The spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms, along with friendly staff and excellent service, provide great value for money. Guests enjoy the full English breakfast but find it challenging to dine during dinner hours.

A fabulous inn located in Norfolk in a picturesque village. We stayed for one night with breakfast, excellent presented room with a comfortable bed, clean and well-appointment bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Andy and the staff were very accommodating, friendly and the service was great. We’ll definitely be returning!

Went to the Bedingfield Arms for Boxing Day lunch, the food was amazing, service good, attentive staff and great atmosphere, I would recommend this pub to anyone, in fact I can’t wait t return again, one of my favourite restaurants in the area.

The bed was very comfy but the room was small and the lighting was very dim. The bathroom was disgusting mould all over the shower area and the smell was awful. We tried to keep out of the bathroom as much as possible. There is no excuse for not cleaning properly. I did tell them about this and the reply was that they are having a refurb in the new year. Still no excuse for not cleaning properly. It was a real shame because the pub was great, with fantastic food and staff.

Sadly I wouldn’t recommend a stay here. I had received a voucher from family to stay for my birthday weekend and had noted this on the phone when making the booking but somehow they still charged me in full in advance without factoring in the voucher. When checking in I was told that the manager was away that weekend and basically no one knew how to issue a refund, but that they could take some money off the dinner bill etc (and luckily we were planning to eat there that night). Staff were friendly but seemed inexperienced and repeatedly came over during our stay with different ideas of how to take off the voucher money from our dinner and breakfast etc, and the voucher would have been more than both, and they seemed very confused as to how to do this on their system. Staff had good intentions but talking about the cost of the stay continually rather spoils a birthday! It really was made into quite an ordeal and they seemed really unsure of the maths, which is not very reassuring. We stayed in one of the outside rooms (in a sort of annexe), which was very scruffy and loud. You could hear every word and movement from the room next door and people and staff walking past the door. The rooms in the main building look much nicer. The dinner was disappointing. Our mains were fine but not great and the sticky toffee pudding was inedible and I had to leave most of it for the first time in my life! There weren’t enough waiters and we were left trying to order more drinks for a long time before we could get any attention. We noticed a similar thing for other tables. The restaurant itself and bar area are beautiful and have a nice atmosphere and decor, so hopefully we just got unlucky.

Mmmmmm…very mixed experience. Lovely setting…we went for Sunday lunch…very disappointed. My partner ordered the fish ,I ordered the pork. The fish was under cooked and sent back. I asked for apple sauce and that came with my last mouthful of pork. We did complain and the cost of my partners fish and drink was deducted from the bill. Would we go again…..no. 3/10.

Totally disappointed. We have been visiting Bedingfield for over 7 years now and sadly have watched the restaurant standards decline. The bar table areas have now become “ dining areas” which are basically furnished. We were sat at a table where I was facing a badly greasy hand marked door giving access to the disabled toilet. On being seated, it was over ten minutes before we were asked what we would like to drink but were assured a bottle of water wax being brought in the mean time However the waiting staff were more concerned with putting night light candles in glasses on the table. On taking our drinks order another long wait before our meal order was taken and when it arrived it was sadly placking in vegetables, the salad with my meal was drowned in oil. Our drinks glasses were all sticky on the outside and clearly hadn’t been washed properly. By this point we were beyond caring and made the best of what we had. We noticed that other guests were having to constantly chase for service and, to top it all, when my wife went to use the toilet, she could not use any as the flush systems were not working. She did make staff aware. Sadly not a venue we will be visiting again.

Just had a wonderful lunch there and the food was lovely and the welcome warm. Friendly and attentive staff and an inviting cosy atmosphere, thoroughly recommended. We have been before and it is usually busy, which speaks for itself. Today, we were the first in and it was nice to have it to ourselves. I had the salmon starter, followed by beef bourginon, mash and vegetables. It was superb. My wife skipped a starter and went straight for the sausage and mash, again superb. We then both had treacle tart for pudding. We will be back!

Lovely spacious clean room in beautiful character building. Sadly arrived too late to eat dinner but breakfast certainly made up for it. Andrew was a great host for breakfast and the food was really tasty and very good quality. Certainly hope to return and have dinner next time as menu looks great.
