A Perfect Day at The Bedingfeld Arms! What a truly wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, The Bedingfeld Arms delivered exactly what we were hoping for—and more. Nestled in a charming location, it felt like a gentle escape into the countryside, with just the right mix of warmth and ease. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. We lingered over our meal, not wanting it to end! The rooms were just what we needed: cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. It was so lovely to wake up refreshed and step out into such a peaceful setting. While some might wish for a slightly more “posh” or traditional pub feel—Tom did miss the classic old-world touches like dark walnut floors and the scent of oak smoke in the air—we both appreciated the light, airy ambiance and modern comfort. It’s clear The Bedingfeld Arms has found its own style, and it’s working beautifully. Altogether, it was a delightful, cheerful, and refreshing day, and we’re so glad we chose to spend it here. Thank you to everyone at The Bedingfeld Arms for making it so special—we can’t wait to return!

A typical English pub, we went there for dinner and the variety of dishes was not too much. My daughter is a regular customer and says that there is more variety of dishes at lunch. The food was good, but a bit expensive. The beer is excellent, so the drinks. The staff was efficient.

We meet friends here at least once a year and always found it a friendly place to eat with good food. However today it was exceptional..... We were greeted by friendly chatty staff and nothing was too much trouble. The food was the best we have eaten here with generous portions. A relaxed atmosphere in the garden which made it easier with our 2 dogs. Thank you all for a lovely lunch. We will be back soon.

The bed was very comfy but the room was small and the lighting was very dim. The bathroom was disgusting mould all over the shower area and the smell was awful. We tried to keep out of the bathroom as much as possible. There is no excuse for not cleaning properly. I did tell them about this and the reply was that they are having a refurb in the new year. Still no excuse for not cleaning properly. It was a real shame because the pub was great, with fantastic food and staff.

An overall very pleasant stay from booking via the phone to the welcome when we arrived all the way through to the great goodbye after breakfast was fantastic. Rooms are very nice and clean and spacious , the food and service in the restaurant was excellent. A couple of dishes had ran out by the time we ate at 8 o’clock but there was plenty of choice.. Wine less was very good as was the real ale.

Typically English rustic pub set in gorgeous area with village green and history surrounding it. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Very friendly and polite which made the feeling very homely. Food outstanding, shame the kitchen closed at 6 pm on Sunday. Perfect base to explore lots of Norfolk including Sandringham, Hunstanton, Swaffham, Cromer, Wells by the sea and Norwich. The Bedingfeld comes highly recommended and dogs are welcome too. I will certainly be returning.

Dreadful food, my calf's liver & bacon was burnt to a crisp on one side and the 'cook' tried to compensate his mistake by undercooking it on the reverse side which left blood oozing out of the liver - which is very dangerous. Never again at this ' restaurant' - stay away. The locals later informed us that the cook had been sacked from just about every local pub that he had been previously employed at in the Swaffham area, I could list them ....but I won't !!

Four of us recently visited for an evening meal to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious although the pork tenderloin was on the dry side. However, we have NEVER had the main course put on the table literally the moment the starter plates had been cleared. I mean seconds not minutes! It would have been nice to have had a few minutes to savor the starters, which were lovely. We felt as if we were being uncomfortably rushed at this point and yet were given plenty of time to chose and eat desert. Very strange.
