The hospitality at Hotel Mangart was absolutely phenomenal. The hostesses went out of their way to make me feel welcome and at home. One hostess accommodated my diet when the dinner menu when I was unable to eat what was being served. Another hostess, Ana S. was exceptional from the beginning of my stay to the end. When I lost my sunglasses in town, she went out of her way to give me a pair of her own which she no longer used. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Pretty basic but as a 1 night stop on Rick Steves tour it was fine. The market mentioned in other reviews has closed... bit of a schlep to get to a market for a cold beer... but nice to have and sit by the pool. Pool is hard to get in and out of but refreshing! About 15 min walk to the dinner location.

A delightful spacious hotel just a short 10 minute walk from centre of Bovec. Lovely outdoor pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Evening dinner was excellent and food and drinks prices seemed cheap. Next door to the rafting/ canyoning etc meeting point

We 2 adults 3 kids Have the best service at this hotel. Price was a big deal as we did not pay for kids under 5years. ( all of them are under 5) Actually we spend £483 - 3 nights . On new year event. Food was very good quality, service also. I highly recommend it

Excellent location in the lovely town of Bovec, Slovenia near the Soca Valley. Friendly and approachable staff who engage with the guests. A very short drive to see some of the beautiful waterfalls nearby, plenty of water activities and hiking. We dined at the hotel and the food was great. Two course with wine for two people was approximately 50 EU, which is good value. The view of the mountains from our balcony was a bonus. The only constructive feedback I would give is that they needed two waiters for the dinner. The waiter we had on each night tried very hard to cater for all the guests, but it was evidently too much for one person.

Everything was great. The only thing that could be better was two single beds that could be replaced with a double bed. I don't know if I had the chance to choose that at the time of booking. Other than that everything was great and the hotel is in a nice location.

The hotel is cleverly photographed. The disappointing reality is a rather sterile blot on the beautiful landscape and safe to say the view from the window is the best thing about it. It’s annoying when you go on holiday to pay relative top dollar for a place that doesn’t meet expectations. The pokey rooms had a musty/ smoky odour; loos didn’t flush properly; one thin pillow each. Again misleading photography makes the pool look big - it’s actually a tiny plunge pool. The receptionist was frosty and indifferent when we arrived. We couldn’t get snacks or drinks outside of mealtimes. On the plus side the breakfast was generous and the hotel is handy for the town. Overall though visitors to Bovec can do a whole lot better. It says four stars, I’m only experiencing 3…..or even 2. The Hotel Mangart welcomes your money but sadly not you!

Hotel Mangart is a traditional style mountain hotel. Whilst the hotel is quite old, it is quite well maintained. The reception staff was a bit blunt. The rooms were basic and clean. The breakfast room was in the basement what was pity. The food selection was basic. All in all ok stay
