Travelodge Colchester Feering

The staff were lovely friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and peaceful and I had everything I needed it was nice to have a few places next to the front to eat ..the manager was really nice my only bad point is that if you don't drive be prepared for the taxi drivers to completely rip you off I had to phone about 10 cab companies to eventually get a cab to the station 2 mins cost me £22 but that is not the hotels fault

Very welcoming reception from a lovely lady called Jane and a young lad Ledley (name might not be right). Nice to have a friendly face to say hello to on arrival, now I'm just trying to use up the minimum 200 character requirement so just a few more words and there

I have to give a big shout out to the girls running this hotel. Excellent service and they go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. Having travelled a bit, it was nice to be looked after so well. Kelly, Shan and the manageress are not paid enough lol Thank you xx

Couldn’t do more for me. Great location for somewhere to put my head. Nice clean rooms. Especially clean bathroom Couldn’t fault. I left my charger and they called me to tell me that it was still at hotel and we arranged its repatriation. It’s not the first time I have left something behind and normally that’s it. But nice for them to go the extra mile

Excellent stay. The Reception lady was welcoming and informative. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Despite being near a dual carriageway, the double glazing was efficient and there was no road noise. As a woman travelling alone I felt very safe.

The place was very clean, basic room. Quiet, close to somewhere to eat, local shop, petrol station and free parking. Room is sparse but for a basic stay to sleep or rest it’s perfectly good. No hesitation staying again, no fuss, no frills bed. Comfy bed, great shower.

Great stay - staff went out if their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were met by a very friendly receptionist who made us feel very welcome and valued. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice place to stay when visiting the area! L

We came to Colchester to attend a family wedding at Layer Marney Towers. We had a terrible journey from Wales and on first impressions when we drew into the car park, our hearts sank as the A12 is very busy and noisy and the front door had seen better days; BUT the staff were warm, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spacious, super clean and I thought appeared recently refurbished (2 years ago!). The rooms on the right hand side have a very pleasant outlook of trees and a lawn and hedge and delightful bunnies to spot. With the windows closed the traffic is reduced to a background hum. It was a very pleasant three night stay and the Londis is very well stocked. Our only gripe, and this is not Travel Lodge’s fault, is that you can’t go anywhere without going on the A12. Shame there isn’t a ‘back door’ alternative road. All best wishes to the lovely staff who obviously take pride in the building and the guests.
