachfront and many of the rooms overlooked the Riveria. We enjoyed a great long walk along the very well kept beach and safe paving. Negatives There were no kettles in the rooms. We like to have regular teas/herbal teas and hot water to drink. There was absolutely no entertainment in the evenings for adults. If the weather had not been so bad it wouldn't have mattered but as it had been raining incessantly and we were not able to leave the hotel some facilities/entertainment would have helped. The hotel was a little far from the main scenic towns so with the incessant rain we could not explore anything.

The Pros of this hotel: The staff are lovley and on the whole very helpful. It is on The Beach, which has amazingly clear water, it is slightly shingly and sun beds and umberells are quite expensive. You can purchase sponge mattresses for 12-16 euros very handy. The rooms are clean and towels are changed almost daily if you want them. The food is of good quality and varied, but sometimes cold a Microwave or two would allow a person to re- heat their food if required, waiters pleasent and tables are cleared quickly. Animation team are great but as most activities take place in the sister hotel you have to make enquiries as to times and locations, when you can find them. You can drink the tap water without any problems a bonus. The Hotel setting is in amongst Pine trees and is beautiful and views from the balcony the same. Cons: The landings are very old fashioned in design and resemble a prison. Their are several blocks and for the first two days we got lost trying to locate our room but there are plenty of lifts. The dining room is the same hard wooden chairs and very crowded and noisy. No tea or coffee machines are available with the evening meal and if you request some water you must puchase bottled which, as with all the drinks is costly. There are 65 steps to the beach and by the time you reach the final flight on a hot day you are knackered and need to sit down. All in all you get what you pay for.

Reception staff friendly but not welcoming Hotel very dated and is a budget hotel for the area. Breakfast choices were good, but bread seemed a little stale, coffee was exceptionally strong. The presentation of the food wasn’t appealing. Reminded me of a school canteen. I was glad I didn’t choose full board at the hotel as the dining area had no atmosphere. The woman taking room numbers at the entrance couldn’t even crack a smile. Big shout to Nena our lady who cleaned the rooms, she was so happy smiley and friendly. She did amazing job! We had a great view from our room. However, the bed was very creaky and uncomfortable Air con wouldn’t cope with height of season Patio door didn’t lock None of the rooms have kettles which is disappointing but they do have a fridge. If you have mobility issues do not stay here as it’s not accessible to the beach unless you can go up and down the stairs without an issue. If I come back I’ll stay next door in the sister hotel. As we met others who highly recommended the maestral..

Great location, friendly staff on the whole. Food had was the buffet breakfast. Fresh omelettes if required. Plenty to choose from otherwise. Cooked, continental, cereal, all perfectly adequate. Restaurant does get busy but if timed well no issues. Sister hotels in close locality to use pool, recreational areas etc. Very close to the beach. Elderly and those of poor mobility however please note the beach and access to other hotels is down and up lot of steps. Room service, perfect every day. Our only points would be that the hotel seems a little tired and maybe in need of a touch up in certain areas. Our room as an example had evidence of a resolved damp / leak issue. Stained, flaking painted walls. Lift in our block broke down on day 5 but no mobility issues so not a major concern for us but could have been for those less mobile. Only other thing to be aware of is that for some reason the hot water seems to be turned off mid afternoon, possibly overnight too. We showered late afternoon most days after the beach and it was cold. Similar on departure day, getting up very early to a cold shower. Not ideal before travelling. All in all though a great budget stay. Travellers note the hotel and in fact general area, seems pretty focussed on our German colleagues.

Hotel needs serious renovation. I booked two rooms: standard and superior. There was no difference, even standard room was better ( in the superior everything was broken - balkony door, shower etc.). But location is perfect and the beach is amazing. Dinner at 8 pm?! Too crowded.

Visited in august 2023. The reception helped us park the car since the parking lot was full. Parking is 5€ per night. The standard of the hotel is dated and need a renovation. Since it’s one of the cheapest hotels in the area it’s acceptable but don’t expect much. The dinner is good, simple but good. Very fresh vegetables and they’re varying the food from day to day (dinner). Breakfast is really good with many options as well as a lot to offer. The dining area however has no acoustic what so ever. You will hear plates and shatter all over the area and a “private” meal isn’t possible. Recommend to eat in 15 minutes and then go for a drink on the beach walk. The biggest pro for the hotel is the location, some steps from the public beach that you’ll reach in 3 minutes.

This is the tenth time we have stayed in this hotel, which in itself speaks for its quality. The location is very good. The hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help at any time. The food is excellent and without any restrictions. Wi-Fi is excellent. Parking is available and not free.

Everyone’s expectations vary, but here is my honest review of this hotel and the area. We have just returned from our holiday here. On arrival, it was late and the staff at reception were very helpful in that we were shown to our room and food was kindly provided in our room. This was lovely after a long day travelling. The food at the hotel was nice both at breakfast and in the evening. It offered a variety to cater for many nationalities staying at the hotel. Staff worked really hard in the dining areas at all times. The restaurant itself is more like a canteen. In the evening it is quite chaotic and we often found it difficult to find a table. Guests are walking in all directions with food and we found mealtimes to be a stressful experience rather than a relaxing one. No one seemed to queue and it was absolutely crazy busy at times and getting busier. If you leave it later to go to breakfast or dinner, the restaurant does close on time. We were surprised that there are no drinks available at evening meal times, not even water. You could buy them but it was surprising that there was no water at all. We did take our own in with us because of this. The hotel itself is very clean. Our room was basic but cleaned daily. The hotel reminded us of a clinical setting with no ambience. Staff were hard working at all times. They were helpful if you needed anything but I wouldn’t say particularly friendly. There is no pool or entertainment (only for children) but there are nearby hotels who provide this. The Soline can be used for blue sun marina guests at 10 euros per person per day if you’d like to use a swimming pool. Ok, here is the best bit. Location is beautiful with a lovely view of the pine trees and beach with lovely birdsong. The beach at Punta Rata is beautiful and we we’re not worried about the lack of pool at the hotel as there were lovely little inlets where you could sit with your beach stuff and enjoy the crystal waters. The scenery, view and area is gorgeous. It is very clean and there are lots of little shops and restaurants dotted along the beach line. We noticed the visitors here are from various countries and not predominantly English and we are sure this is a favourite place too for many Croatians. We loved the cosmopolitan vibe. There is something for everyone here and lots of children’s playgrounds and water sports facilities dotted around. It is a very tidy and clean place and all in all, stunningly beautiful. We also felt very safe. We would definitely return to this resort but probably a different hotel. One other point to note about the hotel, is that there are lots of steps at the back to get to the beach. Those with mobility issues may find this difficult. Beware the ladies selling dresses along the beach. They are lovely ladies and lovely dresses but they are very persuasive. I did buy one which you need to reach an agreement on price which was cheaper than the shops. All Italian made and very pretty. I could write fore
