"We had an amazing stay at Nataya Round House this week. It's quiet, right on the water, and the service is so wonderful. Many thanks to Min Pai, who made our stay so nice. He went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed. He even found out it was our wedding anniversary and arranged a romantic dinner on the waterfront for us. He is a great manager, and his staff is well trained. The facilities are well maintained and clean, including the cute bungalows, which afforded privacy and comfort. It's a great place to escape for a few days. Just a couple of notes to make everything clear. First, there is no beach with ocean swimming at this hotel. There is a sandy area and a fabulous swimming pool, but you cannot go in the ocean. The salt water pool is currently closed. Secondly, Nataya is about 40 minutes by tuk-tuk out of Kompot, so it's kind of secluded. That was great, as we were looking for a little retreat to relax. But it means the only meal choice is the restaurant, which we found to be quite yummy and reasonably priced. This is a fantastic place for families to play together or couples/singles to find a retreat. If I lived in Cambodia, it would be my ”go to” place for a long weekend."
