High Falls Bay Cottages, Camping & Waterpark

Such a wonderful place! Cottage was very nice and clean, great Muskoka vibe. I like that it had a full kitchen with supplies and a smart tv in the living room for the kids. Seating outside the cottage with a barbecue was great. Love that everything is so close. Pool and playground for the kids right near the cottage. The walking trails to the falls with scavenger hunt was a great activity for the family as well as the waterpark with all the boats and water toys. The views from this place are just unbeatable, we could see the waterfalls from the front deck of our cottage. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. We loved this place and will definitely be back again next year!

This is the first review i have been compelled to write because of a truly horrible experience. The owners displayed threatening and aggressive behavior towards us, everything was rundown, the waterfront has not been maintained and the water is dirty and unappealing for swimming. We would never go back and feel like we should warn others against staying here incase they have a similar experience.

My sister and I stayed for five days near the end of June and had a lovely stay. We stayed in the main room section up by the cottages, and had the most amazing view of the waterfalls from our front porch. The room was basic, but clean with all the amenities you would need including a kitchenette, private bathroom, kettle, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster, as well as all the dishes needed for a short stay. There is a covered porch to sit and relax with a coffee each morning. The resort itself is attached to a campground, so you can walk down through the woods to the waterfall, which then leads to an absolutely gorgeous beach of golden sand. The campsites down by the water had direct access to the river that leads to the waterfall, with wooden docks along the beach for customers to enjoy. There is also the coolest hike through the woods to the waterfall, where you can get relatively close to the pounding water and gorgeous pink rocks. The resort also has a waterpark, including kayak rentals for families, and it is Stunning experience to kayak up the river and see turtles and lily pads within clean, crisp, spring fed water. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his family, who were friendly and genuine people and are working hard to run the resort for other people to enjoy. If you enjoy rustic, interesting and unique places, High Falls Bay and cottages is the place to visit :)

My family and I had a lovely time at the campground. We were able to stay at a waterfront site, it was gorgeous. We were on a nice sandy beach right off our site. Sites are also well treed, good sizes, relatively private and the view if the waterfalls are stunning. Staff went out if their way to help us settle in and be comfortable. Trail to the waterfall is great fun, with beautiful muskoka rocks and landscape. It’s true the washrooms are portable outhouses, but really no different from one’s at an ontario park in function. We had a lovely visit and will be back.

We recently camped here and found our site ready for use with both garbage and recycle bins. Andrew was friendly and attentive to our needs upon arrival and the girl at the water park so very helpful and friendly (sorry forget her name). The falls are such a great attraction and there's absolutely beautiful trails off the camp ground you should explore. There is some construction equipment and debris going on but am sure it's only to improve and maintain on going issues within the bush. We enjoyed our stay for this weekend and will be back. Really not a great experience, was not what was advertised, no pump out station unless you have portable pump out, after we were told we could. “water park” is run down and a lot of broken things on shore..even guest have to pay for the beach. Dog poop on the beach, our lot didn’t have hydro it had to be ran from another site..had to take children off site to use a proper clean beach. very unorganized. Not once did we see Owner to speak to or ask how things were.
