Lovely hotel in a lovely city. My wife was travelling on business and we decided to do an overnight trip as we had a 6 hour drive each way. The check-in process was quick and simple and they offered us an upgrade on our room without us asking. The room was exactly like the pictures and had an amazing view of the castle. We have an electric car and they have free charging which fortunately was available all the time we needed as the hotel was not particularly busy. The breakfast buffet was good and the breakfast room itself is very interesting with a tree growing from the stone floor and then to the outside through a window that has been glazed around it! We didn't get to use the pool as it was out of season and far too cold, but it looked like it would be worth a visit in the summer with the kids.

The Pousada is lovely, the rooms spacious & well appointed. The breakfast is disappointing. Instant coffee…yuck. Asked for cappuccino, got hot chocolate … yuck. A nice selection of fresh fruit & good breads. We dined 2x at Restaurant G. The service was excellent … but somehow the dishes, though beautifully presented … all seemed to taste the same? Second night cheese board was exceptional! Order that if you can.

It was cold weather when we arrived in the afternoon, and so was our room! Fortunately we wanted to go out for a walk to see the sights so we heated up the room while outside. Pool was closed, no other spa or other activities. Breakfast good. The restaurant is supposed to be Michelin, but quite expensive and we chose to go elsewhere. Beautiful views from the hotel. Quiet.

We stayed here for two nights in a nice modern room that overlooked the castle! The hotel also has a Michelin restaurant that we took advantage of for both nights :) great food - although the portions were a bit on the small size there were quite a few dishes! Thoroughly recommend!

We had two nights here giving us one full day to explore Braganca. This is a modern purpose built hotel rather than a historic building, built so balconies on every our 'classic' room have a superb view over to the Citadel and castle. The terrace to the bar also had these views which were impressive. Also impressive we discovered we had a Michelin * restaurant to enjoy that evening, which we did! Service in the bar was a bit slow but the service in the restaurant was superb. The second night we had a meal in the citadel and discovered there was quite a close relationship with the hotel which was good to hear. Comments: no safe in room, no tea/coffee making facitieis and poor air conditioning as well as slow bar service. Unfortunately my phone photos are too large to post apparently.

Uma visita para relembrar visitas anteriores, mostra a mesma qualidade e simpatia. A sala de estar passou a ter um recuperador em vez da grande lareira, por causa do fumo que de quando em vez acontecia. A família Geada, é sinónimo de bom comer, e estar. e isso é uma imagem de marca desta pousada. O quarto, com vista para o castelo, é confortável e asseado.

Instalações muito acolhedoras, quarto excelente pela dimensão e vistas para o castelo, sala de estar muito agradável. Serviço de receção e excelente em todos os turnos pela simpatia dos funcionários. No serviço de bar e pequeno almoço a delicadeza e saber estar de alguns funcionários deixou a desejar. Não é compatível com o nível da pousada ouvir conversas e discussões entre os funcionários.

Para atribuir resigno-me com um Médio +. Quartos amplos e silenciosos. Bom colchão. Instalação sanitária espaçosa. As fechaduras das portas estão obsoletas e pouco funcionais. Elevador ruidoso e a transmitir pouca confiança. Bar a necessitar de novas cadeiras/estofos. A disposição do pequeno almoço buffet, com exceção das bebidas que são servidas à mesa, impede a movimentação dos hóspedes e não é necessário a sala estar cheia. De salientar o bom atendimento dos funcionários mesmo tendo em conta a juventude de alguns.
