Hotels Near Sint-Jozefskapel in Brasschaat

We are two women in our late 60's and early 70's, we were checked in after 3. We took the elevator then had to go up 6 or 7 stairs lugging our luggage. We get in our room and it was the size of a closet. I called front desk, I was ready to move hotels. We were moved to bigger room, didn't realize the smell wasn't from room not being used, it smelled like sewer gas. The staff came and smelled the room the next day and said they would give us a new room. This one was acceptable. It looked out at train station and ferris wheel. I asked the evening desk clerk a question about catching a train next day. He was very helpful and told me to stop with my info in morning so he could look at it. When I went down this morning, I was met by a young lady with dark hair and a man, Oliver, I told him I was told to stop by desk. He told me, the train station is over there, go ask them. I found most staff friendly, but Oliver rude. Also, the fact that we had to move rooms 3 times. I don't know that I would stay again.

Pillows are amazing, Wi-Fi really good and staff are one of the nicest I’ve ever met. This centrally located boutique hotel is perfect for business travel, but I’d definitely return for a leisure break. My work schedule changed and to say the team were accommodating is an understatement. In my limited free time I managed to see the central shopping area and visit the very close by old town (highly recommend ). My only ****** is that the menu for just a light snack is fairly limited. As a solo guest, I felt very secure. But for me this hotel was a solid 9/10

We have reserved this hotel using a Bongo check and we have been pleasantly surprised by this new hotel, very conveniently located within a few hundred metres from the Central Train Station in Antwerp, that provides for everything a traveller needs in terms of accommodation and is at the top of technology as it states: it's connected. The staff is very nice and helpful and we really had a great stay. I warmly recommand it. And, as a little bonus, they are very accommodating when it comes to the four paw members of our families.

Came by the other day and it was a decent experience, although with some bizarre quirks. Booked direct for the ”Executive Family Studio with Kitchen” and the front desk agent printed out a contract with a ”Deluxe Studio.” When I inquired about the difference, another employee quickly chimed in that I ”got upgraded” and my original room had no kitchen?!? As the ”Executive Studio with Kitchen” has kitchen in the name, I inquired a second time, and the employee raised her voice saying that the room was the same?!? A 3rd employee eventually came in, after reviewing their own website, and started talking about the Penthouse suite (completely irrelevant?!?). Attempted to use the laundry room located behind the secure door using my keycard and had to answer 21 questions to the front desk agent with my room number, my full name, and the company I was representing (all with a load of dirty laundry in my arms), which was completely bizarre. At 7 am, the agent claimed that someone on my floor booked a taxi?!? (also completely irrelevant?!?) The studio itself was pretty spacious, although with some quicks. For example, the bathroom was dated, unlike the pictures on the website. More importantly, it was bizarre to have a handheld shower installed on the long side of the bathtub, vs the short side?!? ...also might have been helpful to use a curved shower curtain to make showering less claustrophobic... Water pressure was usable although the shower curtain had a strange smell... Highlights of the studio included the comfortable bed, although slightly lumpy in areas, with quality sheets and towels. The kitchen itself was modern and fully stocked, including 2 bottles of water in the kitchen. The ”welcome gift” appeared to be the 2 dishwashing tablets and manual dishwashing liquid... Booking direct, the confirmation indicated that there would be a ”welcome drink upon arrival” Perhaps the 2 bottles of water in the fridge was it?!? Other anomalies included super dark lighting at night. The lighting was insufficient in the dining area, which made it quite dark to work and read in. There was a freestanding light that helped provide additional lighting in the sleeping area. It was also odd to see that the room number listed on my in room telephone was different from the one on my door?!? The laundry room was complimentary and fantastic! There was also complimentary laundry detergent. A wash takes 2-3 hours and a dry takes 1+ hour. The signage against the wall with instructions on how to use the washing machine didn't match the actual washing machine which was confusing at best...

A lovely hotel and right where you need to be if visiting Antwerp, it's ideally located near bars, restaurants, shopping and near the diamond quarter. Nice clean room with a large bed, no tea or coffee facilities but you can go upstairs to the sixth floor and use the machines (if working). The only issue I had was I needed to use the hairdryer and after about 2 minutes use it stopped working, that is the only problem I had. Would definitely use this hotel again, it's the perfect place. And before I forget I did ask a member of staff how to get to the brewery and someone else gave me directions, thank you very much am sorry I didn't get your name but it's appreciated

Citybox is a functional hotel along Molenbergstraat. It is a 10-12 minute walk from Antwerp Central Station and around 10-15 minute walk to the main sightseeing area of the city. We recently had a good multi night stay and would consider booking Citybox here in Antwerp or one of their sister properties elsewhere in Europe based on our experience. Booking was made through the Citybox website where we found best room rates. Self check-in when we arrived at the property was simple to use, smart card key was issued and we were in our room within just a few minutes. Lobby was large with comfortable and atmospheric seating. There is an eatery on the ground floor which opens early. Second floor had washing machine facility. While there is no front desk, there are staff in the office next to the lift if they are needed. Rooms are spacious with simple decor and furnishing. Bathroom was fine, shower water pressure good. Importantly, bed was generally comfortable. Lighting, heating and wifi all worked just fine. Note, the room is fairly minimalist, no TV, in room safe, kettle, hand towels and other amenities that you usually find in traditional hotels. All is fine if you know what you are getting into with Citybox. We felt, they got the important things right and offered a good stay experience for the room rates being offered and their location in Antwerp.

We booked a night. Location was good. Very beautiful hotel, clean modern room with beautiful view. Pool/Sauna facilities such as towels etc were good. Parking was free. We will surely come back. Tip(minpoint): Sometimes it is useful to have a ventilator for guests who want to use it in winter.It was just a little too hot in the room around the air-conditioning at 18.

2 rooms connected with a door was a great way to have a group of people of 5 together at all times! Both kitchens had everything you ever needed to make yourself a perfect meal. Oven/Micro, fridge, dishwasher, capsule coffee maker. Fully loaded with tools and dishes! The beds were terrific! Fluffy and smooth. The bathrooms were great, the showers had an overhead faucet and a handheld one. The pressure was perfect. The receptionists were well prepared and very pleasant, and we got all the info for a perfect stay. Only downside with having two rooms was that we couldn't figure out how to make the door between the two rooms open. So we used some clever engineering to solve this issue. We never asked about this issue, because we fixed it with a doorstopper of our own. The price for 3 night stay was very well perfect! Will definitely come back again.

a very pleasant and well situated hotel. obliging staff ensured an enjoyable visit. a well appointed room that was clean, together with a bathroom that complemented. this is mmy second visit and i have no qualms about recommending it.

The history of Castle Solhof dates back to 1414 and at one time it was surrounded by moat and castle walls, the moat and turrets of the castle still survive today. Now a hotel the present owners bought the Castle in 1990. The entrance and cobbled courtyard are very impressive, with an ornate fountain / pond and neatly pruned hedges. At check-in the receptionist did not seem at all bothered about Covid and said I should remove my mask as it was not needed, even though I had just arrived from the UK and driven through France! I had a Superior Twin Room (#19) with two large beds. The room was nicely furnished, with maybe a table too many, and I loved the tall windows over looking the front courtyard. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for its free courtyard parking and I could see my car safely from my room. I had no meal plan at the hotel so I can't comment on that. My room was very warm and I couldn't see how to control the heating, so I opened both windows! The bed was comfortable and the room clean, but I do hate a shower in a bath with a clingy shower curtain. My room was €99 booked via Expedia.
