This is a lovely cottage! The dining room is well decorated and the room is comfy and clean. The host Glen and Susan are very nice and suggested us lots of good spots to go. Highly recommend. :)

What a jewel within the Lake District. Such a warm welcome and fabulous atmosphere for a pleasant stay. Rooms are very well set out with plenty of nice touches to make you feel like it’s a home from home. Highly recommend staying here for a visit to the lakes.

Storrs Gate House was the perfect choice in every way! The house is lovely with a spacious living room, a welcoming breakfast room, and beautiful bedrooms. Susann and Glen were so fun! They love Bowness and the surrounding Lake District and had so many ideas for us to explore. And the location..... perfection! Within walking distance of Windermere Lake, a great restaurant (The Boathouse), the ferry to get across the lake, and Bowness. We walked from the B&B into Bowness multiple times during out stay. It was a great way to walk off the indulgence of food and drink and we didn't have to contend with finding parking. Highly Recommend!

we had a lovely stay ,hosts were lovely people ,room was excellent ,comfy bed ,plenty room , breakfast was great ,plenty of choice ,cracking full english ,would definitly stay again if round that way ,plenty of parking ,in good range of bars and eateries.

What a wee gem of a place, absolutely spotless, great location, and very friendly. Would recommend. It was our anniversary and Susanne upgraded our room. Lovely lady. Bedroom was beautiful Would love to go back for a long weekend in the spring.

The Storrs Gate House is a stunning b&b, the rooms are stunning and every little detail has been thought of. There is White Co product in the bathroom and china teasets for your tea & coffee in the rooms. Breakfast is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Susann & Glenn are perfect hosts and the ladies serving breakfast are so lovely we will be definitely staying again and will recommend to all our friends x

Fabulous stay in a gorgeous guest house. Hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, the breakfasts were amazing and all freshly prepared with lots of choice. The room was excellent and extremely comfortable. We will definitely return.

An absolute gem of a B and B! Well placed for touring the Lake District. Susan and Glenn made us feel very welcome, and even offered us coffee and a mince pie on arrival. They also gave me a card on my birthday! Room 3 (Victorian Suite) was fabulous with a spacious bedroom and king-size four poster bed. The dressing room was a most useful space, and the bathroom was large and well fitted. The decor throughout the house was elegant and tasteful. The Christmas decorations, twinkling fairy lights and candles enhanced the overall ambience. The breakfasts were served in the attractive dining room, with linen tablecloths and fine china. They were plentiful and very tasty with a comprehensive choice. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge on one evening, chatting to other residents. We'll certainly return in the summer, so we can take advantage of the attractive garden. Thank you, Susann and Glenn for a most enjoyable stay.
