2-Star Hotels in Braunschweig

Haben das Hotel auf unserer Durchreise gewählt u.a. Wegen der Nähe zur Autobahn. Hiervon ist auch nichts zu hören. Aber die Zimmer selber sind sehr hellhörig. Hatten eine laute Familie neben uns und das Quietschen der Metalltüren auf der Empore zur Kindersicherung hört man Zimmer weiter. Warum lässt man nicht jedes 2. Zimmer aktuell frei, wenn die Belegung eh sehr gering ist? Betten sind auch schon etwas durchgelegen und das Desinfektionsmittel hinterlässt keinen angenehmen Geruch in den Zimmern. Personal ist kaum anzutreffen, wie ausgestorben. Self Check in mit Code für die Türe gewünscht. Leider können wir das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

We already reserved a hotel room for one night at the above branch through the official website on the day of July 06, 2020 and arrived there on July 09, 2020 at around 9:30 a.m. to check in and at least drop off our luggage and find out about the to inform the city. We were therefore in vain on the way from Braunschweig's main train station to the hotel and had to lose time and travel costs unnecessarily. The receptionist mentioned also said that we had only reserved the room but not yet paid the fee and that the reservation was only valid from 2 p.m. Therefore, we would not yet be hotel guests and would not officially have permission to stay in the entrance area and check-in would also only be possible at 2 p.m. So we didn't get a city map - until we asked them for this - nor did we get any further, alternative information about our extremely helpless situation and information about where authentic restaurants in the city are located. We understand that the Corona pandemic will result in some changes in hotel operations; however, we would have wished, as a guest in the B&B hotel, to experience more understanding, courtesy and hospitality on our trip, as we already knew from another B&B branch in Göttingen, for example.

I give this hotel chain the lowest score ! We arrived at the Agoda Hotel ”Centro Hotel Celler Tor” in Braunschweig, Germany on March 7 at 23:00 p.m. at Yagodin (Ukraine / Poland) border with my wife and gender in 2 cars, we were embarked on my family The receptionist welcomed us with the circumstances of the smile, offered 3 rooms for €256. For the same choice on the hotel's website the price was €216. The receptionist therefore advised us to book online. Thing is done with online payment. All was ok. It is just the time to give us the chamber keys that he asks for a vaccination certificate. I explain to him that the French have a vaccine pass on their phone, but that in the hurry of departure my Ukrainian family will not be able to present it. This gentleman, apparently uninformed about the dramatic situation in Ukraine, has only complied with the regulation of the German hotel chain, he has categorically explained us to leave. No humanist from his side, a 3-month baby and a 80-year-old grandmother left him completely unturbable. After much insistence, we were in the street, and then on a motorway area to ”sleep” at 10 in 2 cars. The hotel has been very close to the hotel and the hotel has been very close to the hotel. One night in the car for a Babouchka, a 3-month baby, 1 2.5-year-old child and another 6-year-old child, at a temperature of -1°, for €216, no refund possible!... is the Agoda hospitality .... in Braunschweig in Germany! The hotel is a good standard hotel directly at the train station. The noise level at closed window is in order. The rooms are large enough; the equipment is in order. There is nothing to challenge in matters of cleanness! A safe in the room would be desirable and the minibar contained only one bottle of water. The staff was very friendly, but there was only one person and a longer snake at the check-in. All in all for service trips and short urban trips to be recommended.

Das Hotel bietet eine interessante Zeitreise in die Vergangenheit in die 80 er oder noch ältere Epoche. Der Trip in die Vergangenheit war ein Erlebnis. Neben einem old fashioned Bett, aber höhenverstellbaren Kopfteil, einem großen Kleiderschrank, sauberen Bad und nutzbaren Schreibtisch war schnelles WLAN verfügbar. Das Frühstück war reichlich und interessant im alten Speise- bzw. Ballsaal einzunehmen. Das Hotel befindet sich in der besten Lage in Braunschweig mit Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel. Wer Lust auf altmodisches Ambiente in zentraler Lage hat, kann sich hier einquartieren.

A beautifully maintained workshop from the 15th century. Very ury and romantic, but also with the limitations of this time. The headroom under the ceilings bars is about 180 cm - between the bars about 200 cm. The stairs to the first floor requires alpine walking safety, especially with bag. The bathroom is from the 70-ger years. I would like to highlight the breakfast room with its wonderfully painted medieval ceiling! Very fair price-performance ratio.
