Travelled for 10hrs to finally reach the hotel during a business trip in Europe. Although the receptionist was very welcoming, the rest of the staff were non communicational to the point of being rude, attempts to be served at the hotel bar were ignored and questions received blank stares. The room was no doubt contemporary in the eighties but was tired to look at. Cleanliness was average (guys wouldn't notice the odd hair or dust but a woman would). Bed was very comfortable however breakfast was average.

We stayed at this hotel 3 nights. Room was clean, quiet and spacious. Bathroom was excellent with a great shower! Breakfast buffet was beyond our expectations with wonderful breads, hot and cold foods and drinks! Staff were all pleasant and helpful. We would love to stay again!

positive: we had a room in the ground floor and therefore direct access outside from the patio which was comfortable as we travelled with our dog, the room had plenty of space negative: toilet urgently needs a makeover, breakfast is not as good as in other van der Valk hotels very negative: the walls are VERY thin - we found ourselves in between the rooms of a bigger group of people, who created a lot of noise in their rooms and in the hallways - we speak about until 2 am in the morning. I rang the reception twice between 1 and 2 am asking them to take care of the issue. After the 2nd call, our neighbours calmed down a little bit. However, we were not able to sleep until 2 am, even with ear plugs, due to the noise. As we left in the morning we seeked a conversation with the receptionist. She got notice from her colleague who was on duty the night before. However, he has only stated that he found no one who was noisy. Probably they think I rang the reception only to make fun at night! The receptionist gave us an apology and that was it. As a result, we didn't feel taken seriously. We will definitely not come back to this hotel as sleep is not guaranteed and customer service is not at a level we would expect.

Very nice stay. Lots of parking, love the restaurant. Serving really great food to a good late hour 7 days a week. Room was ok. Would prefer not to have totally floor to ceiling glass front to the room. You had to have the curtains closed for privacy. Which was hot apart from anything else .... and it was only 18/20 degrees outside. Would hate to be in there if it was hotter outside! Great bathroom but hairdryer didn't work. Stayed 3 nights, reported it twice including on first night, but it was never fixed or changed. Bed was comfy. Would love a kettle in the room as well/instead of just a coffee machine, so you can make tea or hot chocolate. Such a small thing. Yes you could use the coffee machine just for hot water but the water tasted strongly of coffee as obviously that's what it's always used for so not suitable. Overall comfortable and everything you needed.

I thought this would be a mom&pop style hotel on a small town. It turned out to be a beautiful full service hotel with multiple restaurants, excellent professional staff who spoke multiple languages, very clean well appointed rooms. Location is in a very exclusive area, close to safe transportation into town. Excellent value for the money and beyond.

very friendly service team and restaurant, need to book in advance of its buffet at 60 euro every day big lunch, if you are meat enjoyer.
