Coombe House

We stayed for two nights and it was a very pleasant stay. The house is decent and clean, and the host is friendly. The breakfast is great, too. .

We enjoyed a two night stay in this charming and convenient location. Made perfect by host Dave, who is welcoming, attentive, and engaging. We felt well cared for and savored a yummy breakfast. Additionally, Dave shared valuable insight on hikes and recommendations on restaurants and sights for exploring. We would eagerly return!

What a delightful experience. Dave is a fantastic host very warm and quite the perfectionist. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and tasteful and the breakfast was delicious.

This was my second visit to Coombe House after visiting with a friend in 2024. We had such a great time then and when I returned this year, travelling alone, I spent an amazing 5 days revisiting the beautiful Bourton on the Water and staying at Coombe House. Everything was perfect, the rooms cosy and breakfast first class. David is the best host - knowledgeable, funny and always great company. I highly recommend Coombe House!

Coombe house is without a doubt one of the most special places we have ever stayed. Located in the gorgeous and charming village of Bourton-on-the Water, Combe House was our respite for several nights while we cycled through the Cotswolds. The house itself is lovingly decorated, pristinely maintained, warm, and comfortable. The location, a five-minute walk (along a scenic river) outside of the main center of Bourton-on-the-Water, makes it feel like a quiet and peaceful sanctuary separate from the bustle of activity on the main High Street. Breakfast was included and was hearty and delicious - even the granola and plain yogurt starter course was delightful and tasty. As a house, the lodging rooms are impeccable and thoughtfully appointed. Our room was spotless and cozy and thoughtfully stocked with anything we may have needed for our stay. Privacy is assured; we did not see or hear other guests except at breakfast. There is a lovely community sitting room and dining area with view of the garden and fountain. Parking is available behind the home and there are places to store bikes that are non-visible from the street. The quality of your stay and the value you get from the lodging, location, and included breakfast is out of this world. However, the true jewel in the crown, and what made our stay completely unforgettable, is the host of the house, David. David is the kind of person who really makes an impact on the people he comes into contact with. You can tell he has a true love and passion for what he does, and for people in general. It’s hard to imagine a person more suited to running a B&B. From the moment we met him, he charmed us with his sense of humor and made us feel completely at home. He very impressively does the lion’s share of the upkeep and maintenance of the B&B on his own. He was a very active but non-intrusive presence in our stay, giving us activity and fabulous meal recommendations, cooking and serving breakfast, and even letting us borrow helmets for a cycle ride. He is just an incredibly kind, giving, and lovely person who genuinely cares about every single guest coming through the doors. We checked out 3 days ago and miss him!! If you are considering traveling near Bourton-on-the-Water, please do visit, and please do stay at Coombe House. You will not regret it.

Best 3 day stay! My husband and I just stayed at David’s beautiful bed and Breakfast. We have been to the Cotswolds last year and decided to stay here this time. Best decision. We stayed in the lovely Annex room and it was very comfy. Very clean and private. Great parking, and David serves an Amazing breakfast, with all the food one could eat.David also gave us guidance on where to visit during the day, plus restaurants for dinner. He did not disappoint. You will be very happy if you book with David! Chris Julian
