I did a quick solo trip to see Dragged into Sunlight at the Stone Church. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the other guests were entertaining. 10/10.

When we walked in to the front office it smelled musty and very strong of cigarettes. When we went to find our room the people outside made us feel very unsafe, there were just standing and staring at us. If you were alone I definitely wouldn't stay here!! We were on the second floor and the balcony has soft wood and felt very unsafe to walk on. Windows to the stairs leading up had been smashed and not replaced, there were holes drilled into walls and not taken care of. Pillow cases were dirty, bed was extremely hard, room smells, the liner between the sheet and bed was full of hair, there were stains on the chairs, the list goes on. Really too much to write. One of our party came back to their door open to their room and no one from the front desk to anyone else we saw there gave a crap. They were pretty much like "Oh well! We will tell maintenance." Don't stay here!

The room I stayed in was huge! It was a wonderful night of sleep! I had driven since 8 pm the previous evening from North Carolina, arriving to where I was headed in New Hampshire about 12 pm. I was able to secure a room at this hotel around 2 pm. Because I had driven all night, I was extremely tired. When I arrived, the desk clerk, I think his name is Fritz, told me he didn’t know if my room was ready. I told him I had driven all night and he let me go ahead and check in. The room was clean, huge and the bed was so comfortable! After a nice hot shower, I went to sleep around 5 pm and slept till about 8 the next morning. It was quiet and comfortable, a perfect place to stay! I will say, I left the next morning without trying the breakfast but there was a breakfast offered.

convenient spot, clean room, friendly service, and hot breakfast buffet really hit the spot on our out way to ski and snowboard for the day. kids were excited about the pool being open but unfortunately is not well heated for use during winter months.

I stay here regularly. The rooms are always clean, the pools and hot tub are wonderful and the staff is helpful and courteous. The price is right. I highly recommend this place.

We liked the big room with the comfortable bed. Unfortunately, we got a former smokers’ room, where the tobacco smell was still noticeable, although the room was otherwise very clean. Breakfast was ok, but very sugary… We especially enjoyed the pool and small spa, which was great after a day’s hike. The staff there was very friendly and helpful, too.

OK, I'll admit that the Colonial Motel is an older hotel property and not all of its furnishings are up to date. (Some of the trim on the desk in my room was missing, as was the drawer on one of the nightstands next to my bed.) However, the bed was still very comfortable; the AC worked well and was rather quiet; and access to two indoor pools was a nice bonus. This was the first time that I had a second floor room at this property. Overall, the room was just as nice as the several first floor rooms I've used previously. The wi-fi was a bit sketchy; I recall getting better signal during my prior first-floor stays. But overall, I'd stay here again because the rooms are larger than other similarly priced hotels in the area and the room price is reasonable.
