The hotel is located halfway up the mountain beside Lake Windermere, with a view of the lake. The whole villa is very beautiful and the service is very good. The room was heated and not very cold. It is worth staying a few more days next time.

The hotel is good overall, but the lawn outside is not as big as in the picture. It takes 20 minutes to walk down the mountain from the hotel. Bowness town is at the bottom of the mountain, and you can take a boat. It is better to take a taxi back at night. Once, there was no street light on the second half of the way back, and I felt the "dark night". The names of the hotel rooms are named after the towns in the lake area, which is quite interesting. The hotel includes breakfast (Ctrip shows that it does not, but it is actually included in the local area), and the dinner I ordered later was also delicious and exquisite.

On my bucket list for decades was a visit to the storied Lakes District of England and for my 78th birthday, my dream was realized with a trip to Lindeth Fell Guest House. If I could give them more than five stars, I would. They helped me celebrate my life in the most glorious way! A breathtaking beauty, this elegant Edwardian home – nestled into a lush hillside of century-old rhododendrons, azaleas, and expansive deciduous and evergreen trees – offered me the perfect place to settle in for a week of pleasurable memories. Lindeth Fell’s amazing personnel outdid themselves to make every detail of my itinerary come to life. Their caring hospitality knew no bounds as they solved issues from the routine (the Chef leant me his power cord) to the truly unexpected (the currency I brought with me was no longer accepted). I was presented on the morning of my birthday with a song, a lovely card signed by all the staff, and a gift bag of beautiful and practical souvenirs that I can and still use at home, in Colorado. The restaurant’s waiter, who was on a summer break from University of St. Andrew’s in Edinburgh Scotland, charmed me with delightful conversations, while ensuring all my needs were met before I departed each day to explore the wealth of beauty and history throughout the region. As I said good-bye, the concierge presented me with a puzzle box of Lindeth Fell that I have pieced together, framed, and put on my wall as a reminder of one of the most memorable times of my life. I will never forget my experience at Lindeth Fell Guest House and recommend it to anyone who desires the most fulfilling vacation imaginable.

i can’t put into words just how wonderful this place is. I had the most amazing relaxing weekend here , I was so chilled that I felt like I’d had 2 weeks away not 2 days! The food was fantastic throughout our stay using local high quality ingredients . Harry and the team couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome, highly recommend Johns cocktails, it truly was a home from home. If you totally want to unwind and leave the rat race behind this is the place for you. The gardens are beautiful I recommend sitting on the terrace and watching the sun go down . Give this place a go if you want to unwind and relax.

We have been visiting the Lindeth Fell for over 25 years, but were a bit more nervous this time as it had changed hands since we last went and we LOVED the old regime under the wonderful Kennedy family! However, we need not have been nervous. Yes, things are superficially a bit different: The decor downstairs has been updated and a few faces were changed, but the hotel still felt like a lovely, warm and friendly place to be, whilst upholding the very high standards for cleanliness and service we have always experienced. The bedroom was as special as ever - we love the fact the rooms are all different and not identical as in most hotels - and the food in the evening and at breakfast was freshly cooked and, quite simply, delicious! (Thank you to the chef!) Most of all it was great to meet new, very friendly faces in Harry and Ben, and two from earlier visits, Cath and Kate. The staff all gave out the message that nothing was too much trouble and we appreciate all they did to make us welcome. So, in summary, we thoroughly recommend this lovely place. We certainly hope to go back again soon...!

We couldn’t be happier with the service Lindeth Fell gave us for our wedding day. Everything they do is of top quality. We didn’t expect such good and personal service from the staff but they gave their all and took away all of our stresses on the day. The food is of the highest standard. Our wedding meal was served with military precision which impressed all of our guests. Olivia, Harry and Ben couldn’t have been more helpful as well as the waiters who were always smiling. The prices were very fair for the standard received. The hotel is very picturesque, making it perfect for a wedding
