The hotel is right next to the Cologne Cathedral, and there is a great restaurant downstairs, next to the train station, the traffic is very convenient. The room you stayed in was very spacious and you could spread out your suitcase at will. Drinks in the minibar are free and good value for money. The reception staff were friendly and happy to answer questions. The bellmen are also friendly. Parents stayed very satisfied.

There was no air conditioning (AC) even though the hotel advertised as having it. Their excuses was that it was too cool at night to operate the AC for the hotel even though it was actually very warm outside. Translation: the entire hotel is either on heat or AC, they are too frugal to allow use of the advertised AC, or their system is outdated and does not actually work properly. Very hot and stuff room. The odd thing was is that the hotel lobby seemed to have AC. The hallways and room were uncomfortably hot. Upon checking in there was only a little bit of toilet paper was left on the roll. Fortunately there was an extra roll provided. Only a few sheets of Kleenex were in the box. Also, the hand soap dispenser was nearly empty. It seems not much care is given to the rooms between guests. On our last day the housekeeper knocks on the door early in the morning even tough the “do not disturb” sign was hung on the door. It was a basic room with furnishings that included a desk, a small round table, 2 small nightstands, a desk chair, and one sitting chair. There was no usable refrigerator, just a mini bar. The was only one suitcase rack situated in the closet. We had to use the sitting chair for our other suitcase. The beds were not too comfortable. Also the pillow case did not completely cover the pillow, so your head might rest upon the exposed portion of the pillow where the lasts hundreds of guest placed their heads. Bathroom was OK but a bit smelly. The shower had low water pressure. Some water will leak out under the shower door to the floor. Stepping over the high tub with a slippery shower floor is a bit precarious. Internet speed was 3.81 Mbps in both upload and download, with 8 ms latency. The location is near the chocolate museum and a good pizza and pasta restaurant is nearby. The cathedral is less than a mile away. At almost 400 euros a night, it was very expensive for a poor experience. Perhaps HN stands for “Not Happy.”

Sadly this is NOT a 5 star hotel and I don’t even know how they got that rating. They may have been at one point but unfortunately my experience there was not of a 5 star hotel. The staff was very friendly however the hotel itself was very underwhelming. Upon arrival there was a paper stuck on the elevator saying there will be no water after midnight for the next 3 days . We then got a room on the 6th floor which had a nice view of the street, however at 8am in the morning we were woken up by drilling sounds from a floor above us and when we complained to the staff they said there was nothing they could do about it, we then finally got moved to the second floor, but the furniture in that room was so old rusty and outdated in my opinion. My boyfriend wanted to go take a nice swim in the pool that is advertised on their website only to realize that using it is an extra charge as the pool does not belong to the hotel. The pillows we had were also very bad, usually you get a set of about 2-3 pillows in 5 star hotels but we only got 1 flat pillow each which was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Sadly the only good thing about this hotel is that it’s very close to everything, about 5 minutes to the main station and the supermarket is right across the street as are most restaurants. The Rhein river is also quite close. I believe the hotel has a lot of improvement to do but it seems they are not even considering improvement any time soon. After the not so great experience we had we thought maybe they might offer some sort of compensation but nothing was offered. Once again this is really not a 5 star hotel so don’t be fooled.

Things went okay at check-in, I don't speak the original language myself and wanted to speak English, which was not appreciated by the look on the face. We also received an incorrect route description to the room, we had to walk all the way to the back of the hotel to take the elevator, but it was next to the reception. Furthermore, the hotel was very outdated and the roof was leaking because it was raining and I got drops on my head. The hotel room was outdated, except for the shower, which was very luxurious. The room had good hygiene and was clean. The location was very excellent!

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. Splendid Location Situation a few minutes walk from the train station and the main city area, is this hotel definite one of the most strategic location in Cologne. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. Wegen Streiks und Probleme mit Deutsch Bahn musste ich meine Termine verschieben. Ich habe das Hotel gefragt ob ich früher einchecken kann um mein Termin online wahr zu nehmen. Frau Wullf hat alles für mich arrangiert damit ich meinen Termin online fortsetzen kann. Am nächsten Tag habe ich auch einen Termin online. Der Kollege von Frau Wulff hat mit dem Housekeeping-Team koordiniert damit das Zimmer von 13 Uhr fertig gereinigt ist. Dadurch könnte ich meinen Termin um 14 Uhr wahrnehmen. The hotel is 15 minutes from Bozeman Airport and there is a Walmart supermarket next door. One night before going to Huangshi Park, I got off the plane and lived here. I just bought it at the supermarket next to the restaurant and took it to the park. The hotel is similar to a motel, but it is better than the motel, the facilities are new, the room is large, the breakfast is OK, milk, bread, waffles, scrambled eggs are all available. Although close to the roadside, but noisy, the door of the room is inside the hotel, not external, it is safer. It takes about one and a half hours drive from the hotel to reach the north gate of Yellowstone Park. It is cheaper than the town living outside the North Gate, and the facilities are good.

We are here for two nights, but this review is just after night one! We were very impressed with the check in process yesterday and the cleanliness of the facility and rooms. My son and I swam last night and used to the hot tub too. Everything was just right! He hasn’t used the weight room yet, but we checked it out and he’s planning to lift some weights tonight after we get back from hiking. On the way back from breakfast this morning, I met Desirea, one of the housekeepers, in the hallway on the second floor. She asked me how everything was so far and if we needed any services. She helped carry two more towels and two water bottles to our room because my hands were full. She is so attentive and super sweet! I can tell that she enjoys her job and making the guests feel comfortable. 😊

First things first, we were grateful that Motel 6 welcomed us and our 4 dogs (all between 5 and 14lbs), and there was no charge for the dogs! Our room was not carpeted and was the biggest one we stayed in all week. There was even a couch in the room. The bathroom (only shower) was a bit small and probably needs an upgrade but it was perfect for us. We had to walk our dogs down one floor to get outside but our dogs were fine with that. Great room, one of the best we stayed in during this road trip! And the front desk was really friendly during check in.
