Have stayed here before but stopped off for coffee and lunch on the way back from the lakes. I can honestly say it was the best Sunday lunch we have eaten in a pub for a long time. Flavoursome, fresh and cooked with skill and care. The service was excellent very polite and attentive. Would recommend the Howard arms and we will be back.

Excellent festive menu, great atmosphere with open fires. Service is great, very polite staff , although it was busy, no delay to being served. Food was excellent, all very well presented and tasted amazing. Will definitely be back again, great place to go

Fantastic 2 night stay. All the staff were really friendly and efficient. The food was amazing, interesting and delicious. A good selection of drinks, we tried the real ales and the Guiness was perfectly served. A fabulous ambiance. We'll be back!

Very cosy! Great deal it was steak night!, friendly and very Christmassy which is nice this time of year xx and the food was lovely! We sat near the fire which made it a little more special. It was busy too which I think adds atmosphere and speaks volumes about a place! Woukd recommend We are staying 2 nights and the breakfast was fab too! Hot plate …. Bravo this always means a hot brekkie which on a day that starts at -1 outside is well needed xxx

Had a great stay food was excellent and the staff couldn’t do enough for you the breakfast was fanatic we did a travel zoo two night stay what value but you can book directly and get the same deal would definitely recommend and we will certainly go back thank you Ruth you have a great team and it was nice talking to you

Had been to the Howard arms previously and like it so much we decided to book a room and come back. Spent a really pleasant evening, the meals and drinks were very good and all the staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and as dog lovers being able to bring the dogs with us was great too. Will definitely come again

Thank you for such a wonderful Christmas meal today for 29 - we really appreciated the hospitality and the food was exceptional, everyone really enjoyed this. All the staff were attentive, the fire was roaring, we couldn't have had a better afternoon. Many thanks.

We were staying in Brampton with a group of friends, and booked a table at the Howard Arms as a birthday celebration Communication was excellent, they accommodated a last minute change in booking time with courtesy. Everything about the evening was enjoyable The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was amazing - well beyond regular pub fare AND at a reasonable price. A lovely atmosphere I wish we were lucky enough to have a pub of this quality in our home town.

Superb Food & Service. Sorry we couldn’t stay longer ! Great atmosphere too We WILL be back Excellent Large Menu to suit all tastes We called in by chance on the way to a concert and didn’t have time to really enjoy a leisurely meal but certainly will the next time. May even stay over.
